The city that we built

Davi walked up to the front of the room amid a chorus of woops and cheers. Alina stomped her feet loudly on the ground and Thiago whistled with his thumb and forefinger between his teeth.

Ivo watched it all in silence. He didn't want to look behind to check Corvo's reaction because he knew that would be too obvious. But he had a feeling Maguari was making some kind of point.

He just hoped that wouldn't lead to even more resentment.

For his part, Davi didn't look too comfortable to be up there in front of the white board.  He rubbed the back of his neck, showing the audience a great view of his bicep, which went a long way to make everyone much more interested in what he was about to say.

"It's always though to follow Maguari." He looked back at the whiteboard, accessing.

He came to a decision and took a black marker from its stand, uncapped it, twirled it in the air, and facing the board said: "We should start from the beginning. The basics."
