Yeshua’s Second Alter Beast!

[Level 1 Modified Forest Orc genome sequence is completely reconstructed. User Yeshua only has to initiate a genome sequence evolution, so the AI can prepare all the necessary steps.]

For a second time, Yeshua would experience a sequence evolution. This was different from the sequence upgrades that only happened when an Alterer advanced to the next level.

A sequence upgrade was an improvement of the Alter Beast into a stronger form, but they would not transform into another existence. In the process, the soul of the Alterer would elevate to the next level.

However, genome sequence evolution only happened once to an Alterer and that was when they first forcefully evolved from a normal human into an Alterer. The power of the natural laws transformed their existence into another form.

Alterers were still humans but their existence was different from normal humans. They were spirit evolved creatures and could be considered as separate species from humans.

And so, only Yeshua would experience a second sequence evolution. He did not know what would happen to him, or what would be its effects on his body.

Usually, when an Alterer consumed another same-level genome potion, the second potion would be ineffective and a backlash would happen and cause injuries.

Despite the risk, Yeshua still decided to go through his second genome sequence evolution.

"I know that there will be a risk in what I will do, but this is my only way to leave this place. I just need to trust the capability of the AI to do what it promised it can do. Although this AI is annoying sometimes, it hasn't let me down yet… I don't know this time though," muttered Yeshua with apprehension in his voice.

Though some hesitation lingered in his mind, Yeshua firmed his will to the next challenge he had to face.

"AI, initiate the sequence evolution!" Yeshua affirmed with determination.

At this time, inside the mysterious shard in Yeshua's heart, two glowing double helixes were quietly floating beside the swirling chaotic genome sequence.

The first double helix glowed with blue radiance while the second double helix glittered with brown light. These were the genome sequences of Windrage Wolf and the modified Forest Orc.

Then, the AI did the same procedure it did during Yeshua's first sequence evolution. However, this time, it connected all microorganism-2 to the genome sequence of the modified Forest Orc.

Yeshua could feel pain filling every part of his body like there were currents of electricity torturing him. His body was reacting to the change brought by the connection of the genome sequence of the modified Forest Orc as the AI connected it to microorganism-2 in each of his cells.

Yeshua was already familiar with this pain, but he could not stop himself from groaning. Then, like he was expecting, the natural laws descended as it detected his evolution.

Yeshua could feel his body being injected with spirit particles. Then, they turned into spirit genes according to the genome sequence of the Forest Orc. And like what happened before, these spirit genes were assimilated with the microorganism-2 inside each of his cells.

Changes were already happening in Yeshua's body as the spirit genes transformed him. He could feel the same unbearable pain again while his body expanded and turned green.

Then suddenly, the natural laws stopped. Yeshua could feel the sudden halt of the injection of spirit genes into his body, and his heart lurched because of the unexpected development!

"W-what is this? Do the natural laws find out that I already underwent an evolution? AI, what is happening?" With panic in his voice, Yeshua asked the AI, but its reply dismayed him.

[To analyze what is happening, the AI needs to stop the process of genome sequence evolution. The AI is currently guiding the process. The AI cannot stop midway or the AI cannot ascertain the effect it will bring to User Yeshua.]

"So, you can't even multi-task while guiding my evolution? You analyzed that having multiple Alter Beasts is possible, so what is happening now?"

Indeed, it was true. The AI was still a limited program even in this world. It was not an omnipotent system where Yeshua could get everything he needed. The power of his soul was what limited the AI.

After realizing that, Yeshua calmed himself down. The pain and panic he was feeling made his mind disarray, so he concentrated his mind on what was happening to him.

Although the injection of spirit genes into his body stopped, Yeshua could still feel the natural laws around him.

Yeshua did not know if it was only his imagination but he could feel some hesitation in the natural laws. It was like it was deliberating about something. However, it was only a vague feeling, and he was not sure about it.

This unexpected halt of the power of nature was taking too long and Yeshua was left in a state where his evolution could not continue.

Yeshua's body was left in a horrendous form. The expanding body ballooned distortedly and the hardening skin and flesh were out of proportion.

One of Yeshua's arms was big and the other was crooked. His two feet were like rocks, hard and numb. His head and facial features were disfigured that he looked like a monster created by a mad scientist.

The imbalance of Yeshua's transformation caused excruciating pain that tormented him. However, he could not stop this process. He could only endure the pain and wait for what would happen next.

Amidst his pain, Yeshua could not stop himself and blurted, "Come on! What's taking you too long? Just decide if you will help me evolve or you will leave! I know that this body is cheating, but I didn't choose it! I just want to become strong! I don't want to die just because I'm weak! I want to honor my promise and walk the path that I have chosen!"

After the mad burst out of Yeshua, only his painful groans could be heard in the dark cave again. Yeshua just said all those things without thinking. He was not even considering if he was talking to anyone. He was just grumbling to ease his pain and concentrate his mind.

However, after a while, the power of nature moved again and continued Yeshua's sequence evolution!

"What! Don't tell me the power of nature understands me?" Although confused, Yeshua did not have the time to mull over it since what would happen next would be another painful trial.

And indeed, what happened next caused Yeshua to release painful screams as the spirit genes transformed his body.

Yeshua crouched on the ground while enduring the pain brought by the sequence evolution. He was releasing painful groans and hard breaths while tearing and cracking sounds were produced by his body.

At last, after enduring the painful evolution, Yeshua completely transformed into his second Alter Beast.

Yeshua slowly raised his body and stood on the ground with his two powerful legs. His bulky muscled body reached two and a half meters tall while his dark green skin was rough and hard as a rock. He could feel that his muscles and bones were filled with toughness and strength like a towering mountain.

Yeshua's dark brown hair curled and grew longer past his shoulders. The earth-colored hair on the side of his head braided and passed behind his pointy ears that were pierced with rock earrings.

A pair of long pointed fangs protruded from Yeshua's lower jaw, and although filled with ferociousness, a good-looking visage could still be perceived from his orc face.

Yeshua could feel the strength filling him, but he did not focus his mind on it as the sequence evolution was not done yet. He still needed to complete the last step which was taking control of the beast.

Yeshua then sensed the new genome sequence inside the mysterious shard. He could feel his strong connection to it the same as his connection to the Windrage Wolf's genome sequence.

Amidst his labored growls, Yeshua muttered with a gruff voice, "It's time to turn back into a human and own this Alter Beast!"

Yeshua gathered his will and deactivated the genome sequence of the modified Forest Orc. Maybe because he was already a Level 1 Stage 4 Alterer, Yeshua felt the difference in the difficulty of reigning on his beast.

Though he could still feel resistance, it was easier than what he remembered. The savageness influencing him was bearable and the power of his soul was smoothly pulling the beast inside its cage.

After quite some time, Yeshua succeeded in controlling his second Alter Beast and turned back into a human. At this moment, Yeshua truly gained his second Alter Beast!

"Haa… That was really exhilarating! Though I always feel this savage strength, it still filled me with ecstasy every time I transformed into my Alter Beasts. It's good that I'm not a newbie Alterer anymore and can reign on myself, but I shouldn't become complacent because of it. I should not forget everything I've learned from my bloody battles!"

Yeshua then sat down cross-legged on the ground. He needed to first recover his soul energy before he could test his new Alter Beast. After drinking a vial of blue liquid, Yeshua closed his eyes to rest and recovered his soul energy.

After a few hours, Yeshua felt that his soul was fully rested. It was time to test his new Alter Beast.

Yeshua then muttered while standing up, "I hope this Alter Beast's strength will be enough to destroy this rock wall…"

Then, using his soul power, Yeshua activated the genome sequence of the modified Forest Orc.

Yeshua's body was transforming while glowing dust swirled around his body shrouding it with a veil of light. He could feel the ferocious strength filling his body again. Painful but pleasurable groans could not help but escape from his throat.

Then after a while, Yeshua completely transformed into his second Alter Beast.

The green giant orc Yeshua was standing firmly on the rocky ground of the dark cave. Brown glittering dust continued to swirl around him as he clenched his big fists feeling his strength.

Yeshua closed his eyes while he instinctively learned the capabilities of his new Alter Beast. After some time, happiness and excitement filled his eyes when he opened them.

"This ability… So the AI can do this! With this ability and my strength, destroying this rock wall will be possible!" The hope of leaving the cave excited Yeshua.

"Alright, AI. Let's give this ability a name. Also, update the new name of my second Alter Beast! Let's call it…"

And so, the name of Yeshua's second Alter Beast reverberated in the silent dark cave.
