MHA:Concept Gear

A soldier, conscripted for world war 4, dies tragically on the battle field…not After hearing a coworker drop a large stack of papers Erin Atkinson dies of an unfortunate series of events. Just like that 4 years of army logistics work gone. Well at least she got her MagikaVR account to max level, could have died before that and died unfulfilled. With a new start and a quirk that has theoretically limitless possibilities how will she fair in a world where any random teenager could have a city leveling power hiding inside them. =================================== New fan-fic following my dissatisfaction with my previous novel. I’m hoping to increase my writing skills through this fic. A slightly upscaled and more ‘realistic’ version of MHA. Expect hero’s to have kill counts, even All Might, and for the general power level to be higher. I guess this will be technically an AU as I have not seen the more recent seasons of MHA nor read the manga. So past the sports festival arc expect the canon to diverge slightly more then normal fics. Their will be no babying of class 1-A, Erin is a soldier at the end of the day and she’s here to take names. There will be a minor psychological element, not as heavy as my previous novel but still there as I believe that reincarnation and death will always take their toll on someone. I don’t own MHA or anything else except my OC. Cover art isn’t mine either the artist can contact me if they want it taken down.

==================================

As we began to walk to the martial repository I though of an item set that would be extremely useful to me as it would allow me to copy down the whole repository.

After sort of feeling it out with my quirk though I realized an issue. I would have to set aside a rather sizable portion of my reserves to do it. Around 45% of my already diminished reserves.

I'd managed to grow my reserves to the point that the necklace only took up around one seventh of my energy now but still this would be nearly half my remaining energy also taken up. Luckily only half of the item set would have to be a permanent summon, unfortunately it was the more energy intensive part. It would still take around 27% of my energy to permanently summon it.

Of course this could also technically be summoned temporarily and I could just transfer the information onto a computer, but if I was going to summon this then might as well do it permanently after all it's incredibly useful.

The item I was talking about was the legendary grade equipment for the scholar profession. It was officially called 'Scholars Divine Crest' but everybody had just called it the 'Copy & Paste' tool. It looked like a small eye shaped tattoo on your hand and another book shaped tattoo anywhere you wanted it.

The eye shaped tattoo was the 'copy' function anything you touched would be recorded down. From copying entire libraries to touching buildings to get the blueprints anything could be recorded.

The book tattoo was where everything got pasted. All the information pasted would be translated into a language you understand and flowery pointless information would discarded. It acted as a sort of information repository by itself, as long as you had the tattoo it was like having an extra connection in your head that allowed you to google search your way through this repository.

I'd had the set given to me as a quest reward in the past even if I didn't have the scholar profession and it was extremely useful. It was a little worse then perfect memory because you had to actually search for the knowledge you needed it wouldn't just pop to the front of your mind when you needed it like people with perfect memories. Overall though it was still very impressive and would help with my future studies.

Deciding to start with the book tattoo first I summoned it somewhere that hopefully no one would ever notice. The tattoos could be shrunk to as small as 1mm by 1mm before they experienced a drawback in effectiveness. Just like they stopped gaining effectiveness past 10cm by 10cm. So I placed the little tattoo as high up on my inner thigh as I could, that was the safest place I could think of at the moment as there wasn't likely to be a time that spot would be exposed to anyone.

Moving on to the one on my hand it had to be in the center of my palm so I would just wait till we got to the repository. I suppose I should mention that while I was doing all this grandpa and I had simply been waking in companionable silence.

After about three more minutes we reached an extremely ornate wooden door. But we didn't go through that door, no we went through a small plain door on the left that led to a very small spiral staircase. Walking down the staircase grandpa began to explain some history behind the repository.

"When your many times great grandfather was in Europe for the First World War his favorite thing to was learn new fighting styles from the various people he met.

After the war was over he dedicated his life to traveling the world, learning new styles and recording them down. His son, following his participation in the Second World War, did much the same thing. And it was then that the Crawford family blade style was born.

Combining 547 other blade styles wasn't easy and it took a recorded 7 generations for it to finally be made a complete style. However, due the huge mix of styles even now I have added several stances and moves that you can mix in. So, we are still developing it. There are also a couple added styles in there for quirks like speed quirks and power types."

Hearing that I was in awe, especially considering that all the original sword styles would also be down here. In my past life, using both the game and real world resources I'd managed to learn around 36 sword styles. Of course my time was taken up learning various other things too but still. As grandpa told me more and more about the types of things down in the repository the more excited I got. And that's when we reached it, a large cast iron door of some type reinforced with what felt like dads enchantments.

Grandpa pulled out a key and unlocked it revealing the huge space behind it. It looked like it went on forever, just a huge room of book shelves and on the left side a single wall of servers. Turning to grandpa I asked my main question.

"What's on the servers?"

"Ah, certain books from the first few generations of Crawfords had deteriorated to the point that they had to be photographed and uploaded into digital forms. But eventually we decided to just do it with everything as a precaution. All the styles available have a physical book even if it isn't the original book and just a perfect copy."

Nodding my head I prepared for the most intensive summon I had ever done. Summoning the little eye tattoo on my palm to get myself ready I began my summoning. A noticeable hum filled the air as a pair of metallic sandals formed on my feet.

These were Areodium sandals blessed by the god of wind. They granted the user super speed to the point time slowed down. They were how I was going to touch every book in the library in only a few minutes.

So with them formed and the tattoo on my hand I took off touching every book with my palm once. Meanwhile grandpa just stood there with his jaw dropped looking at me, who likely appeared as a flash of white and black; zooming around.

After two minutes I was done, feedback from the tattoo told me I had recorded around 4,700 new styles and 217 styles I already knew. Arriving back in front of grandpa I dismissed the sandals and sat down to catch my breath.

I was essentially running on empty, something I normally only did on weekends before I went to sleep to help grow my reserves. Grandpa finally seemed to snap out of his shock before looking down at me with a look of awe and confusion.

"What was that…"

"That was me recording down every style in the whole repository so I can study anytime I want."

Hearing that the awe on his face became even more apparent although I saw some worry there as well.

"Oh… and your okay with doing that? Your not overloading yourself right?"

"No, summoning the speed shoes is a little tiring but the information is fine."

He seemed a little surprised by that but otherwise fairly accepting of what had just happened. Which was good because I would have done this with or without acceptance, after all a new world meant new styles and that was extremely exciting.
