At that moment, the professor's gentle voice came from the car: "I'm sorry, Dr. Ye. I have sensed that Raven has taken Little Rascal onto a plane, and they are heading east. They have already exceeded our sensing range. But rest assured, I will track them at all times using the brainwave amplifier!"

Magneto's intention of capturing Little Rascal was clear: he aimed to sacrifice the child's life force to activate the machine he had developed. Ye Hai, who was familiar with the original story, knew that during the summit meeting of leaders from various countries on Liberty Island, Magneto was supposed to activate his machine at the Statue of Liberty.

However, things had changed. Magneto was already aware that the success rate of his machine was low. If he attempted to use it during the summit meeting, the leaders of the world would suffer heavy casualties, inevitably provoking a worldwide hunt for mutants. Moreover, Ye Hai had learned about his plan and would definitely try to thwart it. Therefore, Magneto would either abandon the plan for the summit meeting or act with greater caution.

The professor and the others were all alarmed. Wolverine frowned and said, "Dr. Ye, since you've already guessed his plan, Magneto knows we will try to stop him. He should abandon this plan, right?"

Magneto chuckled bitterly, "Logan, you don't understand Erik. Given his personality, he knows full well we will try to stop him, yet he will proceed nonetheless. I can only hope he reconsiders due to the potential for heavy casualties and abandons this plan." Then he urged, "We need to return to the school quickly; I need to track down Magneto's whereabouts as soon as possible!"

Ye Hai and the others immediately rushed back to the mutant academy. Upon arrival, the professor headed straight into the brainwave amplification room.

The brainwave amplification room was a vast circular structure surrounded by dense virtual screens that emanated a metallic silvery glow, resembling steel. The control unit for the amplifier was built on a long bridge, where there was a helmet that looked very futuristic.

Ye Hai glanced at the helmet and asked Phoenix, "Jean, can you use this helmet as well?"

Phoenix shook her head regretfully. "Not yet. This helmet is too burdensome for me; I can't handle it."

Ye Hai smiled. "It must be a lot of fun!"

Phoenix relaxed her shoulders. "So far, only the professor has been able to use it, but each time I see him in discomfort, I think wearing this helmet isn't a pleasant experience."
