Chapter 21: Declaration Of War

As morning came I went to school. Because of the USJ attack security was strict at U.A., thanks to that media isn't present.

As I reached the class I saw that Shoto was way earlier than me today. As soon as I sat down he said "Thanks for yesterday, Saiba."

"You're welcome."

Then there was silence, as he minded his business, that is reviewing the subjects. Some time later Momo came and sat at her seat, tapping on my shoulder she said "I forgot to say this day before yesterday, thanks for sending Kirishima towards us."

"Glad to be helped. But, it was Kirishima who took down that villain, so the credit for saving you guys goes to him." I told her.

"I know, but still if you didn't send him then Denki might have... "

"Nah, he would have been safe either way as the teachers reached USJ right after Kirishima took down that guy."

"Yeah you're right. But still thank you."

I nodded at her with a small smile on my face.

Then the class started to fill up slowly. Denki was alright now after his brain short circuited.

"Hey, did you watch the news last night?" Toru started.

"Yeah." Ojiro replied.

"Did you see how everyone in class was on screen for a second? I didn't stand out at all." Toru sighed. "That's true." Mezo said.

"It's hard to stand out looking like that, huh?" Ojiro looking at Toru said.

"But man, all the channels made a big deal out of it." Denki spoke after hearing Toru.

"I was surprised." Kirishima said.

"Can you blame them? The hero course that keeps pumping out pro heroes was attacked." Kyouka replied to Denki.

Then Hanta spoke "Who knows what would have happened if the teachers hadn't come when they did."

Suddenly Iida "Everyone! Morning homeroom is about to start! Stop talking and take your seats!"

"We're already in our seats." Denki said

"You are the only one who's not seated." Kirishima mocked him.

Hearing this Iida just sat at his seat. As soon as the bell rang Aizawa opened the door "Good morning."

"Morning sensei."

He looked at all of us, making sure that we were all present, then he spoke "For your information, the fight is not over yet."

When the students heard that, they thought villains were coming after them. But to their luck Aizawa said "U.A. sports festival is drawing near."

"That's a super normal school event.. " before Kirishima could finish Denki covered his mouth and said "Wait!"

Kyouka spoke at that gap "Is it okay to have a sports festival so soon after the villains snuck inside?"

"What if they attack us again or something?" Ojiro said right after Kyouka.

"Apparently they think of it as U.A. showing that our crisis management system is solid as a rock by holding the event. Security will also be strengthened to five times of last year. Above all our sports festival is a huge chance. It's not an event to be cancelled because of a few villains.

Our sports festival is one of Japan's biggest events. In the past, the Olympics were called a festival of sports, and the whole country was crazy about them. As you know, with reductions in scale and population, they are now shells of their former glory.

And now to Japan, what has taken the place of those Olympics is the U.A. sports festival." Momo said the last part with passion.

"Of course, joining a famous hero agency will get you more experience and popularity.

Time is limited.

If you expect to go pro, then the path to your future will open up at this event.

One chance a year, a total of three chances.

No aspiring hero can afford to miss this event.

If you understand that then don't slack off on your preparation."

"Yes sir."

"Homeroom is dismissed."

After the classes finished everyone was preparing to go home. As Ochaco opened the door, outside it was packed with the students of other classes. As she saw this she asked "What's going on?" Not getting any reply from them Iida spoke "What business do you have with class A?"

Surprising Iida, his question was answered by Bakugo ``Scouting out the enemy. We are the ones who made it out if the villains attack. They probably want to check us out before the sports festival." As he reached in front of them, he looked at them menacingly and said "There's no point in doing stuff like that. Out of my way, extras!"

"I came to see what the famous class A was like, but you seem pretty arrogant. Are all the students in the hero course like this?.... " As he was about to continue a voice interrupted him.

"Excuse me, please move aside. I need to go now." When he heard that he stepped back and let three students pass by him. Looking at the students who went, the students of Class A were dumbfounded, even Bakugō.

"Anyway, as I was saying. I don't think you know. But there's a scheme that allows other students to be promoted to the hero class and vice versa if they do well in the sports festival. I don't know about the others who have gathered here, but I'm here as a declaration of war." Saying that he was about to turn around and leave, but he stopped and looked into class A and said "If you are here, I hope you heard what I said."

"Who are you talking to?" Denki asked, confused.

"The one who had a major hand in defeating the villains that appeared at USJ."

"Ahh.... if you are looking for Saiba, he left a second ago after politely asking you." Kyouka said that while suppressing her laugh, while Denki just lost it after knowing he was looking for Jōichirō.

Hearing her reply he looked at the back of the student who was at the end of the hallway. As he looked at his back, without even turning around Jōichirō waved his hand to him.
