ERWIN
I told Leo about my family a few days ago. I know he wanted to ask me about them for a long time. He surely felt it was unfair for me to know his family but he doesn't even know my parents' names. So, I told him only what he needs to know. What the world needs to know. I didn't tell him about what nobody knows. Not even the police. Those secrets should be locked inside that cramped apartment forever. Nobody should unfold them.
That day when I returned from my school, I saw my dad lying limply on the floor, unmoving. Blood was all over him. It was flowing so ceaselessly that the little living room was overflowing. A tall man was standing beside my dad's body, holding a fruit cutting knife. He appeared to be still in high spirits from the incident before, so he didn't notice another individual entering the apartment.
