Chapter 37: knowledge is power

Emma scanned the classroom seeing the students and their broken expression after Ororo announced she was a teacher and couldn't help but smile a little, which in turn charmed more students.

"Silence," said Ororo, ending the student's murmur; she continued: "Don't act like little kids, or don't you feel embarrassed?"

The students finally returned to their quietness; although Ororo is usually full of smiles, she is the teacher they least wanted to offend because she is literally a Storm.

Ororo was, of course, happy seeing them listening to her; she said: "Ms. Müller may look young, but don't let appearances fool you."

"If you look at it, you could find some information about her. She has been through a lot more than some of you can imagine, and I expect you to show her the same respect you give any of your other teachers."

Emma must admit that even though she was impressed by Ororo's speech, it's not by mistake that she can become the headmistress of this school in some universe.

Emma said: "Don't be so so hard on them, anyway, the class hasn't officially started, plus isn't it normal for them to be curious about their new teacher?"

Ororo nodded; she understood what Emma was doing and played along: "But even so, they are a group of adults and not children."

When Emma was about to open her mouth, she didn't let her and continued: "Okay, don't say more; I will let you do your own class. Don't come to me complaining later."

Emma smiled and shook her head when Ororo left the classroom; she then turned her face to face the students: "You are very lucky to have a teacher who truly cares about you because, in a normal school, some teachers wouldn't care about what you have done as long as you're not bothering them."

Some of the students nodded, understanding what she meant, while the rest didn't really care.

She said: "Anyway, let's dwell on this; today, we will start with a simple lesson about medical knowledge."

"Tell me what you know about basic field medicine. In dangerous situations, when you're out there facing threats, healing can be just as important as combat. Can anyone tell me the first thing you do when you encounter an injured teammate?"

After all, mutants are too dependent on their abilities, and this becomes their weakness sometimes.

As someone who has been very interested in the technological side and likes attracting attention, Kitty obviously raised her hands along with some students.

To be honest, the thirst for knowledge isn't a bad thing, especially in the Marvel world, but more than anything, it's this kind of student she likes, especially with her system.

She then walked towards the blackboard drawing a rough outline of a human body with key areas marked. "For example, the femoral artery in the thigh or the carotid artery in the neck. If someone is bleeding heavily from these points, quick action is needed to stop the bleeding. Can anyone tell me what methods you would use to stop it?"

Few people raised their hands this time; this time, Emma chose a girl named Marlene, who replied: "Tie a tourniquet above the wound to cut off blood flow, right?"

"Most of you are above the average human in terms of physical ability or memory ability, but unfortunately, you don't have enough knowledge and knowledge is power."

"You should learn how to scientifically make good use of your power, as weak as it seems, it may have a better way that would make you more useful rather than always thinking about fighting, I think you don't understand how serious the mutants situation is nowadays, you are fighting for survival, not domination."
