A hurried footstep echoed in the hallways disturbing not only the hall but also the man's inner peace. Astrel could hear the person heading straight toward his personal study.
Barging the door open entered Falcon, panting hardly with sweats trickling down his forehead. Astrel lazily glanced at the butler with an annoying look.
"Forgive me, Master Astrel, but allow me to speak," asked the Falcon, breathily waiting for his master to permit him to speak and Astrel nodded his head to speak, "She- Ms. Frost is missing. She's not in her room," stuttered the butler, fear evident in his expression.
Astrel stopped twirling his pen and raised his eyebrows and sighed. "Why am I not surprised?" questioned Astrel and stopped twirling his pen, raising his eyebrows, and in a blink of an eye, the butler was left alone in the room.
He teleported to her room. The door was left open and so was the glassed door of the patio. He took a deep breath and sensed the air unusual. The power of magic. A frown came to settle on his eyebrows. It was one thing to see magic and sense magic.
The magic which he sensed wasn't something used usually. They were the type of magical powers used by the witches which once belonged to the creatures of the sea.
The mermaids were long captured by the witches in an attempt to get the advantage of them; powers like enchanting anything and everything with their beautiful voice, and invading people's minds which was a limited one in that.
Astrel followed his senses and came to stand in front of the door which was once locked by his very own father. It was the forbidden library, a place in the mansion that was restricted by his father long ago.
It was locked up with many spells, the only place witches could take hold to use their magic in his mansion but the question was, how did she get access to enter it?
"ASTREL!!! UNCLE FALCON!! HELP!!!" He heard the loud scream of Vilian and gritted his teeth. He tried to open the door but could not, "Shit!" cursed Astrel, hearing Vilian scream.
Placing one of his hands on the door and the other facing the door but in the air, he moved his hands, and blue light emitted from his hands, letting him teleport through the door. He saw her, scrunched into a ball on the floor, screaming and begging someone.
The place was looking just the way it usually did, but he knew there was more to it than it reached his eyes.
Vilian was trembling in fear. She didn't know what was happening. It was so confusing. The heat radiating from the floor did not stop but by the time passed it was increasing its temperature burning her from head to toe causing her to scream in agony.
"S-STOP IT! AHHHH!!!!"
Gone were the enchanting magical fairies, and the beautiful sight of the library turned into a creepy hall. She felt something stabbing behind her into her spine. Tears slipped from her eyes constantly. She felt hard breathing, as if it was getting sucking the air out of her body. She gripped the overcoat tightly pulling it and the dress started to rip from behind.
"How does it feel?" asked the same voice laughing hysterically. "I wanted to take you with me long ago, but that nosy night creature took you away from me. It would have never been this way but look what he has made me do to you. It's fine dear, just a little more and you'll be alright!" heard the voice speaking dearly as if it cared for her so much, but that wasn't all that she heard.
She heard someone calling out her name from a distance, someone very familiar, and then came to the view, Astrel, whom she waited for so long, so long that she lost hope of not being saved.
"Vilian! Vilian! Can you hear me?" Astrel moved forward trying to shake her off the nasty tricks played by the witches but she flinched away.
"Stay away from me," she shouted, flinching and crawling away from him, but Astrel frowned. He took hold of her waist and didn't let her move away. She wriggled to get away from him thinking that he was another trick just like the one earlier.
"You again?!" came the angry voice, and then the next moment Vilian flew and before she could hit the wall harshly by the greater force, she was thrown out of the room by Astrel but she didn't get hurt anymore.
Vilian winced feeling the pain all over her body.
"Looks like you've turned quite a coward witch." A chuckle escaped from Astrel's lips and he asked, "Fearing to show off yourself, aren't yah?"
"Don't think you've got away from me. I'll come for her again and especially for you, nosy bloodsucker," angrily warned the witch who didn't show herself and left immediately.
The library was back to its peaceful silence. Astrel was the least to flinch by the witch's warning.
He penetrated through the wall and came out to see the girl trying to support her body on the wall bearing the writhing pain.
Hearing footsteps approaching her, her eyes quickly snapped to see Astrel walking in her direction. There was a slight frown as she continued to stare at him.
"What did you do?" Vilian whispered.
"Didn't I warn you not to wander around?" Astrel questioned, staring at her. His eyes fell on the severe bruises on her face, hands and her feet. Her dress was ripped and torn, exposing some part of her skin.
He unbuttoned his shirt confusing Vilian but she didn't have the strength to question and gazed nowhere but his eyes.
Astrel took off his dark blue shirt and draped it over her and said, "You look terrible. Let us leave now."
Vilian whispered thanks and pushed her hands on the ground hissing with pain giving strength to her body before standing up. But her burned legs had turned weak so she had to use the support of the wall next to her.
Not soon after she placed two steps ahead her feet gave away. Astrel noticed Vilian's body wobble and took hold of her.
Clicking his tongue, he bent down and carried her in his arms effortlessly. "Please take me h-home..." came the voice of her, cracking in the end with little sobs.
She was trying hard not to cry but the dried teary face once again soaked with her newly formed tears. This was the second time he was seeing her cry in less than a week.
From the opposite direction Falcon came running, finally finding his master after running like a maniac all around the mansion during the time of dusk but stood stunned by his master's action watching him walk past him while carrying the women leaving the butler with a gobsmacked expression.
Walking away from the borders of the forbidden library he stopped and looked down at Vilian.
"Hold on to me tightly for a few minutes. I'll get you out of here." he instructed her.
Vilian didn't know what he meant by that but held him tightly as he carried her and suddenly felt the air suck out her making her feel nauseous. She shut her eyes and held him tight.
