Seniors Versus Juniors (2)

Mu Yue stops for some time to think of her battle plan. It was then she heard Cheng Boqin's voice.

"You never stop to think when your opponent is in front of you!" Cheng Boqin shouted as he dashed towards Mu Yue.

Cheng Boqin arrived too quickly so Mu Yue can only try to block with her sword while jumping away from him.

"As I said earlier, the battlefield is full of schemes! Never assume anything and never trust your opponent fully!" Cheng Boqin kept closing into Mu Yue.

Mu Yue was sweating from the intense fight. She was caught off guard and can't rest as Cheng Boqin was always following her.

She then threw her sword towards him. Cheng Boqin did not expect this so he stops to block the sword.

"Abandoning your weapon, not a wise decision." Cheng Boqin dashed again towards Mu Yue. He saw that Mu Yue was breathing raggedly and decided to try and end the fight.

"Ice Burst"

Cheng Boqin was hit by the spell and didn't have enough time to react. He was knocked back after getting hit by the full force of the spell.

"Ice Shard"

Mu Yue launched her spells as she finishes casting them. It only takes 3 seconds for each "Ice Shard" spell to be ready to launch.

Cheng Boqing was hit by the first spell, blocked the second one, and dodge the others.

"Hoh, I did not expect that!" Cheng Boqin muttered. He did take a lot of damage but it was easily blocked by his aura.

"Learned from you, senior! Schemes and all." Mu Yue replied. She was actually just acting to be tired.

"Indeed, you learn fast! As expected of the strongest of the juniors." Cheng Boqin complimented. Acting while in battle takes more skills than acting normally.

"I'm not the strongest senior. Xiao Yan is better than me, I don't even know the full extent of her power." Mu Yue said.

"It still makes you a strong contender! However, as I said, the battlefield is full of schemes. I won the fight." Cheng Boqin then pointed at Mu Yue.

Mu Yue looked behind her and saw a sword pointing at her head.

'When did he control his sword to here?'

It was then Mu Yue looked at Cheng Boqin and saw him holding her sword and not his.

"When did you do that senior?" Mu Yue asked. This was why she did not notice anything wrong. Cheng Boqin was still holding a sword and she did not think that it was a diversion, the talking, and stuff.

"The moment I got knocked back, I already thought of a plan. When your spell was currently blocking your vision, I threw my sword to the sky. Then I grabbed your sword while I got knocked back that's why I wasn't able to block the first "Ice Shard" spell that hit me. I then kept on talking to distract you." Cheng Boqin explained.

Mu Yue was amazed. Thinking of such a plan in just seconds was praiseworthy. "I really got defeated by a large margin. I learned a lot from this senior, thank you for the guidance."

"Continue learning and you will certainly surpass the current me in a short time." Cheng Boqin said while throwing Mu Yue's sword back at her. He also controlled his sword to land on his hand before sheathing it back.

"Victory goes to Cheng Boqin." Announced the principal.

Mu Yue went down the platform. "Senior Cheng Boqin really deserves being called the strongest."

"True, he is the most hard-working student in the school." Hui Yin said.

"What did he do to be called like that, senior sister?" Mu Yue asked because all cultivators are hard-working, but being titled the most of all the students has a story to tell.

"Do you know that he only has a red spirit root? He also was just the child of a concubine." Hui Yin mentioned.

This surprised Mu Yue. Starting for red spirit root but still becoming the strongest, no wonder he was called hard-working.

"His mother died because of schemes and was turned to someone less than a servant. Also getting a red spirit root made his family despise him more. If it was the others, such a thing would have made them give up."

"But not him, he instead was motivated by this and worked harder than anyone. He cultivated when he can, and read books as well as practice his skills if he cannot. He even once said, "I don't care if I am of the lowest. I will only have to persevere and become stronger than anyone. Prove the others and the heavens that such shackles will not stop me!"
