CH 25: The Poisoned Apple

"Bang Bang Bang..."

There was a knock on the door.

"Please wait a moment."

After a while, Snow White opened the door.

At this time, Snow White had changed into the most ordinary rough clothes, and was holding a broom in her hand, as if she was cleaning.

Even so, her innocent and beautiful face did not diminish in the slightest, but instead made the rough clothes on her body more distinctive.

Looking at the strange old lady with white hair and hunched waist at the door, Snow White asked curiously:"Old lady, do you need something?"

She turned and fetched a glass of water, handing it to the old woman, who drank it tremblingly. Almost instantly, the old woman's complexion seemed to be improved.

"You are truly a kind-hearted girl," the old woman said with a smile. "To thank you, I will give you this apple. It has been my treasured possession for a long time."

The apple that the old lady took out was red and bright, which made people feel hungry at the first sight.

Snow White hesitated. It wasn't that she doubted the apple; instead, she worried that the old woman might have nothing left to eat.

However, when She looked up and wanted to return the apple, she noticed that the old lady had already disappeared.

Although Snow White felt a little strange, she didn't think much about it. As innocent as she was, her heart did not harbor many dark thoughts.

Since the old lady had left, she looked at the red apple that had already made her heart race. Her lips dried slightly,she turned around, and returned to the room with excited steps.

Finish the housework first, then I'll taste this delicious apple,and also save some for the dwarfs, she thought.

Rock in the Dark knight armour glanced at her and said lightly,"You'll know soon enough."

"By the way, your disguise can no longer be called mere disguise,it even involves changes in body shape.It's more like some kind of transfiguration."

The old lady shook her head:"disguise is a lower-level magic of transfiguration. I can only change shapes freely when I reach the professional level,now I can only change into humanoid life forms."

Rock nodded but said no more, and continued to look down at the scene below.

Snow White was hardworking and cheerful. Even when doing housework, she remained happy, like a cheerful bird.

Soon, the entire room was cleaned spotless, even reflecting a faint luster.

After finishing everything, Snow White washed her hands, walked to the table, and cut the bright red apple into six equal-sized portions. She then picked up her own portion and tasted it with delight. As the sweet flavor filled her mouth, her eyes lit up instantly, and she began eating it one small bite at a time, savoring the hard-earned treat.

However, as she gradually ate her portion of the red apple, Snow White's vision started to blur. Moments later, with a loud thud, she collapsed onto the table.

Rock, who had been watching the scene through the window, smiled faintly.

"Let's go. It's time to find another piece of the puzzle," he said.

"Who is it?"

"Now that we have a princess, we naturally need a prince who matches her,the Prince Charming."

Although both are Supernatural beings, the witch being a natural nemesis is immune to Snow White's special aura and can even harm her, but the usually formidable dwarfs would be instantly rendered powerless by it.

However, the prince is also immune.

Not only is he immune, but he can also completely possess Snow White.

That prince is truly special. So here comes the question, how can such a special prince actually fall in love with 'Snow White' who has been poisoned by the poisoned apple in the original book as soon as he appears?

Whether it was the territory of the Lion King, the lair of giant pythons, or a water source claimed by crocodiles, he had been there. This time, he came to a remote forest again.One by one, he eliminated the terrifying beasts that roamed there, until suddenly, he spotted a dilapidated house.

He approached the house and knocked gently on the door.

"Who's there?"

"Old lady, I heard sobbing. Are you in trouble?"

The old lady hesitated,she looked at his handsome face and stiff body.After hesitating for a moment ,she said:

"It's my daughter,my poor daughter. She was taken away by a group of horrible monsters that looked like little devils."

The prince's eyes lit up. He had seen a lot in his travels, but he had never seen a monster snatching a girl. Most importantly, this was like a common plot in storybooks, and according to the normal development in the story…

No,no, don't think about it, he told himself. But he couldn't help it,he was truly a little excited at this moment.

"To be honest, I am an excellent knight. I have conquered giant pythons and even the powerful lion kings. I may be able to help you."

The old lady looked at the prince cautiously, with some expectation and doubt. After a long pause, perhaps the expectation of finding her daughter overwhelmed her doubt. She turned around and searched for a picture.

"This is my poor daughter."

"If you can help me find my daughter and kill those damned little demons, I am willing to marry my daughter to you."
