Let's Break Up

Su Yan walked up to the lady and tapped her on the shoulder, "Hello."

Su Yan walked out of the coffee shop and a sly smile passed over her lips. She turned around and waved goodbye to the woman behind her before stepping into her car.

'It's finally time.'

Lu Chenjun didn't get any work done and he spent the entire day staring blankly into space and laughing uncontrollably.

However, after lunch, he fell into a deep dilemma. . .

How was he going to tell Elena his true feelings? They were still bound by a contract. Lu Chenjun didn't want to continue dating through a contract. He was sick of his old ways.

Lu Chenjun dialed a number into the landline phone and said, "Come in."

Fang Shi knocked on the door twice before entering, "Hello, Mr. Lu."

"Fang Shi, I want you to book Zuanji Steakhouse tomorrow from 5 P.M. to 12 P.M."

Fang Shi was originally dazed and tired, but he immediately became alert.

"The entire restaurant? Seven hours?"

"Is there a problem?" Lu Chenjun asked with one eyebrow raised.

"No, there is no problem." Fang Shi looked down, silently calculating how much that would cost. To book the whole restaurant, one hour would already be about 100,000 yuan. If Mr. Lu books the whole restaurant for seven hours, that would be almost 700,000 yuan!

Fang Shi shook his head. Although he was Lu Chenjun's assistant, he also didn't know exactly how much money and property Lu Chenjun had. However, if Lu Chenjun was going to spend 700,000 yuan without a blink of his eye, he must be rich!

Fang Shi cleared his throat before asking, "May I ask what for?"

Lu Chenjun looked up with a sparkle in his eyes, "I am going to break up with Elena."

Fang Shi was shocked for a second but quickly recovered. Then why did Chu Hua get kicked out?

"Once I break up with her, the contract is automatically terminated. I want to date Yinghui without any rules in the middle. I will break up with her today, but tomorrow I will propose to her again."

Fang Shi forced out a smile and scratched his head. Why couldn't he understand Mr. Lu's train of thought? Was breaking up first a good idea?

"Listen carefully. I want you to order one of each entree on the menu and one of each dessert for tomorrow. Also -"

"Why do you need that much food?" Fang Shi blurted out.

Lu Chenjun's face darkened, "When did you start questioning my decisions?"

Fang Shi looked down, "I'm sorry."

"I don't know what Yinghui likes, so just get one of each. If there is leftover, you can eat the rest or just hand it out to some of the hard-working workers. Now, listen carefully and don't interrupt. I want you to buy a bouquet of 99 roses and give it to a waiter in the Zuanji Steakhouse. Tomorrow, I will give the waiter a cue for him to give it to me. Also, I want you to buy fireworks and play it at a location so it is visible from the Zuanji Steakhouse. I will text you to tell you when it is time to light them. Do you understand?"

Fang Shi nodded, "Yes, Mr. Lu."

Lu Chenjun's face broke into a smile at the thought of Elena becoming his girlfriend. He no longer felt any remorse towards Chu Hua whatsoever. He could now love freely, date the person he truly likes, and woo his girl just like any other man.

His smile grew wider so the corners of his mouth almost reached his ears.

Fang Shi shivered at this sight. He didn't know if he was supposed to be happy that his boss was finally smiling or scared of his boss's unusual expression.

Lu Chenjun looked towards Fang Shi and said, "Okay, today you can get off work early. I just want you to prepare everything today so it will be ready to go tomorrow night."

Fang Shi's face lit up and he quickly walked out of the room.

After Fang Shi was gone, Lu Chenjun pulled out his phone and texted Elena. He didn't want her to get suspicious so he tried to sound as serious as possible.

'Let's break up.'

Elena just finished up her lunch when she received a notification from her phone. She picked it up and frowned when she noticed it was from Lu Chenjun.

'Let's break up.' Elena wasn't surprised, but that didn't mean she wasn't sad. She walked over to the trash can and threw away the empty plastic container.

"Get ready, Scene 133!"

Elena quickly opened her phone and replied 'Ok' to Lu Chenjun before running out of the room with Mila.

Lu Chenjun read the message and the corners of his lips turned down.

'Ok'? That's it?

Lu Chenjun knew that their break-up was only fake and temporary, but couldn't she at least put some more emotion into her reply.

He clutched his phone tightly in his hand and a peculiar smile lingered for a moment on his face.

Lu Chenjun opened up his phone again and sent another message.

It was already past dinner time when Elena finished filming. She wrapped her arm around Mila's elbow as they walked out of the warehouse.

As they were leaving, the security guard stopped them.

"Hello, Miss Jin."

Elena smiled politely, "Hello. Is there a problem?"

"Earlier today, a woman came and said that she was your friend. However, she didn't have an entrance pass, so I didn't let her in. She left a while later with Miss Su."

Elena narrowed her eyes and thought about who it could be, "It was a woman?"

"Yes."

Elena raised one eyebrow and instinctively turned towards Mila, who shook her head.

"Thank you for letting me know. If she comes again, can you come in and notify me."

"Okay, goodbye Miss Jin."

Elena waved goodbye to the security guard and walked over to her car.

Mila tapped Elena on the shoulder and asked, "Are you still going to the Jinlu Complex tonight?"
