Alpha Natalie's POV
Not missing a moment, I analyze every one of his reactions.
He loses equilibrium instantly, as he leans back on the wall for support. For long minutes, he remains mute, as he processes what I just said, and I also obey his choice, keeping mute and not discomforting him further.
"I'm sorry you had to find out this way, I never meant to reveal it to you in such an ill manner." I say calmly.
"How did you know about that?" He finds his voice after a while.
"I saw it in the black box your late papa, Cain, kept all of your late mama's belongings for your sake." I point at the box.
"He didn't show me all these years, even after my eighteenth birthday, perhaps it's not relevant, and such he kept it away from me..."
"You know that's not true, Hendrix." I scoff, shocked at how easily withdrawn he has become.
