With the sun was at its peak, a white-haired young man walked along the streets. With a stern and cold expression, the young man walked while looking at his phone.
He was Jonah Peterheart. An 18 years old male with sleek, white hair. With a clean, hairless face, his gentle blue eyes were only focused on his phone.
'If I managed to 3 star this attack, I'll reach the Global Top 200!' Jonah thought as he played Clash of Clans.
Just as he was about to deploy his first troop, everything around him disappeared. No more car noises, no more light, no more people. Nothing.
Instead, there was only black—only darkness. There was simply nothing present.
He didn't even know what he was standing on since there was still absolutely nothing when he looked down.
Containing his insane surprise within himself, he sat down on nothing.
Jonah was a calm and collected individual. Even in front of the most surprising and terrifying things, he would not falter. And this case was exactly the same.
He continued to wait for what felt like a couple of minutes, but since he couldn't tell the time there since his backpack, phone, headphones, and watch disappeared, it might have been years or seconds, who knows.
Just when he was getting up to look around this blackness, a gigantic white speck of light appeared in front of him. Gigantic was actually an understatement since this thing was easily millions of times bigger than Jonah, who was 6'2''.
"God?" Jonah voiced his doubt.
"An avatar of myself, yes." The speck of light replied with its ethereal voice.
"Pleasure to meet you, Sir. May I know why everything disappeared?" If someone were to hear that Jonah was talking to the one and only GOD like this, they would surely die from shock.
Even in the face of the all-mighty, the all-powerful, the creator of all and everything, he was calm. It really didn't make any sense at all.
"Nothing disappeared, Jonah. You were translocated here." Said God.
"Oh. Why?" Jonah casually asked.
"Because I want to ask you a question. Would you like to be truly omnipotent?"
'What?' Jonah thought.
"Can you elaborate?" He replied.
"I've existed for a long time, Jonah. Too long. I'm above concepts such as time, death, life, and all of that, but I'm tired. I'm tired of everything. I've existed for so long that I don't care about anything anymore. Not even my creations. So what I'm asking is, would you like to take my place?" It's expected that God would get tired after some time after all...
"I understand. But, if I take your place, then I'll also be bored." Jonah argued.
"After some time, yes. Just to put into perspective, I've existed for 891.001.941.511.123.765.910.793.244.000.893.911.950.114.010 of what you call years. After this much time, it's a given that I've become bored. You, on the other hand, have only existed for 18 years. I guarantee that boredom will only come after you pass the decillions stage." Explained God.
"Makes sense. 2 last questions then; Why me? And which number of God are you? Since you've proposed me this, I can imagine that someone else proposed the same thing to you. So, which iteration of the All-Mighty are you?"
"It was random; you were just the one chosen. Actually, it wasn't random since I already knew that you'd be picked because I know everything. Just know that it was almost random. And that's a unique conclusion that you have arrived at. I'm God number 29."
"Interesting. Wait, you said you've existed for that many years, and the universe is only 13.8 billion years old. Were there universes that existed before mine? Jonah asked.
"Yes. Countless universes existed before the one you were born in. I myself have only created 132.991 universes. Compared to the Gods before me, that's nothing. The second one created 491.991.588.042.801.000 universes, for instance. He's still the record holder." God replied.
"Damn, that's bizarre. Oh well, at least I was born into one of them, so I don't have anything to complain about." Jonah said, "I'd like to accept your offer then, God. Thank you for choosing me."
"Perfect! I'll give you all of my power, do what you want to do with it, I don't care." The avatar of light that God was using then entered Jonah's body, and as it left from the other side, it was gradually becoming smaller. Eventually, it disappeared within the infinite nothingness.
God had given everything to Jonah. Literally everything. Being omnipotent means being able to do anything. Want to make infinity have an end? Snap your fingers, mate. Want to destroy an entire multiverse? You can do it with a fart. Want to give creation a fresh start? One thought, and it's done. It's that simple.
Realizing that he was actually all-powerful, Jonah finally gave in to his real emotions and yelled.
Jonah wasn't calm at all, no no, he was terrified. It just seemed that he was calm since he had shat his pants as soon as the overly massive light appeared.
He simply couldn't move and show any emotions at all because first: God was in front of him, and second: He just shat his fucking pants.
Jonah was a bit socially anxious. He had some trouble conveying his real thoughts to people. He just put on a serious and calm exterior because that was the only thing he could do to save himself from extreme embarrassment. His parents were the only people he could act normally with and express himself properly.
Right now, he felt like he could do anything. He wasn't wrong. The first thing he did was removing the disgusting shat pants he was wearing and giving himself a good smell. He then created casual black jeans and was done with them. He just needed to think about doing something, and it was done. It also helped that he gave himself complete control over his omnipotence.
One thing that happened when he became omnipotent was that his physical body was gone. Instead, it was replaced by a weird mass of existence.
Noticing what had happened, Jonah re-created his body and took control of it. This whole process didn't even take a second.
Realizing that being omnipotent was actually really easy, he teleported himself back to the spot that he disappeared at and at the exact same time.
Now, he would help the most important people in his life. His parents. Amanda Peterheart and Jake Peterheart. The lovely, kind, and perfect parents that he had.
Jonah felt only love for them. Before, he couldn't properly thank them for everything they had done for him. For giving him life, raising him, helping him whenever he needed, and for being there with him through every step of his life. But now, things were different. He could literally do ANYTHING.
Walking home since he had the urge to walk there and not just appear at his home, he soon arrived at the small little house that the 3 of them lived in.
Even though his parents didn't have that much money, they used every last dime they had to send their son to a good school and raise him with everything he could ever need. They were truly perfect in Jonah's eyes.
Opening the door with his key, he was greeted by his cheery mother. She was a beautiful woman even as she got older. Standing at a normal 5'4'', she had gorgeous, long black hair along with a pair of hazelnut eyes. Her attire at the moment consisted of a simple black shirt with an apron and light blue jeans. Amanda was 55 years old this year but could easily pass as being a 30 year old. Yeah, she doesn't age...
Hugging her dear son as soon as he entered through the door, she greeted him.
"I missed you, son. How was school?" She kindly asked.
Smiling at his mother, he replied. "It was good, mom. And I missed you too. Can you please call dad and go to the living room? I have something to tell you both."
Surprised and worried about what he had to tell them, Amanda hurriedly went to call Jonah's father as both went to the living room to hear what their son had to say.
Soon, both arrived. Beside Amanda was a tall, highly-muscled man. He was Jake, Jonah's father.
Jake was 51 years old and stood at a tall 6'5''. His blond, spiked hair combined with his sky blue eyes really made him a good-looking man. He was a construction worker and a personal trainer at a nearby gym, so naturally, he was a buffed dude. He was wearing a big military green shirt and camo shorts as he walked into the room.
Seeing his son, he also went and gave him a bear hug. Even though he was a massive guy, he was really soft on the inside. He loved his family with everything he had.
Ending their small greeting, Jake asked, "So, what's up, son? Your mother told me you have something to tell us."
"Yeah. Sit down, please. This will probably be shocking." Jonah advised them as he planned to tell and show them that he is omnipotent. He wasn't going to hide this fact from the most important people in his life.
Getting even more worried, his mother sat down on the couch behind them while dragging Jake.
"Okay. I know that everything that I'll say now will sound crazy and impossible, but just wait a moment because I'll prove it to you." Jonah stopped to add some drama to the revelation. "I am OMNIPOTENT!" He continued with his arms open as if he was a God. Well...
...
...
...
"W-W-What?" His mother nervously broke the silence.
"It just as you both heard it. I am omnipotent. I can do anything. I can create entire universes with a thought! I can do anything!" Jonah was getting more and more excited as time passed and the truth dawned upon him.
"What do you mean, son?" Jake inquired.
Of course, both Amanda and Jake didn't believe Jonah. They easily trusted in their son with their lives, but this seemed a little far-fetched to be true.
"I know that you don't believe me, so I'll show you. Just look." Jonah then proceeded to open the palm of his hands and created a water bottle there.
Stunned by this event, both Amanda and Jake thought they were dreaming, so Jonah interrupted their thoughts. "No, this is not a dream. You are not crazy, delusional, insane, drunk, high, mad, demented, or anything of the sort. This is reality."
He then created fire on his other hand, then earth, then water, then a fucking television.
"See?" He simply said as he continued to create things all over the place.
In seconds, their small living room was filled with televisions, snacks, water bottles, computers, watches, and even a FUCKING DEER. Jonah created a DEER in his living room. It was just there, vibing.
His parents' brains had stopped working. They seemed too shocked to understand what was happening in front of them.
"Mom? Dad?" Jonah awoke them from their stupor.
Now fully believing their son, Amanda started to fire questions.
"How? What? Since when? A DEER?" His mother asked one question after the other.
"GOD?" His father said before instantly standing up.
"No. Well, yes. But no. Actually, yes!" Jonah quickly cleared up the misunderstanding with more confusion.
Once again, Jake's brain stopped functioning.
"Okay, listen." Said Jonah as he continued to tell them everything that happened when he met God and all of that. He left the part where he shat his pants out, though.
Attentively listening, both of his parents' eyes were filled with tears as he finished. They were feeling too many emotions now. Pride, happiness, surprise, and most of all, love.
"MY LITTLE BABY IS GOD!" Amanda yelled with all of her heart. It seemed that she was too proud of her son to think of the neighbors that might complain from the noise.
They all had a family hug after the story, one filled with all the love they could muster.
After a few long minutes explaining his powers in detail, they fully understood. Their son was actually God right now. The one that millions or billions of people pray to every day. The miracle worker. The Lord. He was it now.
Breaking their hug, Jonah started speaking. "So, due to me being omnipotent now, I want to repay you for all that you've done for me. For giving up on your dreams to raise me, for never giving up on me, for loving me, and for being my parents. I know that there's no way to express my gratitude to you both properly, but I'll try. Say anything that you want, and I'll make it happen. Nothing's off the table."
Filled with even more love for their son, his father replied, "We didn't give up on our dreams son, we exchanged our dreams for yours. You don't need to thanks us for anything. That's what parents are supposed to do. When they have a child, they start to live for their child and not for themselves. The only thing we want is for you to be happy. We don't need anything."
Jonah started to cry as soon as his dad started speaking. He was an emotionless bastard to everyone, but with his family, he was the softest guy there is.
Hugging them both again, Amanda and Jake started to cry their eyes out along with Jonah.
[A/N: I know a lot of you will think that Jonah becoming God is forced. And yeah, it is. A LOT. If you don't like it, don't read it. That simple.]
