// Naruto vs Zabuza //

a little far away from Zabuza's hideout, there lies an open field on the side of a small river. currently, in the field Naruto and Zabuza are standing facing each other, Zabuza had his sword in his hand and Naruto had a chakra infused kunai in his hand. haku was on a hill a little far away, so that he will not get caught by their mad charge.

Naruto looks at Zabuza while thinking about their previous conversations, he could guess that Zabuza was also fed up with life as a missing-nin and wanted to find a place to settle down. he also knew that this fight was just a diversion for him to satisfy his ego. thinking this a smile appear on his face.

seeing Naruto's smile a frown appear on Zabuza's and said.

Zabuza: you ready brat.

hearing him Naruto nodded.

just as Naruto nodded Zabuza disappeared from his place and appeared behind Naruto, he quickly raised his sword and slashed down toward Naruto's head. the sword hit Naruto but before it could go any deeper Naruto was engulfed by white smoke and his body was replaced by a wooden log.

'SUBSTITUTION JUTSU'

seeing this Zabuza remained calm, in his long life he had already seen too many things so it did not surprise him.

Naruto appeared 20 meters away from Zabuza, there were beads of sweat pouring down from his forehead, he never thought that Zabuza will begin with an assassination technique. he raised his hand and look at Zabuza who was looking back at him.

Naruto: you could have at least warned me.

Zabuza: well, a ninja should know how to deal with surprise attacks.

saying this he again disappeared but this time Naruto was prepared, he too disappeared from his place and just as he did Zabuza's sword landed where he was standing before forming a small crater.

a barrage of needles which were formed from wind chakra shot themselves toward Zabuza from all four directions, seeing this Zabuza snorted and made a couple of handsigns.

'SUITON: WATER SHIELD'

suddenly water starts to come out from the ground and formed itself into a shield around Zabuza.

the wind needles tried to pierce through the water barrier but dissolved half-way through.

after blocking the attack the shield turned into water and scattered. Zabuza turned his head and look at Naruto who was standing not far from him, seeing this a frown appear on his face, he raised his sword, infused his chakra in it and slashed his sword toward the ground and ...

'SUITON: SURFACE SLICER'

Naruto disappeared into a puff of smoke.

'SHADOW CLONE JUTSU'.

seeing this Zabuza frowned and just as he was about to sense Naruto's position

suddenly Naruto appeared behind Zabuza and slashed his chakra infused kunai toward his neck but before his kunai could make contact, Zabuza blocked it with his sword and then with an inhuman speed Zabuza slashed his sword and split Naruto in two and ...

'PUFF'

Naruto disappeared into a puff of smoke, by this time these shadow clones were also getting to his nerves, he looks around and sees another shadow clone running toward him, seeing this an angry look appeared on his face and he shouted.

Zabuza: brat are you really gonna play this game of hide and seek, come out and fight me face to face, I want to see your capability so that I can be sure that you are worthy enough for me to hand over my second most precious thing to you.

not far away from him, naruto was looking at the fight between his shadow clones and Zabuza. as he was watching he heard a voice in his head.

Naruto nodded and just as was about to send another clone he heard Zabuza's shout.

hearing this, Naruto thought for a while and decided to fight Zabuza head on.

both the attacks collided and cancel out each other. seeing Naruto's mastery in wind nature Zabuza was a little shocked, after seeing that his attack was neutralized a smile appear on his face and he mumbled to himself.

Zabuza: time to get serious.
