Kara felt nervous.
It had been like this since she woke up in the morning with a feeling of worry in her heart.
At first, she didn't think much of it, but as time passed, the feeling not only didn't disappear but grew stronger, as if something bad was happening.
Subconsciously, she thought that maybe Alex was in danger, which was why she felt so uneasy.
She quickly called Alex, but for some reason, no one picked up.
She tried several times, but it was the same—no response.
This was almost impossible before.
Alex was always online 24/7, and even if Kara called in the middle of the night, she would pick up immediately.
Kara had to take it seriously.
A woman's intuition told her that Alex couldn't answer the phone because something bad had happened.
She had to go find her!
Kara decided to go to Alex's workplace to check, but as soon as she opened the door, a bright idea flashed through her mind.
"Wait! Could it be because of last night?"
Kara remembered what happened last night, and her intuition told her that Alex might have gone to find Jack.
She rushed to the phone and dialed the number she remembered in her mind.
Ring...
Ring...
Ring...
No answer.
Now Kara could be almost sure that Alex had indeed gone to find Jack, and they had gone out.
But the problem was, where did they go?
Kara felt panicked. She was worried about Alex's safety and also about Jack.
What was she worried about? She couldn't even say it herself.
"Well, calm down! Calm down, Kara Danvers."
Kara slapped her face to force herself to calm down and started thinking about where they might have gone.
Their meeting place must still be in National City, but the City was so big that no one knew exactly where they were.
If it were Superman, with his super hearing, he could easily find someone in a city.
Unfortunately, she wasn't her super-powered cousin. As a Kryptonian, she wasn't even skilled in flying.
"Right, Superman."
Kara's eyes lit up as she figured out some connections.
Alex suspected that Jack might be a super-powered person with ulterior motives, so she definitely wouldn't go to meet him alone.
She would definitely call for backup, and what backup would be the most powerful?
Without a doubt, there was no other choice besides the strongest hero on Earth, Superman.
She called Superman quickly, but as she had expected, no one answered.
So, as long as she found Superman, she could find Alex.
Finding Superman would be easier.
Kara quickly ran out, going up the stairs to the rooftop.
Arriving at the rooftop, it was empty. Kara cleared her throat and took a deep breath.
"Clark, I know you can hear me!"
"Come to see me right away. Otherwise, I'll post your baby photos on the internet, The ones without clothes."
Kara yelled over and over, each time in a different way, because she was afraid Superman would not hear.
If this place wasn't so far from Metropolis, Kara would have thought of throwing Lois Lane off the building.
Superman could always catch her, even on the other side of the Earth.

Meanwhile, in a campground outside of the city
Jack and Clark talked to each other.
After this brief discussion, Clark could say that Jack did not mean any harm. He was just a foolish man searching for a girl who might not even exist.
At least in Clark's eyes, that's what he believed.
However, compared to that, Clark was more curious about Jack's identity as a fellow Kryptonian.
There were only a few Kryptonians left after the destruction of Krypton, and Clark felt a sense of connection when he suddenly met another Kryptonian.
He couldn't help but want to talk with Jack for a while.
At that moment, he heard a voice that caught his attention, and what it said made him raise an eyebrow.
"Hehe."
Jack naturally heard it, too, and couldn't help but let out a chuckle.
Sensing Clark's gaze beside him, he quickly restrained his smile and spoke seriously,
"So, what do you think now? Do you still think I'm a bad guy?"
"When... Uh, wait, can I ask you two things?"
Clark stopped him just in time because he was about to forget the two most important questions.
"Why do you have Kara's necklace? And how do you know her name?"
"About that..."
Jack let out a sigh and muttered,
"I don't think you would believe me even if I told you. I don't even know the origin of the necklace. One day, I woke up, and it was in my hand."
"As for Kara's name, have you heard of the multiverse? I just happened to have met another version of Kara Danvers from a different universe."
"I know what you're worried about, but believe me, Clark, if I wanted to hurt someone, you wouldn't be able to stop me."
The last words left Clark unable to refute them because he could sense it.
The man in front of him was much stronger than him. If they were to fight, Clark would be the one getting beaten up.
Clark had the self-awareness to understand that.
"Aren't you going to find her?"
Jack couldn't help but tease,
"If you don't leave soon, she really will post those pictures on the internet. Just imagine Superman's baby photos, the ones without clothes. It should be interesting to a lot of people."
"Yeah, she's capable of doing it."
Clark shook his head helplessly. He couldn't rule out the possibility that his cousin might actually do such a thing.
So, to protect his reputation, he had no choice but to stand up and prepare to leave.
"By the way, let us not tell her what we are discussing right now. I'll find an opportunity to tell her later."
Jack reminded him at this point.
After thinking for a moment, Clark nodded and agreed, then took off into the sky.
Watching Clark disappear into the sky, Jack let out a sigh and seemingly said intentionally,
"Are you satisfied?"
"What?"
Alex, who was approaching Jack, couldn't help but pause.
"You know who I am, why I came here, and my purpose."
Jack turned his head and glanced at her.
"Actually, you didn't have to go through so much trouble. You could have just asked me directly. I have nothing to hide."
"But I understand. Facing a suspicious unknown person, it's only natural to be cautious."
He stood up and walked in front of Alex, handing her the rose in his hand.
"Please give this to Kara for me. Thank you. Oh, and I'll be staying for a few more days at that hotel. Whether or not you want to keep stopping her is up to you."
Before leaving, he looked at a hidden camera on a tree, and with a deep smile, he copied Clark and took off into the sky.
Meanwhile, at the temporary command center of the DEO not far away, Hank Henshaw's face was serious, his brow was creased, and his eyes were a color that no one could understand.
His intuition told him that the look that the man gave him before leaving was directed at him.
