Chapter 62: Provisional Exam (2)

Inside the observation room, Mera was watching the monitors to find Saiba in it. But even after looking at all the monitors showcasing the videos of the students waiting for the start of the exam, he couldn't find Saiba at all.

Eyeing at the man standing next to him, Mera said "Hey, go and see if there are any students missing."

"What?" The man was confused at the order.

Sighing, Mera said again "I can only count up to 1539 students. Check out if anyone is missing."

"Yes Sir!" Saying that the man went out of the room to enquire about that.

Mera focused back on the monitors and again looked for Saiba while thinking 'I'm supposed to keep an eye on him for this exam, but he's not even appearing anywhere. He's not even with his classmates... That's right'

Finding the video of U.A. students, Mera watched it and he saw Saiba receiving the balls and the three targets. He also saw Saiba placing them all on his chest like a triangle, then he saw Saiba slowly moving to the back of his group and just simply disappeared. He also saw four other boys moving away from the U.A. the group at the same time as Saiba disappeared.

Seeing all that. Mera sighed 'No one told me he could camouflage. This is going to take some time.'

Sighing again, he picked up the mic and announced "There's still a stalemate in all quarters. No one has passed----"

He had to stop continuing as the monitor showed that two students had been eliminated within a minute of the start of the exam.

He rubbed his eyes to make sure that it was not playing any tricks on him, and still looking at the monitor, Mera announced "Two examinees have been eliminated and an examinee have passed the test."

After placing the mic down, Mera asked another man standing next to him "Who passed the test this early?"

"One minute sir." Saying that he asked through his comms, after getting the answer from the security at the resting area, he told Mera "It's a Student from U.A with white and gold costume."

Hearing that, Mera was surprised. 'This is a drag.....'

Shaking his head, Mera announced again "Only one person has passed at this moment. When we get any reports, I will announce them all from this broadcasting area."

Sighing tiredly, Mera thought 'I have to oversee this exam and also have to keep an eye out for that kid. But he's not making it easy for me.'

"Guy's, we should stay together to pass this exam." Midoriya said from the front.

"Heh, this isn't a field trip to stick together." Saying that, Bakugo moved away from the group and Kirishima along with Kaminari followed him.

"My quirk won't allow me to work in a large group. So I'll be leaving." Saying that, Todoroki also went in a different direction.

As soon as the exam began, Saiba made himself invisible by absorbing the light rays and releasing them to make himself invincible, and blended into the back of his group. As soon as the other schools started to show up to beat up U.A students, all of them, including his classmates, froze in their spot.

Smiling at that, Saiba murmured "I'm like Clockwork!"

He swiftly moved towards two examinees who were near him and tagged their targets using his balls. Nodding at that, he said "I should release them when I reach the waiting area."

Saying so, Saiba moved towards where the waiting area was, and when he was only 10 metres away from the waiting area, the frozen examinees all started to move again. And the two students who were eliminated were shocked to see that all their targets were lit up.

'Light absorption plus time freeze for the win~~... But I'm almost out of temporal energy.' Thinking so, Saiba got into the waiting area, and he saw a man in suits inside the waiting area. The man saw him and spoke something to another person through the comms, he couldn't hear what he was saying as he was some distance away from him.

'So they are on to me huh? Then I should be discreet about using the time energy. But I do need to charge it up, so where's the washroom?' Saiba looked around for the washroom.

Within a second or two, he found the washroom but didn't make his way towards the washroom, instead he lazed around the waiting area for some time. After a minute or two after he reached there, another announcement was heard. Approximately, 120 examinees have been eliminated. After the announcement ended, Saiba made a beeline towards the washroom, and on his way, he saw a glimpse of Inasa coming into the waiting room after eliminating 120 examinees.

Getting inside a cubicle and locking it, Saiba activated the tasers on his limbs and absorbed the electricity. 'I hope this works.' Thinking that, he channelled all the absorbed electricity and moved it towards the remaining temporal energy in his time ring.

As the energy was reaching the ring, it started to turn into temporal energy from electrical energy. After the time ring absorbed the temporal energy and increased its spinning speed around his heart. But, it was only about a miniscule amount of speed. As the conversion was going on, a green glow surrounded Saiba. 'Can't have them noticing this, as it belongs to Deadpool for now.'

Sensing that, Saiba laminated 'Man, the electric to temporal energy conversion is at 100:1, fire to temporal energy conversion is 200:1, solar to temporal conversion is 50:1, it's the highest one I have checked out till now. I should try to use the kinetic energy next time, I hope it will have a 20:1/30:1 conversion rate.'

Sighing, he got out of the cubicle and when he got back to the waiting area, he saw some other students too. He searched for any of his classmates, but there were none, so he made his way to Inasa and bluntly asked "Hey, I'm Saiba. Why didn't you join the U.A?"

Inasa was surprised with the question, but he still asked "Why do you want to know?"

"Well, you said that you love the U.A. so much and our sensei said that you were the second in recommendations, so I got curious." Saiba said.

Sighing, Inasa said "I believe that I have no obligation to tell you that."

"That's true. If you don't want to, then don't." Saiba told him.

"Thank you for your understanding, and I'm Inasa Yoarashi." Inasa introduced himself as he stretched his hand towards Saiba and Saiba shook on it.

Nodding at Saiba, Inasa said with a grin "You're strong."

Smiling under his mask, Saiba also said "You're strong too."

"But you're stronger." Inasa retorted.

"HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA" Both of them laughed boisterously after saying that.

The other examinees looked at them as if thinking what was wrong with them, and at the same time, some of the Class A students came to the waiting room after finishing their exam.

Hagakure who came along with Yaoyorozu, Tsuyu and Mina asked them "Did Joichiro lose his marbles?"
