"Are you done acting on impulse?" Arjun asked after what seemed like an eternity. No amount of urging, no threatening, and no pleading worked on him. He just sat there like a sculpture without saying anything. His attitude had been clear. He did not want me to interrupt him. He expected me to shut up and listen.

I was just going to do that.

Because?

I had no other option. If Arjun got annoyed because of me, he would not think twice before leaving the house. This time no one would be able to find him, not that we could find him anyway. He was a master of disguise and skilled at vanishing. Even the shadows would pale in comparison with him.

"I will not interrupt you now. Continue," I said while sitting down on the bed. To make sure that I would not interrupt, I placed a pillow in my lap. I would just punch the poor pillow if I failed to control my emotions.
