"She is as mean as Marissa!" Valerie remarked when she saw Sophia leaving along with Joseph, "She must be over the moon after becoming a wh*ore of the best friend of the President of MSin."
Nina sighed at the absurd statement, "Don't be ridiculous, Val. As a gynecologist, she has more worth, love. Now relax and sit down."
Valerie was having difficulty controlling her fury. She settled beside Nina and tightened the shawl around her, "What did she mean, I don't want to miss the party. Is there a late-night surprise planned?"
Instead of answering, Nina just shrugged nonchalantly. Tonight, she didn't want to feel bad about anything. Her son had told her that he would talk to her after the event. She wanted to know if it would be right after the party or tomorrow.
However, the way Dr. Sophia subtly hinted, she had an uncomfortable feeling. Like an intuition. As if something was about to happen.
Something bad!
