Chapter 066
After The Lizard ran away, Alex quickly bought Peter out of the sewers. He couldn't take him to his house, so he climbed up to one of the building rooftops he would go to when he wanted to be alone.
As usual, the rooftop had no one and they wouldn't be disturbed here.
Putting Peter down, he frowned.
'It's a miracle he's still breathing.'
Alex thought as he looked over at the unconscious Peter. His whole body was soaked and there were bloodstains on his costume.
Two terrible wounds were in his chest and blood was continuously leaking out of it. Aside from it, there was a bruise on his shoulder and head.
'I hope the potion is effective.'
He pulled out an elven potion from his inventory and opened it before pulling Peter's mask off completely. He directed the potion to his mouth and slowly made him drink it.
After a while, Peter suddenly coughed out some of the potion and slowly opened his eyes.
He made frantic movements for a while as he looked around, searching for traces of The Lizard. But he soon calmed down, realizing that he was safe now.
'These potions are the best!'
He took a glance at Peter's wound and smiled.
"How are you feeling now? You were barely alive when I saw you." Alex asked, helping Peter to raise his upper body.
"I don't know. I feel like I just drank a mixture of sand and dirt." Peter made a disgusted expression and Alex chuckled.
Although the elven potion was very effective, the taste was really bad. Actually, the potion he made Peter drink was a mid grade potion and the taste gets worse with each grade.
"It tastes like shit but it's kind of a… special medicine. Your wounds will heal soon. What happened with The Lizard in the sewers?" Alex asked and Peter fell into thought after hearing the question.
He sighed, thinking back to what had happened in the sewers. He had thought he could deal with Dr. Connors himself, but he failed badly.
If not for Alex, he would have surely died.
"I thought I could handle him, so I was waiting for him in the sewers… but he was stronger than I thought he would be. Way stronger." Peter said, biting his lips. Then, he hesitated a bit before saying. "There's one more thing. I found out who the Lizard is."
"Who?"
Alex asked, already knowing it but feigning ignorance.
"Dr. Curtis Connors."
"The scientist that's researching cross genetic mutation and the guy you are working for."
"Yeah… Wait! How do you know that?!"
Peter's shock voice rang out as he looked at Alex. He can't figure out how he knew that information. It was then that he realized that his mask was not on his face.
Touching his face, he gasped in frustration.
'My identity is revealed…'
Only Gwen Stacy, his girlfriend knew of his identity and he didn't want anyone else to know of it. Not even Uncle Ben and Aunt May.
But it still didn't explain everything. Even if Lycan knew his face, how did he know that he was working for Dr. Connors? He had only told that to his family, Gwen and…
"Who are you?"
Realising something, Peter raised his head up and stared at Alex.
Alex smiled and simply gave a mental command to his wolf pendant, his costume instantly disappeared and Peter's eyes looked like they were going to pop out.
"A-Alex!"
He stuttered as he took in the fact that his friend was the famous vigilante Lycan. For a moment, he even thought he was hallucinating but the reality was in front of him.
"I wanted to tell you about it but I didn't get the time and you were Spiderman? I thought I was the only one hiding things."
Alex said, mixing lies with truth. At this point, he was getting good at telling lies and the more he was lying, the better he was getting.
'It's easier for me if I reveal my identity to Peter.'
He thought inwardly.
The reason why he had revealed his identity to Peter was because he wanted to finish the events of the Amazing Spiderman before the original climax.
He had noticed it before on the bridge but The Lizard was more powerful than the movie version in this universe and he nearly killed Peter in the sewer fight.
Originally, Peter would have gotten out, but this time, nothing like that had happened.
In that case, waiting for the climax to end everything didn't make sense.
He wanted to end it earlier.
Otherwise, who knows, Lizard might even be successful in his plans and anyway, he didn't want Captain George Stacy to die.
'It's easier to make Peter trust me like this.'
Alex thought as he began explaining to Peter as to how exactly he became Lycan.

After coming out of the sewer water, The Lizard soon shrunk down in size. Green, rugged skin became soft and white again and Dr. Connors yet again lost his arm.
"Ahh!"
He took a gasp of breath as he returned to his human form.
His mutation was making him stronger but it has a time limit. He had yet to develop a way to permanently keep him in that state.
'Spiderman… I nearly killed him… but…'
He regretted in his mind as it was his best chance to kill Spiderman. If only that damn Lycan hadn't got in the way.
Shaking his head, he tried to calm himself down. At that moment, he suddenly noticed something on the side of the sewer line.
He picked it up and realised that it was a camera. Turning it, Dr. Connors suddenly realized that it was the camera that Spiderman had stuck on the wall.
It had a name labelled on it.
'Peter Parker.'
Son of his late friend, Richard Parker and currently his assistant.
'Spiderman.'
New York City vigilante and someone trying to stop his plan to turn humanity into a stronger species.
He slammed the camera on the ground, finally linking the both.
He clenched his fist, green veins appearing on his neck. Now that he knew who Spiderman was, Dr. Connors wasn't planning to let him live for long.
