Chapter 28

A day after the sports festival, everyone went back to school for regular classes. Axel, Mina, and Kirishima had it a bit rough since everyone on the train recognized them from the festival and asked them for autographs, mainly Axel since he won the entire thing.

" Alright, class. Take a look at the board. This is the number of offers you have been given. " Aizawa said.

The results for the offers were unfair and completely one-sided. Axel had the most votes, followed by Todoroki, then Bakugou, and so on.

" Damn, there is no competition. " Denki said as he looked at the results.

" I know. Most of the votes went straight to Axel, Todoroki, and Bakugou. " Sero said.

" Most of them were probably because of my father. " Todoroki said.

' I got zero. Make sense. ' Midoriya thought as he looked at the board which didn't have his name.

'It's going to be pian looking through all of them. ' Axel thought.

' What a drag. '

" As you can see, the offers this year aren't evenly spread out. However, there's no need to worry. Even if you didn't get offers, you can still choose an agency to work at.

We have a list that you can choose from and we need it by the end of the day. If you can't decide, I'll decide one for you.

Now then, on to the more important topic. " Aizawa said seriously.

The students tensed up as they looked at their teacher.

" You will be deciding your hero names. " Aizawa said.

" That's something normal! " The class cheered.

" Shut up. " Aizawa said as he used his quirk. The class quieted down as Aizawa stopped using his quirk.

" Picking a hero name is a big deal. Though I won't be the one helping you with this task. Instead, you have... "

" Me," Midnight said as she walked into the room.

" If you don't choose your hero name properly, it can seriously harm you later in your career. " Midnight said as she grinned towards the class.

" With that said, I will be helping all of you in choosing your names. Once you choose a name, write it on the whiteboard in front of you and show it to the class. " Midnight said as she handed the whiteboards and markers to the class.

" What, we have to present them? " Sato asked nervously.

" Yes. " Midnight said.

' Oh god. Now I'm nervous. ' Sero thought.

' What is a good name? ' Hakagure thought.

One by one they walked up to the front of the class and told everyone their hero names.

Axel's turn was up next as he walked to the front and showed everyone his hero name.

Aegis. The shield hero.

" I like it. It's short, catchy, and fits your quirk's purpose. " Midnight said with a thumbs up.

" Damn, Aegis sounds so badass. " Denki said out loud.

" I know right. " Sero said.

" It sounds so manly. " Kirishima said.

Todotoki was next as he went to the front of the class to show his hero name.

Frost Burn.

" That sounds so badass. " Mina said as he looked at the name.

" It fits too. " Denki said.

" Splendid name choice. Don't need to change anything. " Midnight said.

Todoroki nodded as he went back to his desk as the class went on. Everyone displayed their hero names and was approved by Midnight.

Except for Bakugou because he wanted to be called Lord Explosion Murder.

" He should have named himself Ground Zero. " Axel muttered.

" That suits him. " Todoroki said.

" Should I tell him? " Axel asked.

" Even if you did, he will probably just yell back and say he wants Lord explosion murder. " Todoroki said.

" That's true. " Axel said as he looked at Bakugou arguing with Midnight over his name.

Axel walked to the principal's office after the school day ended. He told Mina and Kirishima that he would go meet with the principal and then head home.

Knocking on the door, Axel waited for Nezu to respond.

" Come in. " Nezu said cheerfully.

" Hello, Nezu. " Axel said as he walked in.

" Hello, Axel. So what are you here for? " Nezu asked getting straight to the point.

" I want All Might to punch one of my barriers. " Axel said as he looked at Nezu.

Nezu was surprised before thinking about it. Curiosity won him over.

" Okay. I'll be there to supervise and we will have to go to a different location. Just in case your barriers don't hold up. " Nezu said as Axel nodded.

Nezu texted All Might to go to one of the facilities at UA meeting up with him and Axel.

Upon arriving, All Might stared at Axel and Nezu arriving and greeted them.

" So Nezu, what did you need me for? " All Might asked.

"You're going to punch Axel's barrier. " Nezu said plainly.

" Really? "

" Really. " Nezu and Axel responded.

" I see. But why exactly? " All Might asked.

" I need to know how much damage my barrier can withstand before breaking. " Axel said.

All Might could understand. Up till now, nothing could break Axel's barriers.

" Alright then. " All Might said as he smiled. He was also excited. He wanted to see how much Axel's barriers could withstand his punches before breaking.

" Well then. Let's begin. All Might, start with a low amount of power before working your way up. " Nezu said as he walked away to a safe distance.

Axel created a normal rectangular barrier as All Might stood in front of it.

'Let's start with 10%. '

All Might reeled his arm back and punched the barrier.

* bam *

Smiling wildly, All Might took back his arm to prepare another punch. Axel's barrier held up against All Might's punch easily and didn't break.

20%

* bam *

More force slammed against the barrier but it held the same results. No damage to the barrier.

30%

* bam *

The barrier held up again but Axel had to use more energy to stop the punch.

40%

* Bam *

Removing his hand, All Might, Axel, and Nezu looked at the barrier that had a small crack. The barrier quickly repaired itself as All Might reeled his arm back.

50%

* Bam *

The pressurized wind slammed against Axel and Nexu as All Might removed his hand. The crack formed this time was much larger than before bit the barrier didn't break.

Axel repaired the barrier and got ready for the next punch.

60%

* Bam *

* shatter *

They looked at the barrier which had a fist-size hole while having a large crack surrounding it. The barrier didn't break completely and was still standing.

70%

* BAM *

* shatter *

Axel fell to one knee as he breathed in and out as he looked at the results. His barrier shattered completely as All Might's fist slammed straight through it.

" You are incredible, Young Axel. Your barrier broke completely in one punch when I had to use 70% of my full strength. " All Might said as he smiled.

Axel nodded his head as Nezu came up to them.

" That's quite an achievement. So how helpful was this? " Nezu asked.

" Very. The nomu from the USJ incident was made to kill you. I used the reflective properties of my barrier to reflect all the damage it can do with a punch back at it.

It could have broken my barriers at that time if it had the same amount of strength as you. " Axel said as he got up.

" Understandable. Though I'm quite surprised at your choice for the internship. " Nezu stated.

" Really? Who did you choose? " All Might asked.

Axel looked at All Might and told him.

" Endeavor. "
