Louisanna vs. Tolgrath!

'It's different from the one I saw last time.'

That thought was running through Louisanna's mind continuously as she was staring at the guy in front of her. She was pertaining to Domhall.

The demon in front of her doesn't have the aura of having royal blood, or maybe, having the rank of an official. It looks like an ordinary demon who lost his way and accidentally came here.

The question was, how did he be able to come inside here? How did he enter through the place she created herself?

"Mom, care to explain this?" Louisanna turned her head to her mother who had her eyes widened while looking at the demon in front of them.

The demon in front of them was a different one.

Unable to speak, Dana's hands quivered in fear as she panted repeatedly in a rough way. As someone who wasn't any experience fighting demons in the field, it was overwhelming for her to see a demon beast that wanted to eat both of them alive.

Not to mention that it wasn't the ordinary demon she used to see in the past. Did they mutate after all these decades? Was that even possible for their race?

No matter how many questions she asked herself, none of these were answered.

Her inexperience in battles in the field wasn't helping her. She was a scared woman who won't even try to do something risky. She only did that once, and it suddenly became her family's downfall.

"What is this… thing?" Louisanna lost her patience waiting for her mother to answer her, so she asked the demon beast himself. "I mean, I know you're a demon, but what are you doing here?"

She would be fooling herself if she says that she wasn't afraid. Louisanna, although she acts brave in front of the demon beast, has her hands sweating as she hid it on her back.

Her hands were clutched, her breathing was ragged, and her knees felt trembling, especially when the demon beast answered her question with a smirk.

It was enough to send shivers down her spine.

'Is this the reason why mom told me earlier that I can't go back here anymore? That I can't do Lucid Dreaming or something that she calls it?' she asked that question at the back of her mind.

Maybe it was because of these demon intruders that intervenes with her sweet and gentle conversation with her mother. Thinking about that made her brows furrow as she felt the rage traveling onto her body.

How could they just come here in here without permission?

But, do demons need one?

"Disrespectful, my lady," the demon answered as his black and long nails went onto his lips, playing with it a bit. "As you can see, I am here because this is my property," he even added as he spits on the ground, trying to intimidate the two women.

'The old lady beside her was trembling in fear.' The demon's smirk widened as he felt the negative aura on her body.

It was something that makes him strong. It was like their food. He lives for the fear of people… and their eagerness to commit sin.

To be honest, he just wanted to rest on one of the dimensions for today, but he didn't expect that his food would come for him.

'But this one was different…' he added to his thoughts as his gaze landed on Louisanna. He can feel her fear, but he can't absorb it.

Like there's something protecting her from within.

Maybe it was her pure, white soul? He can see the aura of her heart clearly.

It wasn't tainted. A traveler with a pure soul suddenly appearing in front of her feels like a blessing… although the heavens giving blessings to a demon like him is a hundred percent impossible.

'Nice place they have here,' the demon added to his mind as he scanned the place. It was his first time

Without knowing that Louisanna created it herself. He can feel tremendous energy that made him annoyed, but he can't sense it from Louisanna whom he thought was just an ordinary traveler— Someone who can travel onto dimensions using their dreams.

He has the intellect to know that, unlike some of the demons he had a battle with.

"It's impossible," Louisanna confirmed his thoughts, but for a different reason. "This is my dream. How can this be yours?"

Confusion was evident in her voice.

"Because your soul is already mine." He smiled as he was already in front of Louisanna in one swift.

He announced that he'll claim her soul already as his smirk widened, showing his white yet crooked teeth. His hand traveled to Louisanna's chin, gently touching her skin using his long fingers.

In one second, his red eyes became darker as tons of black smoke started to release from his body, the same as the whole place was being filled with darkness.

She couldn't see the golden mansion she created earlier. At the back of her mind, it pissed her off, yet she was afraid at the same time. The demon in front of her doesn't look friendly like Domhall, after all.

Louisanna wanted to take one step away, but for some reason, she couldn't move her body. It was the same case for Dana who started to have ragged breathing because of a different kind of fear she couldn't explain.

"Deactivate."

The demon's deep voice echoed all over the place. In one second, all of the objects in the scene started to float and move in different directions.

Even the golden mansion started to crack as there were black rounded orbs surrounding the place.

Everything happened so fast to the point that Louisanna didn't notice that the golden mansion and the other trees in the scene started to disappear when a fire suddenly hit on it.

'It was like Domhall's power...' Louisanna's lips parted as she couldn't help but be amazed. 'But this guy wasn't a king.'

In the demon's single words, the whole place was already filled with darkness. However, Louisanna find it weird that she still could feel where the demon was standing.

She could hear her mother's ragged breathing behind her, too.

It feels like her senses increased dramatically because she was in danger. Even her body feels lighter like she could even fly although she just jumped.

Louisanna held onto her chest as she also felt how her heartbeat increased rapidly as her head started to hurt.

'Not now...' she begged at the back of her mind.

She closed her eyes a bit as she focused on what was happening in her surrounding. It would be useless to open her eyes if she couldn't see anything because of the darkness. She would use what is accessible to her: Her senses and agility.

As she tried to meditate in the middle of a dangerous situation, she saw a white rounded ball inside her mind.

It was like the light onto her core, trying to give her the power she needed at that time... but the question was, how she would use this light? What's the purpose of this one?

'This must be an illusion.'

"Mom..." Louisanna's brows furrowed as she heard her mother's thoughts.

She didn't know how she was able to do that. Some of her skills started to show even if she didn't know how she does that.

'It doesn't look like that. But I don't care.' Louisanna spoke like she was just having a normal conversation using her lips.

She just tried if her mother would hear her speak, too.

Dana, on the other hand, was shocked because Louisanna's voice echoed in her mind. She can't believe that her daughter can do telepathy even though she wasn't even aware of her power and her past.

However, while Dana was thinking about those thoughts, the demon had his eyes on her as he was confused and interested at the same time.

'It was only her soul. Her body was somewhere else.' He confirmed as the body she was using started to weaken. 'Is she in a comatose? Regardless, it makes her such easy prey.'

It was the first time the demon saw this kind of circumstance— A soul using a summoned body to stay in another dimension.

If she was doing this by just using her soul, she would have died because of demon beasts exploring this place, finding souls to eat.

'Perhaps, is it her doing?' the demon asked as his eyes narrowed, still looking at Dana. He was pertaining to the odd place and the golden mansion. 'Let's see.'

The demon's speed fastens in a second. He controlled her body as he immediately went in Dana's direction to eat her soul, but to his shock, Louisanna was already in front of her as she held onto his wrists tightly.

"I won't let you hurt my mother, demon beast," Louisanna whispered in almost an unrecognizable voice.

There was a white aura surrounding her, but to his surprise, there was also black smoke encircling her body.

Her eyes were intimidating as she gave him a deadly gaze, which was enough for the hairs on his spine go up.

Yet when he looked at her heart again, it was still pure.

"The name's Tolgrath, my lady," The demon— Tolgrath, introduced himself as he stomped his right foot, pushing himself one step back.

Louisanna's grip was painful for him. When he looked at his wrist, he noticed that there was a subtle burn scar on it.

"Nice to meet you, a traveler with a pure white soul. Should we have some fun?" Tolgrath smirked as he snapped his neck, ready to unleash his full potential if necessary.

Louisanna fixed the straps of her dress as she took one step forward toward the demon. The place was dark, but it feels like her eyes had a night vision.

She could see where Tolgrath was standing, the same as the dark energy surrounding him. She could also feel his bloodlust toward her mother.

There's no way she would let her mother get hurt, even though they were just in a dream.

"Bring it on, motherfucker."
