Chapter 106: Hidden Display Case

~ Now he backed up and walked around from my side view to pull the curtains over the balcony doors and large window. All while I stood there still as can be, barely even breathing. He then walked himself from around me and went down the hall to his living room. He took my breath away with him when he left.

It took me a second to gather myself as I combed my right fingertips through my roots sliding them to the back of my head. Then untangled my fingers out of my hair finally taking a deep breath.

The lights suddenly shut off in the rooms. So I crawled myself into bed shaking off this nervousness, I had with him. I laid here quivering from his touch. But I tried to erase him from my mind. Since I didn't understand why my body was responding to him like this. It was weird... weird enough that I rather not think about it.

Only my mind keeps drifting to him. Ok. So him toughing me was a bit nerve-wracking. I thought he was going to kiss me! I don't feel I am ready for that. As the matter of fact, I am not ready for any of this! I cannot believe what I am dealing with!

He confuses me so much. He's so scary at times yet he is so gentle with me. He took me off by a surprise when letting me spend his credits. And he even seemed surprised himself, that I only bought two things. Then it was weird he had me glued to his side when we headed back to the van. I mean what was that about? But then he eyed up my body like I am some kinda tasty treat to chew on! Oh, the nerve off this hybrid-man is insufferable! He is completely frustrating!

It's pretty obvious he's only thinking about the idea of mating with me. Ugh! I just need to get out of here before the wedding. I refuse to marry him! Hopefully, he meant it when he said that he won't touch until we are married. Therefore, I only need to get out of here before that happens. But for now, I am sorta glad Maria's idea kinda worked. I may not get my own room but I at least won't be sharing the same bed as him. At least, he's giving me some space.

After thinking more, my mind thought about Maria. I'll admit, I had a nice time with her shopping. In fact, it was fun being the first time I've gone shopping. I've never been shopping or out in my life. I'll admit today was a nice day.

Sigh... I will miss Maria deeply once I leave this place. She is my first real friend. I've never had any friends before. So I will always cherish my friendship with her. She will always stay in my memories forever. I told myself to ease that broken guilt away from inside me as I began to drift into a heavy sleep.

The next morning I woke up and sat myself up to notice the curtains were pulled back. That must be my sign Cory is awake, I guessed. And flopped my legs over the bedside to stand. I took two steps, sorta stretching my arms up above my head at an angle.

The bathroom door was open, so I went down the hall to see if he was in the living room but still discovered he wasn't in the room.

Well, I guess I'll just get my shower. I yawn, going back down the hallway. And head to my closet and grabbed some clothes. Suddenly, it dawned on my thoughts. Oh my gosh! I just remembered hiding the medical supplies in my boot! That I took from the first aid kit in the kitchen!

Without a second thought, I ran over to my boots! Still neatly arranged on the shoe shelves to the left side of my closet. And shoved my hand down into the one boot and felt the supplies were still there. I felt quite relieved while cupping the sticking glue and healing wipes into my palm. Maybe I can do this now and get it over with, I thought. All I needed to do was find something sharp.

So I searched through my stuff. Sadly, I couldn't find anything in my closet that was sharp enough and walked out with disappointment. That is until I did a bold move by looking over to Cory's closet and stepped lightly on my bare feet toward that way.

Seeing the button on the wall and without thinking, I pushed it. The hidden door opens to his closet. Without any hesitation, I stepped inside trying to find something sharp. Mostly all I found was just clothes, shoes, manly boots, and other useless things to me.

Disappointed again, I closed the closet and was about to walk away from the wall but saw another hidden button just near his closet. Curiosity took my eyes and of course, I pressed it. I felt like such a kid pushing random buttons, I humorously think to myself laughing.

The wall opened up vertically straight across from his bedside. Revealed a hidden display of weapons that were guns, bullets, sharp long samurai swords, and a bunch of sharp knives. Some of these weapons like the samurai swords are decorated in gold, gems, and writings carved into them, but it was written in a different type of language. It was all definitely made for a man but beautifully handcrafted.

My eyes about widen from shock. Seeing his hidden display case of weapons. As I skimmed my eyes around. Finally, I picked out a tiny pocket knife with a short blade, no bigger than your index finger. After taking it out of its black silk pocket and clicking the tiny latch for the blade to flick out. I examined it, making sure it was sharp by touching the tip with my pointer finger without cutting myself. Yep! This one will do. I just need to quickly get this done and take a shower.

I closed the hidden door to the weapons display case. Then grabbed my clothes and headed for the bathroom.
