Lite POV
Lite had just talked to Minato and Tsunade. He honestly felt that there are many things that he could explain better, and others that he failed to say.
'Although I think the two of them are smart enough to deduce a lot of the information I didn't convey well, I still worry if they don't catch everything.
Well, now at least I can rest easy since the first part of everything is complete and it turned out much better than I expected.
Now I have just over a year until the Kyuubi invasion happens , relaxing a bit is finally possible.
The seal I made to save Rin is far from the perfect one I had in mind. I used the base from my previous world too much and that made it easier for me to do it, but it prevented me from bringing out the advantages that this world has. There is still a lot of untapped potential.'
The truth was that Lite was quite stressed, he knew that if it turned out well. The rest of his plans for the rest of his life would be much simpler. On the other hand, he was extremely happy that he had been able to save Rin from death. She had always seemed like a radiant girl to him and her death was too dramatic for his tastes, even though it wasn't necessarily very cruel, but sacrificing herself to save her village like that touched his heart.
On the other hand, the guilt he felt for having to face Obito from now on anguished him. After all, he had asked the people around him what he was like as a person, and although he could tell that no one had a good perception of him because he was not very talented and stained the Uchiha's pride, they all concluded that he was someone radiant that brightened up their days a little. Which made him feel bad since he could have used some method to inform them about what he knew and save his life. Unfortunately, he could not. Knowing the future is a curse as much as a blessing, because you know that there are tragedies that cannot be avoided so that history follows its original line as best as posible, and your only advantage to save as many people as possible can not be destroyed before you even start.
In the end he concluded that his entire clan was full of tsunderes who used their pride to hide their feelings of shame.
Well, even though that was a bit of an exaggeration, living here made him realize that his clan wasn't really bad at all, it's just that the stupid village leaders pushed them to the brink, causing many extremists to emerge.
'Well, now I just have to prepare everything to clean up this village. For that, Minato, you must die.
Luckily I now have two possible helpers who can do many of the things that would be impossible or very restrictive for me to do. Which will allow me to focus more on the study of fuinjutsu and make plans accordingly.
What I did so far was a good start, but if I say it's a complete system, it's a total lie, at most it's a combination of two things taped together, it may seem like something very advanced and novel to someone who doesn't have much knowledgeof the thing wich were the foundations of my old world, but to someone with a bit of an idea it's nothing more than a desperate attempt to make something and hope for it to work.
The final result was 15 square meters, but that was because, first, the transport was not stable at all since I made it for single use. Afterwards, although the distance seems great for the people of this world, the truth is that it is nothing compared to its true potential.
Let's not forget that my world used this to travel several light years to another planet, of course the energy consumption was quite a lot, but it was as efficient as possible, which was another problem with this, all the chakra I stored for so long was used, leaving only the minimum for communication.
In the end, if I were to fix those and other little bugs and use the same impossible to call "seal system" thing, it would take about 40 square meters.
But I'm sure if I managed to do a true fusion, I would end up with about 20 square meters. It is much more than what I did now, but it is something perfect and with several uses. There is not point of comparation.
Well, I'm going to rest for a few days and wait for Tsunade and Rin to be alone. They will be, after all, the first ones I will recruit.
Days passed and Lite paid attention from time to time.
The moment he realized it was time, he deactivated the safety he had put on the seal. In fact, that was quite simple to do, he just made use of the bits of logic gates. Something quite simple, unfortunately there was not even a trace of this type of technique in the books he had obtained, which made him lament how complicated things were for the masters of this world. If they wanted to make an on/off system they had to use a more extensive form of mathematical expression and variables. It honestly made his head hurt .
But hey, now he had heard Rin and Tsunade talk. That was thanks to the fact that although he ran out of energy to reproduce sound there. For it to serve as a sound receiver that it spies on them a bit was possible, although it had to be done at intervals of time so as not to run out of credit in the middle.
Tsunade POV
'This guy… I feel like he's playing more and more with us every time.
But there's nothing I can do. I'd better finish this game as soon as possible.'
Honestly, she was tired of worrying so much, so she decided to just go with the flow and try her best. If not, she feared going crazy with paranoia at some point.
'Well, it says activate, so I guess I just need to add chakra, right?'
Said and done, the moment he concentrated his chakra, the seal began to light up slightly.
— Hello Tsunade? (Lite)
— That's me. I thought you didn't want to talk anymore. (Tsunade)
— Of course not, it's just that it's not possible to say certain things with Minato next to you. (Lite)
— First of all, I need you to tell me, what is your purpose? (Tsunade)
— Oh? I thought I already told you. (Lite)
— I want a clear answer. Who is the supposed enemy? (Tsunade)
Tsunade had certainly paid attention to everything he said earlier, but she wanted something much more definite. Until now, in the few interactions that they had, the other side always had the initiative, and it was so much so that they were not even capable of putting up any resistance. It is so much so that she fears she will end up doing something harmful to the village without even realizing it.
— That's something I can't tell you right now. (Lite)
— Why? I don't think we can work well like this. (Tsunade)
— To give you an example, imagine the despair a genin would feel if he was given the mission to assassinate Jiraiya. It doesn't matter if you give him years, he will consider it impossible to face such a powerful carácter, even ridiculous (Lite)
— Do you mean that the difference between that enemy and me is that big? (Tsunade)
— No, in this case the difference is so great that it would be something like an academy student being given a mission to kill Hashirama. (Lite)
— …A little hard to believe. (Tsunade)
— You see? That's why it's better not to give you any details. (Lite)
— At least tell me how come you know so much, do you come from the future? (Tsunade)
That was one of the things she had in mind, in fact, temporal space jutsus, although rare, they exist, so it is not impossible to think that something more advanced has been developed in the future.
— I'm not from the future, for now you just have to keep in mind that I seek the best for this world. (Lite)
— Not Konoha? (Tsunade)
— Although I was forced to choose this place as a starting point, I would not put it among my priorities. This village is too dirty to leave as it is. (Lite)
— What are you talking about? (Tsunade)
— You are a high level ninja, so you know that nothing and nobody is clean, but the case of Konoha is an exaggeration. (Lite)
Tsunade was confused, obviously being a ninja is not a job for saints, many of the A and S level missions involved assassination, information extraction and more. So he couldn't refer to that.
— Certainly. (Tsunade)
— Konoha is too rotten inside. Not even Minato will be able to make it resurface. (Lite)
— Right … Wait what? (Tsunade)
Even he won't be able to change... But he's not part of the circle of village leaders, unless...
— That's right, when this war ends, Minato, with the support of Hiruzen , will ascend to the position of Hokage. (Lite)
The voice was sure of itself and, in fact, although a little surprising, she could see that future. Although it still caught her attention why necessarily he if there were more candidates available.
— What about Orochimaru and Danzo? (Tsunade)
— Orochimaru will betray the village and Danzo is a piece of trash. (Lite)
Although it bothers her that someone insults the leaders of her village, and she could agree that Danzo was not a good person, that was his job, calling him a piece of trash is an exaggeration.
— Will Orochimaru betray us? (Tsunade)
— Come on, take it easy. Hiruzen is an incompetent guy, but even he wouldn't be foolish enough to give a position of near-absolute power to someone who's tried to assassinate him before. And regarding Orochimaru, you will understand it in a few months. (Lite)
— What did you say?! (Tsunade)
Tsunade clenched her fists. This was the first time he had heard such savagery. If true and this information gets out, the enemy villages would do whatever it takes to cooperate and wipe out one of the pillars of the village.
— As you hear it. (Lite)
— Who else knows about this? (Tsunade)
— About the attack? No one else, Hiruzen is a sentimental old man who forgives his friend everything, but still knows very well what he should do. Everyone involved on those occasions was eliminated. Can you believe it? His ambu , those who fought with their lives to protect him. They were killed by their own leader to protect their lifelong friend. It's serious, how laughable. (Lite)
— Grrr ... What you say, is it true? (Tsunade)
— Ask your dear teacher if you want, just tell him that you noticed certain guys that you seem to have no emotions constantly watching you and if he knows anything about it, you can figure out the rest from there yourself. (Lite)
— *sigh* No need, something always seemed wrong with that guy, but I didn't expect it to be to the point. (Tsunade)
— Oh, I don't hear much disappointment in your voice towards your sensei. (Lite)
— He did what he had to do. (Tsunade)
The truth was that Tsunade was pretty stunned, but she couldn't put herself in a position of vulnerability against this guy.
To think that there have been guys who give their lives and receive that treatment in return… she feels that the future nights she won't be able to sleep well.
— I don't agree with you, and I suggest that you don't act strong in front of me. It just makes my job easier. (Lite)
— ! (Tsunade)
— I know your character, I know the things you can accept and which you can't. I already told you, I'm not looking to take advantage of you. What I want is a working relationship and cooperation. (Lite)
— *sigh* (Tsunade)
— You should stop doing that, it's not good for a lady to sigh so much. (Lite)
— Miss? At my age? (Tsunade)
— Well, you're still a virgin, so it's not wrong to call you miss. (Lite)
— Wha— (Tsunade)
Now, even Rin who had been left out of the conversation couldn't help but send a look that could only be understood as "Really?"
It must be taken into account that they are ninjas and their minds are more developed than that of normal people, so the fact that there is someone of such an age who has not yet done so was quite rare. In fact, there are many missions for gennins and chunnins , especially that include this type of service, of course the pay is also higher.
Blushing, Tsunade couldn't help but clench her fists for the umpteenth time. True, she hadn't had her first time yet, but romantic relationships after Dan's death she had, though nothing serious and ended pretty quickly. They were basically guys just looking to take advantage of her while she was down. For those types of guys, she didn't hesitate to give them a good beating. But anyone would think that she was no longer a "lady" with all that.
— Calm down, that information will become public in the future, it was funny knowing how you locked yourself in your house for a whole month. (Lite)
'Damn, how funny it is to bother her' (Lite)
While Lite was thinking that, Tsunade could only get angrier and angrier at him, at the same time thinking about who the bastard was who released the news. Now that she knew this, it wasn't impossible to finish him or her before it's too late.
— *Sigh* Ahhh… Back on topic. You were telling me that Minato will become Hokage. (Tsunade)
— You're not funny. Well, it's true. (Lite)
— I know his character, it is hard for me to believe that he will not be able to improve the situation of the village as you say. (Tsunade)
— You are right, he has a fair character and certainly the village would have improved under him. But there are two big problems that will prevent you from doing so. (Lite)
— Explain yourself. (Tsunade)
Tsunade demanded an explanation with a serious tone. He couldn't help but feel a bad premonition.
— You see, the first is that although he has a fair character, his way of operating is too gentle and he lacks a strong hand. A clear example is those advisers that the village has, they are nothing more than parasites. You should know that this position is appointed by the Hokage himself, but Minato didn't change them for his trusted people even after taking the position, just because he took their "past contributions" into account. (Lite)
Although he couldn't say if what he did, or rather didn't do, was right. Minato not firing that pair of geezers was certainly a case of negligence on his part.
— I see... And the second? (Tsunade)
— Minato will die a year after receiving the position. (Lite)
— WHAT?! (Tsunade)
There are many things that have been said so far in this conversation, but for it to be revealed that a Kage will perish so lightly was something she couldn't prepare for at all.
— PLEASE! SAVE SENSEI! If you could do it with me, surely you can do it with him too. (Rin)
— RIN! SILENCE! (Tsunade)
Rin couldn't help but feel a sense of crisis. She had pretty much lost everything already, if she wasn't still alive and can see a hope of getting some of the things back in the future then she would have already gone crazy.
However, no one could blame her, not even Tsunade, Minato was one of the most powerful people recognized worldwide. If someone was able to kill him, that meant that the enemy he faced was incredibly powerful. The only reason she told Rin to shut up was that she needed to stay calm.
It's true that up until now this guy had blurted out a lot of truths that could be considered secrets, but that doesn't mean that everything he says from now on is true. After all, a ninja works between truths and lies.
— I would appreciate it if you could say everything in one fell swoop instead of speaking in parts. (Tsunade)
— I can't do it, after all, what you consider important is not necessarily important to me. But what I consider important is definitely so for you. That's why I say the central things first and wait for your questions and reactions. I do not deny of course that it is entertaining to listen to them every time I say something shocking. (Lite)
— A pretty sick form of entertainment. But well, can you explain how he died? (Tsunade)
— A terrorist attack on the village, the Kyuubi broke free and the Kushina died while trying to reseal it. (Lite)
— Which group was able to attack the leaf village? (Tsunade)
— You are wrong honey. It was one person. (Lite)
— *sigh* If I keep getting surprised every time you drop something then my nerves will fry. — Tsunade, as she decided before, became more and more immune to the bombs that this guy dropped, despite not knowing if they were true or not. Now with a serious expression he asked. - Who was? (Tsunade)
— I will not tell you. (Lite)
— If you want to cooperate like you say, telling me how to avoid that is the least you can do, right? (Tsunade)
— No, tell me, why do you think I saved Rin in this particular way and not just do something simpler like blurt out the information of the plan to kidnap her? (Lite)
— *sigh* Before you say anything, let me sigh quietly. (Tsunade)
— It will become a habit, maybe in the future you will be known as the ninja of sighs. (Lite)
At those words, Tsunade closed her mouth immediately.
— … It is because there are things that must happen no matter what, or am I wrong? (Tsunade)
— Tin tin tin . Correct. Just because you know the future doesn't mean you can avoid all the evils that come your way. As you said, there are things that are inevitable, since otherwise you will lose your advantage and possibly the dangers you will face will become much greater. (Lite)
Lite above lived in a time when technology was very advanced. The butterfly effect was something that was taught to children from school and due to the rush to escape the planet, Literature was also affected.
Ideas that were considered outdated, such as time travel, were revived. Many believed that the portal that would be opened could be used to travel back in time and fix humanity's mistakes. It was a hope that those who lived in the black era had above all.
That's why he respected the order of things, and even though he knew that in the end he would end up completely changing the world, he hoped that would be after he amassed enough strength to be able to destroy all unexpected dangers.
— You don't have it easy, but despite that I still want to save him. (Tsunade)
— I know, that's why I'll give you the option. Number one, Minato and Kushina's situation will be the same as Rin's, option two, they die. Of course, even if you cheat me out of the deal and then save them, I have ways of getting back at you. Well, you're too smart to make such a silly mistake. (Lite)
— In other words, even if I save him, the danger will not disappear, I will only make him more cautious and dangerous. (Tsunade)
— I love talking to people who understand things quickly. Although you are wrong about something, I said that it was only one attacker, not that the enemy was only one. (Lite)
— Certainly… but that's not the only reason you have, right? (Tsunade)
— That's how it is. The rest is simple, that someone as capable as Minato spends all day locked in an office doing paperwork is a luxury that cannot be allowed. In fact, if only the guy had trained the amount of time he spends on the during this year, I'm sure he would have been able to drive out the threat without paying such a heavy price. (Lite)
The fact that a Kage , the position most desired by every ninja in every village, is just an office job was one of the open secrets of the entire shinobi world . Certainly, it was a waste of war materiel.
— Um… and Kakashi? what's the matter with him? (Rin)
— Rin! (Tsunade)
— Calm down Tsunade, it's okay if she wants to ask. Well, I'm not saying you'll never see him again though. Now is not just the time. Do you know what the difference is between you and Kakashi? (Lite)
— …No… (Rin)
— That you sacrifice yourself for your loved ones, he for the village. (Lite)
— ? (Rin)
— He already explained it a while ago, his priority is not Konoha. Someone who goes in any way against that cannot be allowed to be near him for fear that his efforts will be ruined. But I don't understand something, I am also someone who puts the village above all else. (Tsunade)
— That's right, but you don't do it for the concept of a village, but for the people who live there. You don't protect Konoha, you protect the villagers who live there. (Lite)
Lite was someone who planned for the future, despite barely having just over a year to live, he strove to learn as much as he could from his past life. Obviously he was not going to forget something as basic as learning to differentiate the different motives that a person may have for performing the same act.
— Good. You got me. Although I still don't fully believe you, I'll let your actions speak for themselves. (Tsunade)
— Thank you. Honestly, I am between a rock and a hard place. (Lite)
— * Hmp * I wish I knew the same things you know. (Tsunade)
— Maybe if you knew, you could achieve more things than me. Unfortunately I can't risk it. (Lite)
Right now, Lite was in his room, lying in his bed looking at the starry sky through his window. The truth is that he really felt that everything would be much easier if he actually told the whole future to reliable people like Jiraiya, Tsunade or Minato; but at the same time he was filled with fear.
The annihilation of his clan in the next few years is not something he can rest easy with leaving his problems to others. Worse yet, he would never trust anyone's kindness, everyone has ulterior motives and the moment he represents a threat, he would be eliminated immediately, his clan would be even more feared by the upper echelons of power if it was known that "a Uchiha can see the future".
But at the same time, he knows that the time he has to form a dependency relationship with others is short. The truth that he is the one posing as the mystery guy will come out sooner or later.
Lite never forgets that he is dealing with people whose greatest skill is the manipulation of information.
He could do the same as many protagonists in novels and pretend that he has some kind of powerful and mysterious teacher, but people in real life are not stupid enough to believe things without proof, nor is he capable enough to carry out that kind of lie.
The best he can do is simply force them to trust him, and that he will be able to guide them down a path where everything does not end in tragedy.
The fourth ninja war was so easy and anticlimactic that Lite has no doubt that the inspiration Kishimoto received was much worse than what ended up being revealed.
'That's why Tsunade, forget about Konoha.'
