Running Late

*Ding dong*

"Now arriving at…"

A train announcement sounded inside the train to notify them of their stop. Some of the passengers started collecting their belongings, ready to leave once the door opens while some continued to fidget with their phone or sleep.

Alan and his company William and Oliver were part of the former group.

`We nearly here…" Alan thought as he looked over at his friends.

"This is gonna be so fun!" William said with brimming positivity as they left the train.

As they were exiting the train station, Alan wanted to ask Oliver something "Hey Ollie, I'll be honest, I'd guessed you would be the last person to join in this group date. Will force you as well?"

A mid length red haired teenager turned around to face Alan, he perked up his glasses slightly "Ahaha, well I can't always stay heartbroken Alan. I asked him to let me take part." He answered with a much more calmer and deeper tone compared to William, who gave such a vibrant and excited energy.

If Alan didn't know him, he would have guessed Oliver was some kind of young multi millionaire CEO with his calming and mature look.

If William gave off the a young charming prince look than Oliver gave a seductive hot older boss look making Alan wonder how he came across such people with his nature.

'Ah…these two can really break others' confidence ha..' Alan sighed at the unfair world.

For the evening, all he wore were some dark blue jeans, a black plain top with a black jacket while the other two were clearly more fashionable.

"So how far we gotta go from here?" Alan asked as his checked his messages.

"It's about a ten or so minute walk, follow me!" William answered and led the way for the two.

Ten minutes quickly passed as the guys chatted about their day…

"Man, Mr Peter is too strict! I had to beg him to give me my detention tomorrow" William complained as he explained to Oliver how he managed to make it tonight.

"Quite a close one, how could you forget?" Oliver chuckled at his friend's near demise.

"I just forgot man! His classes are always so boring and he goes on stupid rants about his duller life like we give a shit." William continued his complaints.

"You know what's even worse Oliver?"

"What?"

William pointed straight at Alan with an annoyed look "This guy here just left me to suffer! He wouldn't let me copy his work! Isn't that so selfish Oliver!?" William ranted about Alan's cold heartedness when he needed his help the most.

Alan gave a 'serves you right' expression towards William while Oliver burst out laughing "Good job, Alan. Serves him right, he did force you to come here, this the least you could do haha"

William was shocked, he couldn't believe Oliver was on the devil Alan's side "Hmph! I see how it is!" He crossed his arms and looked away from the two as if he was angry.

Oliver and Alan just laughed at their friend's act as they arrived at the Korean BBQ place William talked about before.

The girls weren't around yet or at least William didn't show any signs they were. Alan had no idea what they looked like so he could only stand around until the other two reacted in some way.

Five minutes passed…

Ten minutes passed…

Alan checked his watch

[5:35]

'Hm…okay, maybe trains were held up or something'

Another five minutes passed…

Some more time passed…

Alan checked his watch again

[5:45]

"Will…"

William jumped in surprise by Alan as he could tell his friend was getting furious "ahaha, something might have happened, lemme call Ava." He quickly got out his phone and started ringing a number.

Soon after William started talking on the phone.

"Hey, where are you guys?"

After a few seconds of silence "Oh okay, yea no problem. You're nearly here yea?"

"Nice, hm? No no it's fine, we'll wait outside. It's not that cold, you can warm me up later~"

'Not that cold? Are you fucking kidding me!' Alan gave a deadly glare towards William's direction, wanting to strangle the guy.

William ignored Alan's glare and continued to wrap up his conversation on the phone.

After he hung up, William explained the situation to Alan and Oliver "Okay, they lost track of time doing their makeup, they are nearly here. We did not get stood up!" He gave a thumbs up at the end.

"Real smooth William, you can warm me up later~ Wow" Oliver teased.

"Haha, take notes Alan, if you use a fraction of my lines you'd have a girl by now!" William said while looking towards Alan, who just rolled his eyes.

"Hey!" A feminine voice sounded in the distance, grabbing the guys attention.

"Ava!" William was the first to react as he walked over towards a medium length black hair girl with shorts and fish netting on her legs.

The two hugged "I'm so sorry for being late" She apologised as she beckoned her friends to come over.

'So…it starts now.' Alan buried his nerves inside as he walked over with Oliver to greet the girls.

'Hm, she has quite a bit of makeup…' Alan checked out Ava and could see her makeup wasn't light but wasn't heavy but he couldn't deny that she was attractive.

"Hi"

"Hello"

Two other girls walked towards them and greeted the three

"Hey"

Oliver and Alan replied at the same time with the exact same hand gesture, the two quickly looked at each other wanting to chuckle but held it back.

One girl had long black hair with a black dress with very smooth skin and Alan could tell she was definitely a foreigner while the other girl had curly brown hair as she gave a gentle smile to the guys.

"So, this is Alan and Oliver." William quickly introduced them to the girls and pointed at them when he mentioned their names.

Ava did the same and pointed towards the brown haired girl "This is Charlotte" and then pointed at the black haired girl "This is Alice."

After a short introduction, the two groups walked towards the BBQ restaurant, ready to start their group date.
