Chapter 102: Laughter faded

~ "Hello Maria!" His lusting eyes pierced deeply through me. "Who is this pretty little friend of yours?" The man asked in this chilling flirty voice. His eyes seemed to lust over my body. For once I was glad Jay was here as he sorta stepped up.

"This pretty little friend is Cory's fiance." Jay said, "So if you wish to keep your face, I wouldn't flirt." His tone was joking yet truthful.

Quite frankly, I was shocked hearing Jay say this out loud to the man. But the five men laughed harder.

"Right you are, Jay! The same man said, "You're always keeping me in line." Now in a pleasant appearance and politeness, he looked at me, "I apologize Milady. And the new lady's name might be?"

"S-Sally," I said shakily.

In a semi-creepy yet flirty tone, this man said, "Well it's nice to meet you, Sally." He even gave me a flirty wink. As I practically lost my breath. This guy was something! I only managed to give him an awkward smile and walked around all five guys with Maria. I was more than glad to get away from them.

The five men let out this chuckle as the ladies walked passed them. Jay just looked at the guys shaking his head while smirking. He very well knew they were just messing around and enjoying it at that. They each amble back to the group from behind the ladies.

Sorta sudden, Maria walked up to her husband and punch his arm moderately hard. All the men were watching with enormous grins curling up to their ears.

"You so deserve that and you know it!" Maria asserted pointing her finger at him firmly. Her eyes were shimmering and her face was blushing. A smile formed on her reddish cheeks. I was quite surprised at her right now. John's eyes lit up as he gave this mischievous half-grin to her.

The men either sitting or standing around could no longer hold it in. They burst out laughing hysterically, which even included Cory from the bench.

Knowing full well what he did. John practically had to keep himself from falling to the ground from laughing the hardest.

Standing slantwise in front of John, Matt said joking. "John, first you tell your wife how beautiful she looks in her new dress. Before you try getting her undressed. Clothes come off easier if you compliment the ladies first."

Now Maria turned around and hit Matt in the arm full force. Nothing about her swing was held in.

Joking around with her, Matt said laughing "John, I think your wife broke my arm!" As he fakes holding his arm limp to act like it was broken. Making most of the guys and Maria burst into an uproar of laughter together.

"You guys are so childish!" Said Maria rolling her eyes while she couldn't contain her uncontrollable laughter.

Meanwhile, I stood here mind blown by how bold she was acting with the men. I was rather speechless by how hard she punched John and Matt, but it didn't faze them. They only burst out howling from how comical this is. I was kinda surprised, but I do need to take note that they are only playing around. I can see the guys do like to mess around a lot.

Considering how strong they are. I knew Matt and John could easily take Maria's hit. That wasn't much of a surprise to me. Since I've recently comprehended how strong these guys are. I knew from Cory's men handling me from my first encounter with them. I discovered they were unnaturally stronger compared to the average hybrid male. I've learned fast why Kingdom and Baron men are the most feared society around.

When Cory saved me from that attacker during the attack at the party. Somehow... I wasn't sure how but Cory managed to pick up that hybrid-man with one hand and flung his lifeless body away from me. Surely now I understood better the stories I've heard from the Businessmen Society. Weren't exaggerating the truth about the Kingdom men's strength.

As the laughing faded off I came out of my thoughts. Without smashing their baby, John wrap his arms around Maria and gave her a passionate kiss. Right in front of everyone watching. He didn't hold back his affection for her. I could tell John truly does cherish his wife.

As I swerved my eyes around I noticed the other men didn't even care that John was kissing his wife. I sorta crossed my eyes at Cory sitting on the bench with JJ beside him and this other man, not from their Kingdom. Pretty nervously, I make my direction over to him.

Since I needed to give him back his card. I pulled it out of my front pocket and handed it to him. All while I see his eyes veer downward at the polyester shopping bag around my wrist.

"Buy something nice?" Cory asked me while he took his card back.

"Yes," I answered. "A dress and necklace."

Sorta walking up behind me, Mike said kidding around. "She also bought me a pair of lovely earrings. Thank you, Cory, I'll cherish them forever."

Cory cracked up, "shut up, Mike!"

Mike only laughed at Cory for a brief moment with the others. Then I didn't fail to notice Cory's chuckle switched to this unprecedented expression.

"You only bought two things?" He furrowed an eyebrow asking.

I didn't understand why he had such a strange face. Was he expecting that I'd purchase more?

"I didn't see too much that took my interest. I've told you before that I'm not into material items. You know what I want." I bluntly told him.

He didn't seem too happy that I opined my thoughts in front of his allies and men. This may have been a daring move on my end but I was at the point, I have no care. I wanted out of this Kingdom. So I made sure to let him have it.
