Chapter 19

“I’ll pick you up after work, baby.” Kenji said to his girlfriend who was getting out of the car.

“Okay, I’ll see you later, ink.” Dani waved before walking into work.

Kenji watched to make sure she got safely inside before pulling out of the mall parking lot and heading to his own job.

He thought about the blonde girl all day at work, impatiently waiting for his own work to end so that he could go pick her up.

When he finally got to leave to get Dani, he quickly gathered his keys and cellphone and rushed to his car.

“How was work?” Kenji asked as Dani got into his car.

“It was boring without you.” Dani admitted.

“You gonna sleep over tonight?” Kenji asked, his hand reaching for hers.

“If you’re busy, I don’t have to.” She whispered.

“Busy with what? I’m only busy loving you, blondie.” Kenji chuckled.

“Corny.” Dani laughed. “But yes, I am sleeping over tonight.” She played with his hand while he drove.

“You love it.” Kenji laughed in response.
