Dazzling Eyes

"Order whatever you like, it's on us haha" William said to the three girls across from them as they looked over the menu.

'On us? Who's us?' Alan gave an annoyed and confused look towards William but quickly looked back on the menu as he didn't want to make the atmosphere awkward.

William did notice Alan's gaze and replied with a wink, earning a small chuckle from Oliver who hid it by covering his face with the menu.

The girls were chatting among themselves, trying to decide what to order so they didn't notice the guys' antics.

'What to order…' Alan looked over his menu, wondering what kind of meat he should cook. He wasn't the biggest fan of these kind of restaurants because he'd rather have the food already cooked and ready.

Oliver and William started to chat with the girls, William talked to Ava as they sat across from each other while Oliver spoke to Alice as they were opposite each other.

Only Alan and Charlotte was left but Alan was completely ignorant about that fact as his brain went into ultra focus mode on the menu, trying to decide what he wanted to eat.

"Hahaha"

"Hehehe"

Laughter and chuckles could be heard on Alan's right but he paid no mind 'Should I get that? No…it's a bit expensive…if I really have to help pay, I should minimise the damage to my wallet…'

Though Alan didn't care nor paid any mind to it, Charlotte was different and found it very weird. Her friends were chatting away at the other two handsome guys while the guy opposite her was completely engrossed in his menu.

'Damn, not only did I get the least good looking guy out of the bunch but he isn't even trying to talk!' Charlotte was feeling quite disappointed and her first impression of Alan wasn't good.

After a minute of silence between the two, Charlotte decided to make the first move "U-Um hey, your name is Alan right?" It was clear to her that Alan was not going to start the conversation.

Her words snapped Alan out of his concentration 'Oh shit!' Alan noticed that he hadn't said a single word to Charlotte and that the others were already chatting and laughing.

He quickly put down his menu and looked over at Charlotte with a deep apologetic gaze that surprised her.

Before, it was quite dark outside so she didn't get a good look at Alan's features and when they entered the restaurant his head was mainly down and then he had a menu covering his face.

So when he looked up and lowered the menu, she saw his deep and dazzling blue eyes that made her lose focus in everything else but those eyes.

'They are so beautiful…' She was lost for words and thought but snapped out of it when Alan said "Sorry about that, I was trying to pick my dish haha. Yes, my name is Alan, how was your day Charlotte?"

"Uh-Uh, yea it was good, we just…" Charlotte quickly restored her composure as she talked to Alan but unlike before she was attentive towards him as she found that he wasn't as bad looking as she originally thought. After seeing his eyes, she felt that all his other features stood out more, making her feel that Alan was the centre of the world.

After Alan started to speak, the two also began to have their moments of laughing and giggling just like the rest. Charlotte felt really happy that Alan was able to hold a conversation with her and her impression of him changed completely.

Eventually, their orders came and they all started to cook their meat.

*Sizzle*

The smell of meat filled their room and every one there wanted to drool and devour their food but patiently held off as they waited for it to cook.

"So Alan, what are you going to study for college?"

"Medicine, I want to be a doctor in the future, what about you?" Alan answered as he turned his meat

"I don't know yet, I'll just see where life takes me haha…"

The two continued their conversation until the food finished cooking.

Once it did, the group seemed to have merged and they all talked to each other at different points while eating.

One point William would take to Alice and then talk with Alan and the rest of guys and girls did the same, alternating between each other.

"Hey, lemme try that!" William got a fork and stole a piece of Alan's meat which Alan did the same.

The guys started to pass around their different meat orders so they could all try it while the girls went to the bathroom all at the same time.

"So so, what you guys think of the girls?" William asked excitedly.

Oliver smiled " They are fun to talk to. Alice is quite polite and definitely not as rowdy as you haha"

"Tch, I know you love me still hmph! What about you Alan? How's Charlotte?"

Alan took a bite of his food "hmm, she's fine." Was all he answered.

"…"

"…"

Oliver and William sighed "That's it?" The two said in unison.

"It's only been an hour or so, I haven't know her long enough to feel anything guys." Alan explained himself as he noticed the two's disapproval look.

"I think Charlotte might have a different opinion hehe" William teased with a smirk.

Alan didn't follow but decided to amuse his friend "What you mean?"

"She was totally captivated by your eyes dude! Told you, they are your killer weapons!" William teased with a mischievous smile.

Alan did not know how to respond but Oliver came to the rescue "How about you Will? How you find Ava?"

"Oh! She is amazing! She is quirky and fun, she also has a hot body!"

William started to compliment Ava to no end, giving Alan some breathing room to eat his food.

The three guys continued to joke around while waiting for the girls.

"We're back!"
