Elena's eyes widened and she used all her strength to push away Lu Chenjun's arms.
"Stop joking around," Elena said as she looked away.
"I'm not joking," Lu Chenjun draped the jacket over her shoulders again, "It is getting cold."
Elena gulped and looked away, "I won't be your girlfriend."
Lu Chenjun's face darkened and he rested both hands on either side of Elena's shoulders, "Why?"
"Bad experience," Elena responded.
Lu Chenjun's face fell and he lifted his hand up to gently brush away a strand of Elena's loose hair, "I'm sorry. Please give me another chance."
Elena took a step backward and turned around, "Goodbye, you should think about it more."
Lu Chenjun didn't stop her, but he smiled, 'Wait for me to prove myself.'

Fang Shi was happily munching on a bag of chips as he waited for Mr. Lu to send in the money.
Fang Shi burst into laughter at the idea of 2000 more yuan.
His phone started ringing next to him, and Fang Shi immediately picked it up after seeing that it was from Mr. Lu.
"Hello, Mr. Lu. How did your date go?"
Lu Chenjun's cold voice sounded, "Thanks to you, it went horribly."
Lu Chenjun's voice sent chills down Fang Shi's spine.
"Haha, Mr. Lu, what happened?"
"I listened to you and did the opposite of everything Yinghui said, and she got mad."
Fang Shi wanted to bang his head against a wall but he tried his best to keep calm, "Well, what did you do?"
"She said she wanted cold water, so I ordered hot water. She said she didn't like seafood, so I ordered seafood."
Fang Shi closed his eyes and silently prayed for his bonus, "Mr. Lu, that is not what I meant. You have to pay attention. If she is making a simple decision like water, then of course she is telling the truth."
Lu Chenjun stretched his neck and silently agreed with what Fang Shi was saying. However, his plan was still ruined by this stupid assistant of his.
"Your monthly bonus is all gone."
Fang Shi's eyes shot open and he quickly jumped up from the couch, "Why? No! Mr. Lu! Please!"
"You can earn it back if you give me actual good advice."
Fang Shi gravely nodded and said, "Okay."
Lu Chenjun hung up the phone and walked out of his office. He slowly made his way across the second floor and entered the second bedroom.
The room was bare, and it only had a bed, a table, and a nightstand. This was the room Elena stayed in the time she was here.
Lu Chenjun had Auntie Qin organize this room once a week so although the room was gloomy and empty, it was still clean.
Lu Chenjun sat down on the bed and thought about the days when he slept with Elena by his side. He had to get her back quickly. If she stays single for too long, she will attract too many guys. Then, Lu Chenjun would have more competitors!
Not that he was afraid. . .

It was the first day of filming, and Elena arrived at the filming location early in the morning.
She hadn't seen Lu Chenjun the past few days, but he never forgot to send her messages throughout the day.
Things like, 'Did you eat yet?', 'How was your day?', 'Good morning', 'Good night', and 'I love you'.
Elena never responded to these texts, but her mood always got better when she read them.
Since the film was a historical movie, the filming location was at a Chinese palace specifically built for filming crews.
Several famous dramas and movies were filmed here, and everything about this location was very realistic and similar to history.
Everyone was busy setting up at the first filming location, and Elena quickly located the director.
As she walked over, several workers greeted her politely, "Hello, Miss Jin."
She smiled as she stopped before the director and she said, "Hello, Director Liu. I am Jin Yinghui."
The director was a woman in her 20s, and she was already a well-established director in the entertainment industry. She was one of the youngest directors in the business.
"Hello, Yinghui," she said with a smile.
"You should go do your makeup and change. We are starting soon."
Elena nodded and waved her goodbye.
Director Liu's smile disappeared as Elena turned away.
'She's perfect for the character. Seductive and attractive.'
Elena finished her makeup and she was putting on her costume. The Chinese headwear was fancy, but also extremely heavy.
It weighed down on her and caused her head to hurt. The costume was also extremely extravagant, and the material was thick and uncomfortable. Elena didn't know how she was going to survive in this outfit for the next few months.
The worst part was the shoes. The heel was in the middle of the shoe, and it was difficult to keep her balance and walk elegantly.
Before filming, Elena practiced walking around in the shoes several times as she studied the script.
After about ten minutes, a worker walked over and informed Elena it was time to start filming.
The director first introduced herself and said a few words about the movie and the scene they were starting with.
"The Legend of Shu Yao, Scene 8, Take 1, Action!"
This scene only consisted of Elena, and it was when she first entered the palace.
This drama was a complete work of fiction, and it was about a girl named Shu Yao. The emperor fell in love with her when he saw her walking on the streets of a town. He ordered to bring her into the palace, but she refused as she already had someone she liked. As a result, the king murdered her entire family besides her and she had nowhere to go anymore.
The emperor asked her once more if she was willing to come, and she agreed. Shu Yao was going to take revenge for her family and her loved ones. She enters the palace as a concubine of low rank and begins slowly climbing up to the top.
The emperor likes her a lot and treats her better than any other concubine and even the empress. Of course, this attracts jealousy, but Shu Yao's intelligent mind and manipulative behavior are able to win against everyone's evil schemes.
Finally, she reaches the second-highest position and becomes the Imperial Noble Consort. She finds a way to kill the empress without leaving any evidence, and she rises to become the empress.
When she finds the perfect opportunity to kill the emperor, she realizes that she fell in love with him. The emperor wasn't stupid, and he knew about all of Shu Yao's evil deeds. However, he still has treated her well this entire time, and it was hard not to develop feelings for him.
In the end, Shu Yao kills herself and the movie ends.
The past year, this novel sold over 100 million copies worldwide in over five languages, and everyone assumed that the movie was going to sell just as well.
Elena passed the scene in one go, and they quickly moved on to the next scene.
From afar, Lu Chenjun smiled as he waited for Elena to finish her first three scenes.
