"Wow..." Daniel's depressed tone expresses his feelings as he sits on top of his bed looking at the system interface.

"I mean, I know it was only one song, but this little progress still sucks!" Daniel sighs and pushes the system text out of his view. "Ignore the depressing stuff, let's get to business..." He stands up and gets a pen and paper. "Time to steal some songs..." And that's how Daniel's wonderful morning started. Plagiarism. Classic.
"I just recorded sunflower... a Hip-Hop/Dream Pop song." He says as he sits at a desk. "Should I do the same genre, or a completely different one... The only problem I have right now is my voice, which practically allows me to only sing high notes, not like I'm complaining, but right now it's narrowing the songs I can sing..."
Whilst muttering, Daniel started writing down different artists who's songs his can sing. "Wait." an idea comes to him after seeing all the names. "Why do I limit myself to singing only male artist songs? I can just take one from a female artist..." He scratches his head and writes a few female artist names on the paper. "It'll also be a nice experiment to see if the song would still be as impactful in this world with me singing it."
*Bzzz Bzzz*
His phone laying next to him on the table vibrates as a call comes in. "Yeah, Pah?" Daniel answers the call, focusing on the call rather than the paper.
"Just wanted to notify you that I handled all the legal procedures with your song." His father's voice sounds out from the phone.
"Oh..." Daniel smiles brightly at the words. "I completely forgot about that, Pah, thanks."
a Sigh gets heard by Daniel, causing his smile to widen, knowing that his father's sick of his finished with his shit.
"It's nothing. Listen, Daniel, are you thinking of releasing the song?" His dad asks.
"Of course! You think I recorded the song to change my ringtone?" Daniel asks in a mocking tone, the response came as a louder sigh. "Why are you asking, Pah?" He asks, dropping the joking tone.
"I'll see if I can contact some people." His father spoke before ending the call.
"Oh nice." Daniel puts down the phone. "But I have to think about the other procedures that need to be done with my next song." He mutters, looking at the name of a song he wrote down.
---
"Who were you talking to, Hun?" Mom asks while washing the dishes of the lunch they had.
Dad comes to her side and kisses her cheek. "Daniel." He spoke, moving to the table to take a seat.
Turning to face her husband, Mom raises an eyebrow. "What did the two of you speak about?" She asks, wiping her hands dry on a towel.
"Just the song. I asked him whe-" Dad stops as his phone began to rang mid sentence. "One second, Love." Standing up, he leaves the room, leaving Mom to herself.
"I'm happy they're getting along..." She mutters before going back to her dishes, still deep within thoughts about the beautiful song her son made yesterday. It's been stuck in her head ever since she heard it. "I just hope it isn't a one time thing..."
"Hey, Mah."
"Hey, sweetie." She replies unconsciously, deep in her own thoughts.
"..."
"Daniel?" She swings her head around, looking around the room, but after seeing her son isn't here, she chuckles before going back to her dishes.
---
"Okay, let's start." Daniel spoke to himself after entering the studio at his parents' house.
What? He doesn't have his own studio.
Sitting at the computer, he starts up the program and begins creating his next song. "Damn..." He cursed as he started. "I just realized that a lot of the songs I listened to are either sad or about bad love. Fuck Mary, that bitch."
Mary Clint. The woman he fell in love with in his previous world. Now you'd think that Daniel bagged the love with his decent looks and sweet personality, but that's exactly the reason why Mary rejected Daniel. Her thoughts of him was that he was a douche player. Which is very false, considering Daniel was and is still pure.
If he wanted to just hook up, he'd have accepted the confessions of many girls while he was in Highschool, but even then, he was dead set on finding a woman to start a family with.
That's not what frustrates Daniel so much, what frustrates him is the fact that for some reason, he just couldn't get over her.
"Tsk." Daniel clicks his tongue and pushes these thoughts away. "Song. Song." He mutters and puts all his attention into making the song to the best of his abilities.
---
"Thank you, John. I appreciate what you're doing." Dad says and ends the call. "Heh." He smirks. "Wait until that little shit hears this." He mutters, walking to the studio to prepare some things.
*Creak*
He opens the creaking door. "I wanna see the look on his face-"
"Hey, Pah." Daniel's voice stops his muttering.
---
"Ahhhh!"
"What the hell?" Mom tenses at the abrupt high pitched scream.
"Ahaha!"
Soon after, a burst of laughter follows. "What is he doing in the studio?" She asks, walking towards the source of laughter.
Peeking inside, she spots her husband chasing a laughing Daniel around the studio.
"Hahah! You got a voice on you, Pah!" Daniel speaks in between laughter as he evades his father's pathetic attempts in grabbing him.
"Shut it!" Dad clenched his teeth. a Prominent blush on his face. "What are you doing in my house?!" He asks, still chasing Daniel. He will have revenge.
"Oh... I wanted to start with my next song." Daniel responds before his attention gets grabbed by the head of his mother peeking inside the office. "Chance..." He mutters, running straight to her.
The change of direction caught Dad by surprise as he stops and freezes at the sight of his son hiding behind his wife.
"What are you two up to?" Mom asks, folding her arms.
"Uhh... We were..." Dad stutters, his eyes drifting from left to right, looking for any excuse, which he found in the form of an open computer. "We were just about to start Daniel's new song. Isn't that right... Daniel?" Dad says, a threatening tone at his son's name.
Seeing his father's death stare, Daniel had no choice but to compromise, lest he 'seeks death'. "Uh-huh." He nods at his father's excuse. "Wanna listen, Mah? I'm just going to create the beat quick then start recording." He asks his mother.
"No, I'll listen to the complete version, sweetie." Mom responds with a smile and hugs her son. "I'm so glad that you started singing." She mutters before walking out, closing the door behind her.
...
"I got you the opening act at a concert in two days." Dad suddenly speaks, seeing his son frown.
"What?!"
