'It doesn't make any sense… Actually scratch that it's anime, so it makes anime sense I guess?'
After a couple minutes browning through high and low through the somewhat unfamiliar internet he had been able to answer many of the questions that remained unclear since he arrived in this world.
For example, how did quirks come to be?
According to popular science, the quirks were, as he suspected, a product of natural evolution and at some point people simply started being born that way… Although its a fairly popular theory that quirks might have been around for much longer but simply were too insignificant or weak to have been discovered.
'There are some guys trying to push a rat caused quirks to appear theory though...'
As for who first awakened a quirk?
According to the internet the first baby to exhibit features of a quirk was born in China and dubbed as 'luminous baby' somewhere around 130 to 150 years in the past.
Since he appeared something called the Dawn of Quirks happened where the rate of people being born with quirks exploded exponentially around the world.
'Seems I wasn't quite accurate, in this world quirks showed up much before I would have even been born…'
One thing Thaumiel had been right about though is that quirks showing up caused a much more violent social repercussion than he originally thought, to the level that reading the article felt like he was reading a synopsis of the X-man Days of Future Past.
A generalized hunt for people who had quirks, which at the time was deemed as a sickness.
This, of course, resulted in destruction, chaos and panic being spread out at alarming rates as normal people banded together and hunted for mutants which desperately fought back for their own lives.
This lasted through some years and apparently a really scary guy showed up around that time and almost caused a complete shift in the social order of the whole country by himself, some people even dubbed him like a sort of 'demon king'.
Thaumiel couldn't really be sure if the dude had actually existed though since the records were lacking, to say the least.
Eventually the persecution stopped and society returned to some semblance of civility.
This did hit the pace of technology development really hard though.
Looking at the rate at which scientists here were improving stuff and climbing the 'technological tree' it's no exaggeration at all to say that were it not because of quirks, maybe the human race would have already achieved interstellar travel…
'As expected of the world of Anime.'
Past events aside, regarding the present.
Currently society was not that much different from what he was used to, and technology was indeed much more advanced than when he had been alive and there indeed is futuristic shit that makes you go 'WOOOOW'.
It's just that on the surface society seemed to keep the previous architeture without changing too much over all.
About heroes… apparently they were a legit profession.
The type which required a proper license and education, there were also laws forbidding the use of quirks by civilians to save other people, of course there is some flexibility but that's only the case for extremely perilous situations.
As for who would usually become a hero? Well it was a bit of a weird thing. Normally you'd think only a person with a strong quirk could become a hero and yes there were heroes with very strong quirks but there were also heroes that honestly weren't much different from 'quirkless' people.
On one hand you had All Might.
A bloody demi-god that could clear cloud skies by throwing out a punch and effortlessly jumping through the skies like he was Hulk.
Then on another hand you had some heroes whose quirks were spraying water like an hydrant… Which curiously actually had a fire hydrant shaped head.
Of course All Might, current number one hero, was a bit of a special case, to be honest this guy was just on a whole other scale compared to all the other heroes.
Like seriously if you put eternal second place Endeavour vs All Might it would be like a fight between a professional MMA and a baby.
This brings about the main thing of this world.
Quirks! A.K.A this world's version of superpowers.
Just like he had thought, everyone in this world does indeed only have one quirk from birth, which usually is either inherited from one of their parents, a mix of both, or a complete mutation.
In addition, although some quirks might work in ways that lead people to think the person using got multiple quirks.
In the very foundation, people only have one natural quirk.
'Which doesn't mean that you can't be born with a quirk that allows you to take other quirks, or copy, or create quirks… Actually scratch that, knowing this is anime 100% there is such a quirk. It's also probably a villain's quirk as well since taking other people's individuality isn't exactly 'hero' behavior.'
With such a conjecture in mind, Thaumiel already felt a massive headache appearing.
"How the hell do you beat someone like that…"
Closing the internet tabs he laid back on the gaming chair with a blank expression while staring at the ceiling.
Now he had more or less 'figured out' this world, and with the answers he was now a bit confused.
'Then why am I here? What do I want to do from now on…'
With the past solved one needs to think about the future, yet that can be quite confusing for someone who died while still young.
Confusion, fear of the future, some apprehension…
All these emotions bloomed in a weird and chaotic mix inside his mind leaving him not knowing what he should and could even do.
There wasn't really anyone he could talk with or ask about it either…
In the peak of his confusion and uncertainty he did what any young man could do, leave the decision to his future self!
"Ahhh~ fuck I'll figure out later for now though… 7000 talent points here I come~"
Without delay Thaumiel begun to search crash courses for learning various languages
And quite quickly a talent popped up, then another. It's just the moment the third Linguistic type talent appeared, then to his absolute disappointment the three language talents merged into a single one, making him unable to further gain new language talents.
[Talents: Japanese Language(13) + English Language(22) + French Language(16) => Talent: Linguistics(51)]

From that point onward trying to learn any other languages didn't create new talents and talent points but instead only increased linguistics talent.
Feeling a bad presentiment rising up in his heart, Thaumiel quickly looked up a couple history and biology books.
Sure enough what he most feared happened.

Looking as his biggest fears came true Thaumiel felt his soul almost leaving his body at that moment as life suddenly became soo blank.
"M-my 7000 points…"
Taking a minute to recover from the blow Thaumiel could only sigh and accept the cruelty of reality and continue to look for more talents, which to his pain also later on got fused.

Looking at the already pretty absurd number of TTP Thaumiel felt quite satisfied with this amount although he didn't have much room for comparison he was pretty confident he could become a world level genius in any field.
Then just as he was about to continue searching for some stuff that could possibly trigger talents a few knocks were heard from his door making him pause in place.
"Thaumiel, the bath has already heated up."
As the velvet frigid voice spoke, he did not dare to delay answering.
"O-Okay I'll be right there."
Turning his attention back to the computer he quickly cleaned up the early research on the history of quirks and some more sensitive subjects leaving only the later research on various things he could use to trigger talents.
He even went as far as to open up the prompt of command and erase the IP registers showing he visited those sites.
After all you can never be too safe when living with someone that works for for the authorities.
Next he simply turned off the computer and went out of his bedroom with a change of clothes in hand.
What followed was a rare opportunity for him to just lay in a nice bathtub of hot water and let all the nervousness and frustrations of the day be swept away.
With newfound refreshness and dressed in clean pajamas Thaumiel finally got a proper look into the mirror.
'So this is what I look like?'
Resembling Makima a bit, he had a rather 'doll- like' appearance although not frigid looking to the same extent as her. Along with it he also had pure white hair that wasn't too long, just enough to reach his shoulders, and last but not least he had pretty striking vibrant red eyes.
'As expected of an anime world, people having different colored hairs and pupils that would be rare if not outright impossible in reality are but the most basic of things. Still not bad, at least I'm quite better looking than my previous self… need to cut my hair shorter though.'
Not wasting too much time on the mirror he went to the kitchen for dinner.
There Makima was putting the food on the table while a pair of husks sat nearby in a very obedient manner.
Briefly pausing to take a look since he only vaguely remembered the dogs from memory, Thaumiel curiously approached them.
Leaning down and giving the pair a few nudges and pats on the head he smiled a tad bit impressed with how obedient they were.
While patting them and allowing his thoughts to wander he didn't really notice that on the kitchen counter Makima who was putting food on the plates slightly paused, glancing his way and narrowing her eyes before resuming her actions.
Playing with Polka and Pochita for a few more minutes he then got up and went to wash his hands before sitting down at the table across Makima to start eating.
"Thanks for the food"X2
With the Buddhist prayer before a meal, he began to dig in.
The food was delicious, something unsurprising with how good it looked.
There also wasn't much talking in the meal, which in a way was a tad bit of a torture for Thaumiel who was a bit of a chatterbox in his last life.
Yet he held in and endured as his better judgment instructed.
Finishing quickly he said good night and wasted no time getting to his bedroom and going to bed, something he had been wanting to do since becoming Saintclair.
…
2:30 AM
In the quiet of the night what he didn't know however is that a certain 'visitor' appeared in his bedroom.
crrrr.
With the faint sound of the wooden door opening faint sounds of someone stepping inside echoed through the small bedroom as a neat figure dressed in pajamas and with glowing orange and red eyes navigated through the darkness.
She first came over toward the bed where Thaumiel could be seen laying in an awkward position with a pleasant face, obviously in a deep sleep.
"Thau? Thau wake up." She said in the usual calm tone while gently nudging him.
Yet surprisingly he showed no signs of awakening whatsoever, even though thumiel had always been a light sleeper.
"The sleeping medicine seems to have worked fine. You should be more careful with what you eat Thau…"
Turning her bright gaze away from him she proceeded toward the computer, turning it on she called up the search history.
Frowning slightly at the numerous searches about various sports, subjects, games and a multitude of other things he eyebrows eased again as she no longer found much else, even after looking through the IP history recorded in the HD.
Turning off the computer Makima briefly paused in place closing her eyes for a few seconds
"Was I needlessly worried…"
She murmured before opening her eyes again, glancing the boy's way and proceeding to head outside again making it as if she had never stepped inside.
