Chapter 46: The upcoming sports festival

The news of the Isengard Penitentiary massacre went widely throughout Japan. It is estimated that 15,000 prisoners and 500 guards were killed, and the grisly sights of the devastated prisons have caused some media hysteria. Only two convicts were reported missing at the scene, prompting further controversy and a thorough inquiry by the police department.

Inko watched all of this from the comfort of her own home, feeling concerned of how many lives were taken from the prison.

" S-so many died. There families must be devastated to know that there love one's got murdered like that.... I kinda feel bad for them...."

" Hmm.... "

Catnap, who was embraced by Inko's arms, couldn't care less as he ate a few nachos that were put aside side from the couch. Usagi also joined them, although she was on the opposite side of the couch.

Inko did try to pass her some nachos she bought from the store but she refused.

" Are you sure dear? I thought you would like them? "

" Sorry Inko but I'm not really feeling that hungry "

" I see well then there still some more on the cupboards if you ever want some "

Inko said this while placing the bag of nachos on the front table. To be honest, Usagi does really wanted one, but there was one someone that kept her from picking up even one nacho. Catnap.

He was eating them while watching the news. Simply watching him pick up some nachos made her eye twitch in annoyance so she just avoided them. Being only a few feet away from Catnap's location.

While the three watch the news, Izuku and Dogday prepare some japanese snacks that goes allong well with the nachos. Taking a few coke's from the fridge, the two walk out from the kitchen with the snacks in hand

" It's done! "

" Finally I'm starving! "

" Hmm wait didn't you said your not hungry? "

" I said I'm not feeling hungry. Learn how to read the lines jackass "

" What did you just call me? "

Catnap said. Annoyed by her words. Usagi just stick her tongue at Catnap before turning to Izuku for the extra snacks.

" Give me give me! "

" Usagi. That isn't a nice thing to say "

" Yeah I know. So give me the stuff! "

" Not until you apologize to Catnap "

" Pfft! okay what do I look like a child? You know that's not gonna happen "

" Just give her the snacks. She won't apologize to him anyway even if you don't give her one "

Dogday said. Suggesting Izuku to just give her one. Izuku almost didn't give Usagi a snack if he didn't remembered about the deal he and Usagi made, so Izuku just relunctantly gave her one. Causing Catnap to feel betrayed by Izuku's action.

" Wait y-your giving her a snack!? "

" Sorry Catnap but Dogday did said to give her one regardless "

" DOGDAY!!? "

" What!? You know her! She's stubborn as a rock so obviously she's still going to be rude to you regardless "

" I thought the two of you are on my side! "

" Bitch no one is on your side "

Usagi spoke while picking a few chocolate-dipped bamboo shoots from the bowl. Catnap felt betrayed by Dogday and Izuku, so he chose to find comfort in Inko's embrace. Inko felt bad for Catnap and considered talking to Usagi when their TV night was over.

Despite the difficult start, the five manage still manage enjoy their night. Slowly putting aside Usagi's rude behavior and finding content in by just spending the night together.

UA manage to settle down as the students were finally allowed to go back to there own class. Class 1-A were all busy talking and laughing about there appearance in the U.S.J incident. Grabbing there phone's and showing off the pictures they took from the new's.

This went on for a while until Aizawa arrived.

Showing up to class with bandage's that covered his entire face.

" Yawn.... Good morning class.... "

" Hehe yeah an-HOLY SHIT!! AIZAWA-SENSIE WHAT HAPPENED TO YOUR FACE!!! "

" Oh my gosh! D-did your face got amputated. I-I didn't know yo- "

" Yeah yeah could all please shut up. I'm fine,

My injuries aren't that bad. What's more important right now is to get prepared for the upcoming UA sports festival "

" Wait festival!! YES!! Finally some regular highschool activity!! "

Kirishima shouted. Raising his fist to the air to show off his excitement. Most of the class joined his attitude, Causing the entire class to shout in enthusiasm that almost burst Aizawa's ear drums.

Aizawa's stared coldly at his class. His eyes glowed burning red as he used his quirk to shut up. There quirks got cancelled as the students noticed and saw Aizawa's terrifying eyes. They immidiately sat down shut up. Not meeting Aizawa's irritated gaze.

Momo on the other hand raise her hand to speak, in which Aizawa allowed as she stood up and ask him " Um excuse me Aizawa-sensie but shouldn't the festival be cancelled. I heard from the new's that the ringleaders that cause the U.S.J incident escaped from isengard penitentiary prison. So should we be a little concern if another incident occur? "

" You worry to much. The sports festival is way too important to be cancelled from just a simple incident. Everyone in japan will all be watching and it's a major opportunity for UA students to get scouted by professional heroe's "

" Todoroki's right. Besides principal Nezo has tighten the security system so that no civilian's and students would get hurt. Alongside with other professional heroe's watching the event I doubt any villain would be stupid enough to cause a ruckus. As for the date of the festival, I'll inform you by the end of the day once we teachers decide on when the festival start's "

Aizawa said nonchalantly as he pick's up a chalk to start the lesson for the day. The students calm themselves down so they can focus on the lesson. Pulling there notebook's from there bags, to take down some notes on what's written on the board.

Usagi who sits on top of Izuku's desk was confused by the class excitement as she ask Izuku " Hey, ugh what's a sports festival? "

" Hmm? Oh uh it's like a gathering of people where they compete in a series of sports to win a trophie "

" Wait win a trophie!! Like medals and stuff!? "

Usagi ask, her voice filled with hidden shock and excitement. She hasn't compete'd anything like a sports festival other than the physical test that the daycare programmed when she was just a human child stuck in Playcare.

Though she would rathar forget her past, there are a few things in that facility that did made her excited for once.

Izuku saw Usagi's shining eyes as she move a bit further to Izuku and ask him " So what are trophie's like. Do you hand out trophie's, medal's or something else, is it made out of gold, silver or just painted gold and silver? "

" Um I don't know. I did remember last Sports festival that they hand out a platinum medal to the winner. Though I didn't remember who exactly wo- "

" POKE! "

" AGH!! "

" Midoria be quiet, I could hear you all the way from here. "

" S-sorry sensie.... Usagi could we have this conversation later "

" Sure but you gotta tell me more about this sport festival stuff "

" I promise "

Izuku whisper, feeling a bit greatful that Usagi agreed. he rubs the numb of the pain and a few chalk mark's that left to he's forehead after going back to he's notes. It did come to a surprise for Izuku that Usagi shown interest in the sports festival after there talk about her past.

She did explained that she, Catnap and Dogday came from a cruel toy company that kidnap's and manipulate children in order to experiment on them to be the company's popular toy brand's.

At first Izuku wouldn't want to believe in it. How can a company be so cruel to use children in order to sell toys. It just made him feel sick to he's stomach.

After listening to Usagi more about her experience at the facility and how she describe's it. It did made him feel bad for what he's friends had been through.

Though it was a depressing conversation it did gave him some insights on where he gets his friends. He knows that playtime co didn't exist in japan. Heck there wasn't even a slightest trace of it on the internet so he thought of two theories.

Either that playtime co. Is a forgotten company that no one was able to record it's existence or simply playtime co is somewhere far away from this world.

He was considering the second theory after the experience he gets when using his quirk.

It's complicated for Izuku to comprehend in one night so he decided to wrote down his thoughts and theories of every possibility in his head for future reference. The more he use and interact with he's quirk. The more concerned he felt.

It has layers, feeling's, and even a few mysteries that he couldn't understand.... As if it has its own thoughts of it's own.

For now Izuku decided to just put the question of he's quirk aside and focus more of his hero studies. Maybe he'll have enough time to digest everything he's learning so far and probably have a good understanding of the nature of he's quirk better.

Time flie's quickly in class 1-A. As the lessons were short and easy to digest for those who were paying attention in class.

Soon the lunch bell rang as the students who were waiting for the next teacher finally got up from there sit's and leave the class to go to the cafeteria.

Most of the class were pumped up for the upcoming sports festival as even Uraraka showed her excitement to rest of the class. Shouting that she'll do her best. Afterwards she walk up to Izuku and Tenya to join them for lunch.

Izuku opened his bag a bit to let Catnap and Dogday to have some fresh air while he walks with his friends. The UA sports festival is coming soon as Izuku couldn't help but to be a little nervous about the upcoming events.

He has taken note of everyone's abilities. There strength's and even weaknesses. Gripping his backpack tight as he couldn't wait to go home and review all of he's analysis, memorizing every detail of the advantages he could over he's class in order to win the event.
