U.A.

"Can I help you sir?" A receptionist asks. Across from her a skeleton of a man with yellow hair greets her. He's wearing a black and yellow striped suit and coughing up blood.

"Hello, my name is Toshinori Yagi. I'm a trainer at Might Tower in Tokyo, I'm looking for a young man that was seen on the news a couple of days ago. He had tattoos and looked a bit off-putting. I was hoping to speak with the director to ascertain his location." The man said as he passed a business card to her. Yagi hated reaching out to the media but he's tried all his other avenues and turned up nothing. He even tried to ask Tsukauchi if he'd ever seen him, but his friend clammed up at the mere image of him. Yagi wonders if that means the young man is well connected.

The receptionist brightened up at the mention of Might Tower, reporters kill for interviews with people from All Mights agency. She hurriedly called her boss and she gave the okay to send him up, "Just take the elevator to the top floor, the Director says to come right in."

Yagi nods and does as she says. When he steps out of the elevator he's greeted by a brown haired woman who looks incredibly excited, "Hello I'm the Editor-in-Chief of Juzo News, Kinoshita Sayaka."

"Toshinori Yagi." He's says in greeting, shaking her hand.

"It's such a pleasure to see someone from Might Tower, the readers never get enough of stories about the agency." The editor said with a smile.

Yagi laughs and says, "Yes I imagine being able to print anything with All Mights name in it would sell fairly well."

The editor chuckles as well and hands him a cup of water when she sees him cough.

"So you want to find the mystery vigilante?" At his nod she continues, "May I ask why, I'm curious why such a large agency such as yourselves would involve yourself with someone who broke the law?"

Yagi knew she was fishing for information, and lucky for her, he's desperate for any lead he can get, "Yes, we at Might Tower have expressed a great interest in wanting to train and reform him, not unlike the Vigilante Reform Act. We've deduced that since we haven't seen his quirk pop up in any schools records, he likely hasn't entered high school yet. We want to give him a chance to turn into a great hero with as many facilities and trainers that he could want. On the off-chance that he's older than we believe, we will help him get whatever education he's missing and have him take the Hero Licensing Exam."

The editors eyebrows shot up in astonishment as she said, "That's quite a lot of investment into somebody you don't even know."

Yagi gives her a wry smile, "We believe that the quality of his character is very good, as shown by his actions a couple of days ago. There's also the power of his quirk to take into account."

The editor nods along and chuckles to herself, "I'm afraid your going to be disappointed."

Yagi raises an eyebrow in question and she continues, "We have been searching for any info we can get in this person. The police won't tell us anything, which doesn't surprise me. The real kicker is that there's no arrest records. Usually when someone commits vigilantism, there's at least an arrest report that states he was brought in for questioning."

That took Yagi by surprise, "What does that mean?"

She looked up in thought, "Well, he either still in the wind, which if he's as young as you said he is, is impossible. People don't realize that the police have made great strides to keep up with quirks."

Yagi nodded already considered that.

"He could be incredibly well connected. That'd jam up anyone trying to make a case. She continued, her face screwing up in confusion, "But to not even have an arrest report? To be that well connected at his age, he'd have to be the son of some important politician or something."

The editor finished saying, "The only other option I'd think of, would have to be if he already has his license, which, again is unlikely."

Yagi sighed at having not gained anything from the meeting and bade the woman farewell. He'd just have to hope he'd see him somewhere else. He is running out of time to find his successor, maybe he'll see him at the entrance exams.

10 months later

Izuku stood before a magnificent U.A. High school. A sea of people blocked his way as everyone wanted to sign up for the exam. Whenever one caught his eye they hurriedly looked away in fright. Izuku sighed and made his way to the building. Just as he took one step past the gates, his foot caught on seemingly nothing, and he tumbled forward. He closed his eyes bracing for impact when he noticed he'd stopped falling.

Izuku opened his eyes and noticed he was floating, he wiggled in the air before he was upright and heard, "Release!" before dropping on the ground. He turned around to see a pretty brown haired girl huffing a bit, "Sorry about using my quirk on you, I-"

Izuku knew she was still talking but couldn't hear anything she had said. His attention was immediately drawn to the blond spiky hair behind her that still haunts his nightmares. Bakugo Katsuki was walking less than twenty feet away from him. A part of Izuku wanted to flee at the mere sight of him, but another part wanted to attack him on sight. He ended up just watching him walk by, hidden by a wall of other people. Izuku's attention finally returned to the brown haired girl once Bakugo was out of sight.

-Anyway, good luck on your exams." She said with a bright smile and hurried to the school building. Izuku blinked in shock as he realized that this was the first girl his age to not run away from him in years. A bright smile appeared on his face as he made his way to the testing area thinking, 'I just talked to a girl!'

An hour later Izuku left the written exams feeling confident, he'd already tested out of high school online so this was nothing to difficult. He took a deep breath and sat down against a brick wall, when a guy with red spiky hair and sharp teeth stopped in front of him.

He had a wide grin as he wildly gestured at him, "Man, look at all your tattoos! So manly! Are those real?"

Izuku nodded and said, "Yea, I need 'em for my quirk."

The guy goes crazy at that and says, "Dude , what's you number, we have to hangout. You might just be the manliest person I know! Even your quirk is manly, not to mention flashy. All my quirk does is harden my skin."

He then demonstrates by turning his arm into stone, Izuku's eyes brighten a tad at the mention of such a useful quirk, "Obviously a hardening quirk of some kind, looks to be rock based. Possible to turn into different rocks? Maybe diamonds? If so makes it a million times more useful. Can he spread it to whole body? Most likely since he mentioned his entire skin. Could he grow rocks then? Possibly have them stab into ground from feet to anchor him? Maybe even use as a projectile if possible?"

The red haired teen watches this with wide eyes as this manly guy breaks down his quirk like a professional. All of these new applications to his quirk that he hadn't even thought of makes him feel kind of useless for not thinking of them. He says in a low voice, "Do you really think my quirk is that good?"

Izuku nodded calmly saying, "When I think of a hero, I think of a shield to protect people. Your quite literally the ultimate shield. All you have to do is stand in between civilians and villians."

The guy nodded and soaked up his knowledge like a sponge. Izuku checks his watch and notices that the assembly to explain the second test is about to start and says, "Look I got to run, it was nice meeting you…?"

"Oh! Kirishima Eijiro." Kirishima says with a bow.

Izuku nods and made his way to the auditorium while saying, "Midoriya Izuku, good luck on the exam Kirishima!"

Kirishima nods blankly, meeting that guy was like being apart of a fever dream. He gathers his things before coming to a realization, "Damn it! I didn't get his number!"
