Inside the building, Sara looked around in awe. Although she already had an idea of what to expect from the interior from the outside view, she was surprised to see that it exceeded her expectations. Among the various impressive things, some sculptures caught Sara's attention. She spent some time admiring them, trying to determine if they were really made of gold or not.
"Are these things really made of gold?" Sara thought, her blue eyes fixed on the completely golden sculpture of a horse.
Sara couldn't help but think about the value that just the hotel lobby represented. She seriously wondered how wealthy Prime was at that moment to consider living in such a hotel as if it were the most normal thing in the world.
"Sara?"
Prime's voice caught Sara's attention, making her turn towards him as he waited for her at the reception. Sara walked over to Prime somewhat reluctantly. It's worth noting that she wasn't particularly dressed for such a place. Her jeans, All Star sneakers, and white coat weren't exactly appropriate for a hotel of that caliber.
"Are you done looking around? I've already taken care of my things at the reception" Prime said with a playful smile on his face, which made Sara blush momentarily for being caught admiring the sculptures.
Without exchanging a word, Sara and Prime walked to the elevator. To Sara's surprise, Prime pressed the button for the top floor. Turning to him, who was looking at her with a smile, Sara asked.
"Are we going to live in the penthouse?" Sara inquired, her eyes widening in surprise.
Without answering the question, Prime simply nodded as he leaned against the elevator wall, watching Sara's reaction.
"I can't believe it, this is the most absurd thing I've heard since I was born, and mind you, I've heard a lot of crazy things in the alleys of New York!" exclaimed Sara, enthusiasm evident in her voice.
With a laugh, Sara and Prime quickly reached the top floor of the building. As the elevator door opened, they stepped out and headed to their destination. Arriving at the door, Prime provided the password to Sara, who was visibly nervous. Carefully, she began typing into the electronic lock. After a small beep, the door opened, leaving Sara with a smile on her face.
"I can't believe it actually opened" Sara remarked, her face a mix of happiness and disbelief.
"Aren't you going to come in? I thought you wanted to be the first to christen our new home" Prime commented beside Sara.
But Prime didn't even get a response. When he turned his gaze back to Sara, she had already disappeared. Confused, Prime looked around, finding nothing. He entered the apartment and began to walk through the living room. Although he could easily track Sara's location since his main body was within her, Prime opted for the traditional method of search.
"Sara!" Prime shouted, his voice echoing through the apartment.
After a few brief seconds, a door in the hallway opened, and Sara appeared, poking her head out with a smile on her face.
"Prime, the shower has hot water! Hot water!" exclaimed Sara, with a wide smile on her face.
After that, Sara went back inside, leaving Prime alone with his thoughts. He simply laughed at her words and headed towards the area where several windows provided a beautiful view outside. In the same space were also a couch and a television. Strictly speaking, that was the lobby of the place.
Prime just contemplated the horizon for a moment before directing his gaze downwards. Although he wasn't transformed, his vision was still infinitely superior to that of an ordinary human. As he watched the busy streets full of cars, Prime reflected on how his dream of living in a luxury apartment had finally come true, albeit not in his previous life.
Anyway, thanks to Prime's prior knowledge and his new brain capable of easily learning and thinking much more logically, he could easily close successful deals. At the moment, he just felt happy to be able to provide a new life for Sara.
This also reminded Prime of the recent events at Xavier Mansion. Far from being the only one, he witnessed that this new world he was in was severely dangerous. Prime, being a being from space, knew he wasn't the only one, much less the last, to come to Earth. However, faced with this, he wondered what more he could do besides training his powers.
Due to his lack of control, Prime became considerably stronger and acquired two new powers. However, one of them, which Prime decided to call for now "Living Abyss" left him fearful. Despite the suggestive name, Prime seemed capable of summoning it and controlling it, although the sensation was strangely comforting, as if that place was something he should remember.
This made him apprehensive. What the hell was this power and why did it evoke a feeling of nostalgia? So many answers, but no questions. For now, Prime decided to resort to another resource: the ability to acquire new symbiotes. However, he made sure that all the cells of these symbiotes would have a weakness to fire and sound, to avoid complications like those that occurred with his last "child".
Firstly, Prime needed new hosts. After all, these symbiotes certainly wouldn't survive outside, considering that Earth's oxygen is fatal to their species. However, Prime recently began to adapt to this and probably would be able to stay outside Sara's body for days or even months. The question is that Prime didn't understand why; his body just seemed to be adapting to the environment spontaneously.
"What are you thinking so seriously?" Sara asked, putting her face right in front of Prime's.
Absorbed in his thoughts, Prime didn't notice Sara's approach, who put her face in front of his. Looking at Sara, Prime thought he should tell her about this. After all, this was also closely related to Sara.
"I was just reflecting on the recent events" Prime commented, turning his gaze once again to the outside of the apartment. "We've had several fights, and for some reason, it seems like danger follows us as if we had a magnet for problems"
Sara listened to Prime silently until that moment, and as soon as she realized he had finished, she asked her question.
"Have you thought of something that could help us with that?"
Upon hearing Sara's words, Prime remained silent for a moment before nodding. He then proceeded with his explanation.
"I was considering creating more symbiotes, but this time in a way that doesn't make them... want to kill us afterward" Prime explained.
Hearing Prime's words, Sara put a playful smile on her face and commented.
"You mean creating children?" Sara asked with a playful tone.
"Well, I guess you could say that too" Prime replied with a pensive look and a smile on his lips.
"But we need hosts first, right? As far as I know, others like you would die if they breathed Earth's air. How exactly are we going to do this?" Sara inquired as she looked at Prime.
"Firstly, I want to start with small experiments. Of course, we'll need to adopt someone; luckily, I'm old enough for that. I'll create cells so that the symbiotes go into a state of hibernation for some time until they feel ready to be born. By then, they'll be learning from their hosts" Prime said, putting a smile on his face.
"In short, they'll essentially be an extension of their hosts, being 'good' if their hosts are also good people. That's why I want to adopt a still pure child, preferably someone who's facing a fatal illness" Prime explained.
Upon hearing Prime's words, Sara tilted her head to the side, showing confusion.
Confused, Sara asked. "Why does the child need to have an illness?"
Faced with Sara's question, Prime simply shrugged and looked away from the apartment, where the sun was probably already high, indicating that it was already past noon.
"There's no specific reason, just that I believe if we're going to do this, we might as well help someone who has lost their will to live along the way... You can just see it as a whim of mine" Prime said.
Upon hearing Prime's words, Sara smiled and let out a light laugh. She thought that doing something like this wasn't exactly Prime's style, but at the same time, it seemed totally in line with him.
