Chapter 18

Dani got home from work and went straight to her room, avoiding Tony and crying into her pillow.

Kenji walked into work angry, slamming his phone down on his desk and ripping the drawer open. Everything in the drawer clattered to the floor making Hernan’s head snap up.

“Fuck!” Kenji dropped the drawer into the pile of stuff on the floor.

“Bro, what the hell is going on with you?” Hernan asked from his own desk.

“Amelia.” Kenji answered with his hands covering his face.

“Ken, what do you mean?” Kenji huffed, sitting down at his desk that was now a mess.

“I saw Amelia at the mall, she asked to catch up so we sat in the food court by that pizza place and she tried to like hold my hand and shit.” Kenji sighed.

“You mean the mall Dani at, in front of the pizza place that Dani works the register of?!” Hernan asks while reading a text from Tony about how Dani came home crying.

“Shit! I forgot!” Kenji slammed his head down on his desk.
