George POV

I must say that am surprised when I saw Claire Davidson but what shocked me is that she hugged me, I thought the girl is not interested in me cause since we exchange contacts the last time she was here. She did not call me and I did not call her either so her hugging me now is a shock to me.

Wow am not expecting to see you here I told her why trying to sound pleasant, I know you are not expecting to see me but your mother invited me and I can't say no to that and also I want to discuss something with you she told me. Okay what you want to discuss with me is it going to happen here or should we step outside I asked her, outside please she answered.

I stepped out with Claire to know what she want to discuss with me. Okay we are outside here what do you want to discuss with me I asked her immediately we are outside. Jezz chill you sound like someone who is in a hurry she said while smiling sweetly.

I really don't know what gotten into Claire she is acting this way towards me but am not ready to entertain her cause I really want to go to Sarah cause I have something I want to understand. I was giving her my bored look am sure by now she must have noticed how impatient I am.

I can sense you don't want to stand here too long so I will go straight to the point I know the first time we met I didn't pay you much attention and we exchange contacts yet I did not try to call you and you also did not try to contact me but that's in the past. Am now ready to build a relationship with you cause I know that's what your mother want that's why she invited me over that day we met.

God! What exactly is this girl talking about? What does she mean by build a relationship? This is not happening definitely not now I want to focus on what exactly am feeling for Sarah and here is Claire with her problem.

Why the sudden interest Claire? I asked, hmm actually that day we met am dating someone that's why I did not pay attention to you or showed any interest and it turned out that the bastard was cheating on me so we broke up she explained. So am kind of rebound or let me say second choice I said to her while giving her that am not happy with what am hearing look.

The issue is that my parents are on my neck to get married and you happened to be their favorite option considering you just won a competition worth millions of dollars she said giving me that shitty smile. This girl is now annoying me the worst part is that she is not here because she like me but she is here because her parents are pressuring her what am I to her a robot that have no feelings at all. 

I won't blame her the only person am going to blame here is my mother because she is the root of all this if she did not try to be a match maker Claire will not have the gut to utter this rubbish. Claire I don't think this relationship will be possible I answered her, why? She asked. It's obvious that you are not here because you like me rather you are here because you are been pressured by your parents and I don't want such relationship I want someone that love me and I love her back I finished with my sermon.

It doesn't matter George we can learn to tolerate and love each other as the day goes by, its not like am asking you to marry me let's just date for the time being and see what will come out of it she proposed. I know what she suggested sound easy to her but it's not easy to me cause there is Sarah though am not sure of what is going on between the two of us or let me say what is going on with me. But whatever it is I want to explore it and see where it will lead me though I want to do it discreetly cause I don't want to be mocked by anybody for having something for my assistant again.

Listen Claire as easy as this may sound to you it is not easy for me to go into a relationship just for the sake of being in a relationship I tried to reason with her. George do you have someone you are dating? Perhaps that's the reason you turned me down she questioned. No there is no one okay just that I want a relationship for the sake of love not the other way round I thought that will shut her up but am in for a surprise by the next thing she uttered. I don't care if you have someone you are dating you seemed to be my kind of man,the faithful one and I will make sure you are mine she said more like threatened.

Listen here Claire am not a pushover if I say no that means no and I don't want you hovering around me all in the name of trying to make me like you. I don't like you and I don't want to hate you so please don't make me hate you I told her more like I threatened her as well.

I stormed inside the only thing on my mind is to confront my mother cause I think is high time she stop trying to get me involved with any of her friends daughter all in the name of looking for the perfect wife for me. Last time I checked am capable of finding my own wife. I saw my mother chatting and laughing with Rose I approached her clearly having my am not please with you look on my face. Mom can we talk I requested, here? Right now? My mother questioned

Yes right now but not here let's talk privately I suggested, okay that's OK by me, Rose please excuse us for some minutes my son here want to talk to me she addressed Rose. That's okay Mrs Vincent Rose assured her. We got to my mother's room, Okay what is it you want to talk about? my mother asked.
