Half an hour later of pure pain Allen found himself surrounded by wolves all guarding him. Despite being covered in sweat and dirt, the crocodile still in the river wouldn't let him wash off.
Looking at the waterfall Allen suddenly had an idea. If the world was so much like a game then does it mean that the classic behind the waterfall idea is true here? Without waiting any longer he ran to the waterfall and checked it several times.
After a few more minutes a wooden chest hidden right under the waterfall caught his eye. Ordering his troops to drink and check if there is a crocodile around. Allen ended up fighting three more crocodiles that all failed their attack against the fast moving wolves.

Despite his happiness about his cute wolves leveling up, the chest took precedence. After an hour of fighting Allen pulled out a wooden chest made of wood. Inside was a foggy glowing brown crystal that didn't look like the other crystals he obtained.
[Earth Stone -> Material]
[Note: Can be used to upgrade.]
Although he didn't know what it could upgrade he knew it would probably be important since from a worse-looking chest he obtained his cute wolves. Ordering the wolves to drag the bodies back to camp Allen quickly headed home hoping to use the crystal as fast as possible.
Arriving at the house he saw a fire pit being dug with a pile of firewood nearby. Elsewhere the hunter was working on a drill bow while explaining several things to two others who were preparing meat.
"Welcome back Lord!" Nodding his head he quickly rushed inside to check out if the crystal could upgrade his summoning circles.
Walking up to the Dire wolves summoning circle Allen pulled out the crystal and put it right next to it.
[Upgrade (Dire Wolf Summoning Circle) -> (Earth Wolf Summoning Circle)]
[Yes] [No]
Seeing it worked Allen decided to check if the other circle would have anything different. And if so will the house itself be able to be upgraded?
[Upgrade (Human Summoning Circle) -> (Human Dirt Mage Summoning Circle)]
[Yes] [No]
[Upgrade (Simple Wooden House) -> (Basic Stone House)]
[Yes] [No]
Seeing everything worked, Allen quickly made a decision to upgrade the Human summoning circle out of everything. The wooden house might become better for protection, but what if it loses the special ability to scare away wild animals? The Humans on the other hand, if they can control dirt then doesn't it mean that both farming and building will become easy? After all, if they can control dirt to build basic walls around the base then wouldn't that mean they have gained a lot of protection from the outside.
Of course, there is also the choice to upgrade the Dire Wolves summoning circle, but seeing the water crocs didn't really make that idea seem appealing. Mages are the start of a true fantasy civilization! With a bright flash of brown light the crystal fused into the Human summoning circle.
[Human Dirt Mage Summoning Circle (Upgradable) (Immobile)]
[Gathers Mana to summon 10 Human Dirt Mages every week]
[Recruits Available: 10]
[Recruit Requirements: 10 wood, 10 stone, 10 Iron]
[Upgrade Requirements: 1,000 wood, 1,000 Stone, 500 Iron]
[Special Effect: All units summoned will start as completely loyal.]
Excited by the new upgrades and the ability to recruit again, Allen realized he needed materials to summon this time. Knowing he probably didn't have enough materials, Allen knew many people on the forums were dying to get their hands on some food or water. Maybe some salt, but knowing you are starving means you will forget everything else and not focus on such things, but some richer people might have their minds on such items.
In the [Universal Trade Chat] there were all sorts of inflated prices of needs for food and all sorts of materials offered.
[50 Wood -> 5 Water]
[75 Wood -> 10 Food]
[50 Stone -> 1 Water]
[10 Raw Iron -> 5 Food]
The food and water that appeared quickly disappeared before the amount or price could be seen. Other sections were people selling all sorts of treasures to obtain any amount of food or water. Most of which were recognizable
[1 Fire Stone (material) -> 10 Water]
[1 Fine Iron Sword -> 5 Food]
[1 Plant Stone (material) -> 20 Food]
[1 Stone Axe -> 1 Food]
Having a minimum of two crocodiles to be able to sell without having to worry about food, Allen bought 1,000 units of both stone and wood. Most iron was in raw form, but without any way to smelt it, he could only search it more slowly to find only 500 in total.
Other than the material, he bought the Plant Stone and another Earth Stone to upgrade both the house and the wolves. After all, he is in a forest and since he is probably going to spend his future here he might as well make his main attacking force stronger in the forest.
Very quickly Allen summoned his new recruits. With a flash of light ten humans in brown robes appeared in front of him.

"For now go and help those outside. If they don't need any help, use the tools and your power to start cutting trees."
Sending the troops out of the house, Allen quickly took out the other two crystals he bought and started testing them against the two circles.
[Upgrade (Dire Wolf Summoning Circle) -> (Tree Wolf Summoning Circle)]
[Yes] [No]
[Upgrade (Human Dirt Mage Summoning Circle) -> (Human Stone Mage Summoning Circle)]
[Yes] [No]
[Upgrade (Human Dirt Mage Summoning Circle) -> (Human Forest Mage Summoning Circle)]
[Yes] [No]
[Upgrade (Simple Wooden House) -> (Basic Camouflaged House)]
[Yes] [No]
The only good sounding upgrades being the tree wolves as originally planned and forest mages or stone mages. Still having a basic house was his main concern since it might be the best form of safety and with so many people needing a place to stay a bigger house is better.
Stepping outside a large pile of resources filling up the cave stood out the most. Still, despite knowing he needed a warehouse built, he still turned to the house and upgraded it after a flash of light.
[Basic Stone House (Upgradable) (Immobile)]
[Upgrade requirements: 50 wood, 100 stone, 25 Iron]
[Note: Still has a day and a half to scare away wild animals.]
A beautiful cottage appeared very different from the shabby wooden house. Not stopping there he quickly upgraded it again.
[Stone House (Upgradable) (Immobile)]
[Upgrade requirements: 100 wood, 200 stone, 50 Iron]
[Note: Still has a day and a half to scare away wild animals.]
The house became nearly twice as large but about the same nice stone cottage in the woods. There were also several other windows instead of just one and a wooden floor. Stepping inside the two magic circles in a corner of the house. There was now an actual exit that doesn't lead to a cave being a backdoor leading to the forest. Allen planned to summon more wolves as soon as he could so he stepped back outside and upgraded the house once more.
[Upgraded Stone House (Upgradable) (Immobile)]
[Upgrade requirements: 100 wood, 200 stone, 50 Iron]
[Note: Still has a day and a half to scare away wild animals.]
The house became nicer and doubled in size again becoming more like a real home. The wooden door became a large metal door and the windows changed into much nicer decorated windows. Walking inside revealed there was an actual hall with four rooms making it look somewhat like a house.
Still, with one more stone in hand, he quickly walked to the Dire Wolf summoning circle and upgraded it without hesitation.
[Tree Wolf Summoning Circle (Upgradable) (Immobile)]
[Gathers Mana to summon 10 Tree Wolves every week]

[Upgrade Requirements: 5,000 wood, 5,000 Stone, 5,000 Iron]
[Special Effect: All units summoned will start as completely loyal.]
Quickly activating the circle ten green wolves appeared after a flash of light. The wolves were a little smaller than the Dire wolves while giving off a stronger presence. Once again they laid down and rolled over to show their belly to Allen. Smiling at the cute wolves he quickly ordered them to get up and follow him outside.

It would be a human grass mage if he found a plant stone first. Either way, it took me a long time to write everything in the right way.
Hope you enjoyed it!
