Chapter 44: Training Camp

{3rd Person POV}

At U.A on the beginning of summer break, the first year students who joined were gathered at the parking lot waiting to board the bus.

Monoma from class B overheard Aizawa informing Denki, Mina, Kirishima and Sato about their supplementary lessons.

As Aizawa moved towards Vlad King, Monoma said "What? Class A needs supplementary lessons? That means someone got a failing mark? Huh? Isn't that weird? Isn't that strange? I thought Class A was supposed to be superior to Class B, right? Huh?"

"Sorry." Kendo said as she karate chopped Monoma on the neck and dragged him away from the class A students.

Getting on the bus in an orderly form, thanks to the watchful eyes of the vice representative Iida. Saiba, Todoroki, Tokoyami and Mezō sat in the backseat.

"So you guys fought against a villain who hijacked I-Island?" Saiba asked Shoto, who was sitting beside him with Tokoyami.

Tokoyami was also interested in the topic so he chimed in "What exactly happened at the island?"

"All we know is that they hijacked the island for something, they immobilized many of the heroes present at the party. As we were late for the party, we stumbled into their plot and took them out one by one." Shoto said.

Turning towards Bakugo who was sitting right in front of him, Saiba said "Man you got some field experience there huh."

"What'd ya say?" Bakugo barked back at Saiba.

"Down boy." Saiba ordered Bakugo as he was a dog.

Bakugo didn't like that one bit, as he shouted at Saiba while making explosions from his palms "What the hell do you think I am?"

Not minding Bakugo's outrage, Saiba said as if adding oil to the fire "An angry Pomeranian."

"FUCK YOU BASTARD!" Shouting that, Bakugo tried to jump at Saiba. But he was held back by Kirishima who used his hardening quirk to negate the explosions from Bakugo.

Aizawa who was watching all of it happening in the back of the bus through the rear view mirror thought 'The time to act like this is numbered for them, let them have a go at it.'

And then he looked towards Eri, who was sitting with Momo and Jiro, who had been entertaining Eri with whatever they could.

'I couldn't leave her alone at my place for a long period of time, as I don't know when her quirk will activate. Even Nezu agreed that taking her with me is the best option.' Aizawa thought along the lines.

Saiba who was giving Bakugo a wicked grin as Kirishima was holding him back, also looked at where Eri is supposed to be and thought 'I should make sure that she is safe at the training camp. Can't have her getting hurt after she got saved from Overhaul.'

He had to stop his thought process as Eri got off from her seat and walked to the back, where he was sitting. Slowly, supporting herself on the seats, she safely reached near Saiba.

Seeing Eri near Saiba, Bakugo stopped the explosions and closed his mouth. But he didn't forget to send a glare towards Saiba.

Eri, who was near Saiba, climbed up to his lap, and without saying anything leaned on to him with her face facing his chest. Slowly her breathing became steady as she fell asleep on his lap.

The rowdy bus descended into silence as the five year old was sleeping at the back. Saiba, softly rubbed her back with his hands in circles to make her comfortable.

An hour later, the bus stopped at a place. Slowly shaking Eri, Siaba said "Eri, wake up. We have to get out."

She stirred awake and nodded at him and holding his hand they got out of the bus at last. And they heard Aizawa saying "I'm sorry everyone, but your school trip has already started."

"Feel free to use your quirks on our domain as you see fit! You have three hours!! Use your own feet ti get to the facility!" A woman cosplaying as a cat shouted at the class A students who are at the bottom of the cliff. As she turned around, she saw Saiba and asked Aizawa ``Hey, there's still a kitten left here Aizawa."

Shaking his head, Aizawa said "If he went down there with the others, they would clear your test in an hour."

"Then are you giving him the easy way out because of that?" Another lady, cosplaying as a cat, asked Aizawa.

"You can say that." Then looking at Saiba he continued "Let's go to the campsite."

Nodding at Aizawa, along with Eri, Saiba got back into the bus. A minute later, Aizawa got into the bus, then sitting down he said "Don't think that I have shown any kind of favoritism to you. Your personal training would be the double of what they will be doing."

Saiba just nodded at him while thinking 'What kind of training does he have in mind for me?'

At the bottom of the cliff, Denki said out loud as he saw the hulking earth beasts "Where the hell is Jōichirō when you need him."

Momo looked around and counted the number of students present, and seeing that Saiba was not with them she said out loud "Guys, Jōichirō is not here."

"Great, he left us at the mercy of these beasts and ran straight towards the camp." Denki laminated.

"No, he was not pushed down the cliff along with us, as he was still in the bus trying to wake up Eri." Todoroki said.

"What the hell does that even have to do here?" Bakugo asked.

"It means that, while we are fighting against these earthly beasts, Jōichirō might be heading towards the camp site with Aizawa sensei." Tokoyami said.

"What he said." Todoroki agreed with Tokoyami's hypothesis.

Hearing that Bakugo lost it, and turning around he propelled himself foreward in the direction of the camp site, while shouting "FUCK YOU GEEZER BOY!!"
