The king was still looking at the physicians like he hadn't seen them before and he shook his, thinking he might be dreaming or maybe sleep walking.

" Are you sure, this is amazing! Did I hear you say strange? How strange is this? My wife is pregnant and you..." He growled anger filling his tone and whole body but he paused when Esther grunted, her brows creased as a fresh volt of pain ran through her body. She turned to sleep on her side, looking for a better position to rest and the king came to sit beside her, he placed his hand on her head, his fingers brushed his hair and he kissed her forehead. Still looking at her, he smiled eventually turning into laugher, the physicians in the room also laughed along with the king.

"Make merry! Let's celebrate this day, the news of my wife having a child for the first time!!!!" The king exclaimed still laughing with his hands raised up, his ministers looked marveled. They thought queen Esther was barren, so what happened now?they also joined in the happiness of the royal family. "What!" Helena screamed, her whole body shivered, " no, no,no!!!!! She screamed again and her father came to hold her shoulders, pulling her from the floor and guided her to the couch. Tears running down her face and she looked disturbed and hopeless, "I- I don't understand" she sniffed and looked at her father, her make over ruined her face because of the tears. " I don't believe this father, I worked hard for this! I did it all for our family, for my child and now, now she's going to have a child? What would be left for me?? She asked and the tears came down again. " What of my son, he has to be king-" her words were cut short by her father's thunderous voice, " a king he will be! Helena, my child..... it's just pregnancy, get over it and think of what to do! She can't take anything away from you. You are stronger than her, I trained you well" he spoke raising a brow at her and she widened her eyes at the realization of what she was to do, this was foolish! How could she be crying instead of dealing with the situation. " What, what do you suggest then?" The man just smiled and smirked at his daughter....

Esther woke up in the middle of the vampire day, which was midnight for the humans of the night. She had slept two days, her eyes closed again when the light of the room shined on her. " Hmph!" She grunted and the king covered her eyes with his hands, " it's okay now, open your eyes" he said and she finally opened her deep green eyes which flickered red. Her eyes adjusted to the brightness of the room, " what happened?" She asked him and he smiled at her, shaking his head and he kissed her forehead. "You are okay, my love, that's all that matters. Am glad you are okay and our little one is too, you need to feed now! I want to see the fresh green of your eyes and not this one Esther " he said and help her sit up, her back supported with the fluffy pillows. She sighed and looked at the king serving her the meal, what happened? The last time she remembered, the king was flirting with Helena and she was pissed, she didn't want to talk to him so what was he doing here? Her expression turned sour and she looked at him. He left the food in front of her and she didn't touch it, still looking at him and he sighed, his hand went through his thick hair. " What was I supposed to do? You know Helena is out of it" that was true though, but she still glared at him and pushed the food away and tried to get up from the bed. He came to help her but she pushed him and her legs were useless, as if she hadn't walked for some days and she felt dizzy, her head spun around and she could feel her legs give up but a force from within forced them to stand still. Her eyes widened and she looked at her legs on the cold floor of her room, the king looked stunned as well he was about to catch her up but she suddenly gain something. She looked at him and he looked back at her, not knowing what to say, she concluded that it was part of the abilities she had and made her way to washroom, then her stomach hurt, she couldn't stand her feets anymore and she clutched her belly.

"Esther! What happened?" He went to her and helped her to the washroom, after doing the room thing he brought her out of the washroom carrying her in his arms with care and placed her on the bed. She curled on the bed not looking at the king, " you need to eat, please eat something and you can fight with me all you want, I won't stop you" he said and brought a glass full of warm blood. After taking in something the king tacked her in bed again without listening to her complains then a knock on the door made them look at the door, " queen Helena is entering, now!!" The announcer said loudly and the guards opened the door for her to enter the room. Esther looked shocked, Helena coming in her room, maybe she came to look for the king and she looked elsewhere not meeting her gaze to avoid her torment of taking her husband. " Greetings my king, queen Esther, I came to see how you were doing queen Esther?" She said with a smile, what? What has changed? Esther asked herself and smile to her rival, not reaching her eyes. " Am fine, queen Helena, the gods have been fair enough to keep me alive. What of you and prince Austin? She asked back and Helena's smile fell from her face, but she kept it cool and played along. " Well we are in our best as always, the king takes care of us well queen Esther, you are the one sick?" She said and the king looking at what was going on then came in. " Is your father gone?" He asked looking at Helena, she wanted to roll her eyes at the king but didn't, she was just going to give Esther a little of her but look! The king saved her. " He's with Austin, milord. I think he would be staying for a while" she responded and smiled lovely at him which he smiled back. Esther was boiling down and wanted to kick that witch away from the man she loved, for some strange reason, she wanted to fight for her husband, as if she had something to fight for. Helena had a son to fight for while she didn't! " Well then let him know that he's most welcomed to stay here as long as he wants" the king said and took a sip from the glass he was holding. " Queen Helena can you please send my apologies for not being able to visit the Duke, I would love to see him but-" her words were cut short by Helena when her voice turned annoyed. " Of course, queen Esther that's how it is, pregnancy is not easy and trust me, it is only going to get worst...." She said with a dark expression which turned into a smirk. Esther was damp folded, she looked at Helena with widened eyes, " well then I will leave you to rest then, queen Esther, your majesty, I will take my leave" she said with a smile and glanced at Esther before bowing at the king and left the room. " What did she mean, your majesty?" Esther asked and the king sighed, he wanted it to be a surprise for her but with Helena around nothing went the way they were supposed to. He stood up from the couch and walked to her and sat beside her, " I was going to tell you, but wanted it to be grand. We are having a child Esther, you are pregnant!" He said with a smile and his voice filled with happiness, one that she had never seen before. The king was happy she unknowingly touched her belly, which didn't look pregnant at all, what the hell was going on! Am going to have a child too? The gods have remembered me and her smiling turned to laughter which the king joined in a joyous laugher....
