Axel stood at the window of his hotel room, gazing out at the sprawling city below. He had been in Yorknew City for several weeks now, and he was starting to feel like he had a connection with the place.
As he looked down at the busy streets, his phone rang. Axel hesitated for a moment before answering, not sure who it could be. When he saw that it was Navi calling, he felt a mix of relief and apprehension.
"Hey," Axel said, answering the call. "What's up?"
Navi's voice came through the phone, sounding tired and strained. "What are you doing,"
"Just chilling out."
Axel answered not giving any kind of a detail. It is odd that Navi to call himself this quick to just ask him "what he is doing."
Navi then added.
"I am calling you for the matter of extra payment."
"Okay," Axel said, his voice firm. "What do you need me to do?"
Navi chuckled from behind the phone.
"There is not much. The bank account you are using the same as always, am I right."
Axel answered still being little bit cold without any reason.
"Yes."
Navi let out a cold breath and then added.
"I will be sending you an extra one billion jenny, keep in mind that everybody got this extra one billion jenny from Ging Freecss."
Navi gave him the details of the situation, explaining that some time later, Ging believed that the mission was harder that it was first given to Navi and the deal was not nearly enough, even adding land reward for it. Not to mention one of the people, a nen user with intelligence gathering abilities is dead in the mission.
Ging believed that compensation should be increased and the land reward should continue to exist.
After they hung up, Axel sat down on the bed, lost in thought.
Despite the tragedy, he found some solace in the fact that Ging had paid them extra for the mission. He believed that it was a good gesture and showed that Ging cared about his team members.
To clear his mind even further, Axel decided to order dinner and a drink to his room. He wanted to relax and enjoy the comforts of the hotel after a long and arduous mission. As he waited for his food and drink to arrive, he gazed out the window at the sprawling city below. Despite the chaos and danger that often came with being a hunter, he couldn't help but feel a certain connection to Yorknew City. It was a place where he had made many memories and had many experiences, both good and bad.
After enjoying his dinner and drink, Axel felt his eyes growing heavy. He knew that it was time to get some rest after the exhausting mission and long day of travel. He decided to forgo using his Nen ability, Void, to fall asleep and instead simply closed his eyes and let himself drift off to sleep like a normal person.
As he lay in bed, he felt the tension in his body slowly dissipate and his mind become calm. He didn't have any dreams or nightmares, just a peaceful slumber. For once, he was grateful for the opportunity to sleep without any interruptions or disturbances
