63 Seniors Versus Juniors (1)

The selections will have 10 solo combatants, a group of 5 for team battle, and one for each profession.

The school prioritizes teamwork over individual skills when choosing for the group for the team battle. Fortunately, it's common for strong students to have their own group so the members were chosen from the 10 solo combatants.

The selections only took two days but the principal wanted the seniors and juniors to bond with each other. It was actually not needed for the competition but there was no harm to doing so.

The juniors were currently with their seniors who were chosen from the selections. There were 13 chosen seniors to represent the school. 10 combatants and 3 auxiliary professions. This was because these 3 students focus more on their auxiliary rather than combat professions.

Xiao Yan was one of the rare cases where she was both the best at her professions. She could also be called a genius. Having a rich background as well as good talent will enable her to learn both at the same time even at the higher levels.

"Hey, why not have us, seniors, fight against the juniors in a group fight as well as 1v1s." A female senior enthusiastically suggested.

"Isn't that too unfair for our juniors, Hui Yin?" said a guy with a sword. This was the student that Mu Yue observed in the selections.

"Of course we would have an advantage, Jian Yun. However, the goal isn't winning but giving fighting experience. It's normal in the wild to fight someone stronger than you to survive." Hui Yin explained.

"True, it is best for them to experience this sooner." Another senior interjected.

Hui Yin then faced the principal and asked, "Is it fine to do it, principal?"

"Yes, it only provides benefit so why not?" The principal agreed. This way, Mu Yue, Xiao Yan, and the others would have an easier time when fighting the students of other schools.

"Great! Then who will go first?" Hui Yin asked.

"Who will go first? Of course, it will be the first ranks HAHAHA!" Jian Yun chuckled while taking a peek at the ranked one senior.

"Fine by me." A man with a sword stepped forward.

"I also agree." Mu Yue said.

The principal saw this and gathered their attention. "Good! You all follow me. Let us go towards the battle platforms."

The group of students followed and they arrived at the platforms where the selection happened. The other students saw this and decided to watch the battles.

"Mu Yue and Cheng Boqin, you two can go to the platforms now. Cheng Boqin, as the senior, you can only use spiritual energy to boost your body. Don't use any kind of technique even if it's just for movement." Reminded the principal. He might have allowed it if the seniors were only at the early steps of Foundation Establishment but these chosen ones were the strongest. They all have cultivations in the later steps.

"I understand, principal. Don't worry, this is only a spar and I know how to control myself." Cheng Boqin replied. His opponent was the principal's daughter. Nothing good will happen if he accidentally hurts her.

"Alright, the rules are simple. The battle will end if one of you gets drained of spiritual energy or the spiritual energy that covers your body disappears." The principal announced, he will be the referee for the fight so he could interrupt if he saw Mu Yue in danger.

"Reminder, this is a friendly spar." The principal emphasized.

"Let us have a good fight, Senior." Mu Yue said as she did a fist and palm salute.

"Same for me." Cheng Boqin replied as he does the same thing.

"Let the battle begin!" The principal shouted.

Mu Yue dashed forward while Cheng Boqin stood still.

"Rupture Slash"

Mu Yue did a sword technique for her opening attack. However, instead of dodging, Cheng Boqin blocks the attack with his sword.

"Hm... Your strike is heavy and shouldn't lose out to the other students in the early steps of Foundation Establishment. Impressive, considering that you are still at the 7th step of Qi Condensation." Cheng Boqin complimented.

Mu Yue jumps back to create a distance before replying, "Thanks for the compliment, Senior. Unfortunately, despite my attack being better than the others, you still took it head-on and didn't suffer any damage."

"Mu Yue, your strike did some damage as I needed to direct some spiritual energy to support my hands for blocking it. On the battlefield, not only do we rely on strength, but we also have to fake things and scheme to confuse the enemy."
