'Huh, where am I?' he said to himself as he looked around. He was in a small wooden room, that was sparsely decorated. Besides a chest at the head of his bed, a dresser on the opposite e side of the room, and a nightstand with a lamp, there was nothing else in the room.
'This isn't my room! Where the fu- AH" before he could finish his thoughts his brain was assaulted with pain as memories that he didn't have before began to surface. He screamed out briefly in pain before he passed out.
As he was slipping into consciousness he vaguely heard footsteps coming his way.
It was another hour before he woke up, with a throbbing headache.

"Ah, Tobi! He's awake" was the first thing I heard my brother say before running out of the room.
'Wait, my brother?' I thought to myself, yea I now had brothers. In fact, I knew exactly who my brothers are. Many people do, well not currently in this world. But in my last they were famous, and in this world, they will become more than famous, legendary even. One is even seen as a God.
Well if you haven't guessed already, my brothers are Tobirama and Hashirama Senju also known as the First and Second Hokages. But those titles are a long way away. Right now their still snotty nose brats who run around causing trouble for our father.
But, you may ask If they are your brothers then who are you? Well, friend, I am one of the forgotten brothers. No, not Kawarama, he's dead. No, I am the coward, Itama. The one that's soon to be dead. The only brother that wasn't a heaven-defying genius.
Obviously, I haven't always been Itama. I use to be someone else in my last life, not anyone important or anything, but someone else non the less. And I just happen to be an avid Naruto fanfiction reader, so yes, I do understand just how fucked my situation is. It might be the most fucked situation I could get. Born as a Senju in the warring states period, just a death wish. Honestly is one of the two worst potentials starts of the warring states period.
While the Senju and Uchiha clans are strong, that has the consequence of them always being hired. Since clans are glorified mercenaries, I'm bound to get some action on the battles field within the next couple of months, regardless of my wishes. The past me had been able to hold off due to the protection of my much better and much stronger brothers, but my father wouldn't relent for much longer.
It would be a lie to say that I'm not terrified right now, but fortunately, it seems I was a pretty good person in my last life. As I didn't come to this world empty-handed, whoever reincarnated me gave me some nice gifts to help me.
And from what I can gain from my memories, Itama wasn't as much of a scrub as he let on. Don't get me wrong he/I am weak as shit, right now. It was not because of his natural talent, his problems were more related to his mentality. But, unlike Itama I knew what I would need to do to survive, and I didn't want to die anytime soon.
Right now I am only 9 years old, while Tobi is 11 and Hashi is 12. They each were sent to the battlefield when they were seven. Even our youngest brother Kawarama was sent at seven, but, like most kids these days, he wouldn't make it to his eighth birthday.
It was at his funeral that the original passed out from 'sickness'. It was while he was recovering that I took over and became the new Itama Senju. But unlike the last Itama, I refused to die during the warring states period, I would see the founding of Konohagakure and would be an active member in its founding. My name will not be forgotten. I'll make sure of that.
As I thought about my future I flexed my hands to get used to the new strength I held. Getting the Senju body wasn't my only benefit, but before I could get the chance I heard rapid footsteps coming toward my room.
"Itama!" My eldest brother shouted as he busted the door open and jumped into me.
"No, wait Hashi!" my second brother said trying to stop him. But it was too late, he was already colliding into me.
"Oof" was all I was able to let out before the wind was taken from my lungs and ai was flung back onto my bed.
"Ah, I'm so glad you're ok. I was so worried." Hashi cried as he squeezed the life out of me.
I could only rub his back as he held me, mostly because I couldn't breathe enough to talk to him.
"Hiashi, get up! You're suffocating him!" Tobi chastised as he pulled Hashi off of me.
"Oh, no I didn't mean to hurt him" Hashi quietly said as he slowly made his way to the corner to brood.
"Are you ok, Itama? You know how that idiot is." Tobi asked me, ignoring our brooding brother.
"I'm fine, Tobi. Hashi didn't hurt me. Look, I'm fine." I patted my chest to show them I was ok.
Tobi nodded and was about to speak until we heard another pair of footsteps slowly approaching us. I immediately noticed the pattern of steps, they were ingrained in my body's memories. The innate feeling of dread caused my body to start shaking. Something that I really didn't like.
"It's ok Itama" Hashi consoled me as he patted my shoulder. I was slightly surprised since I hadn't heard him come back. Regardless I nodded and took a deep breath to calm myself. I would have to work these issues out soon. I wasn't a coward and even in the small parts of my last life I remember, none of them display me as a coward. Shaking because of fear wasn't something I wanted to continue happening.
After a few seconds the door to the room finally opened and my father, and patriarch of the Senju Clan, Butsuma walked in.
