The female lead

The thing about being catapulted into a new life - or at least have a new life chosen for you - is you may as well be dead.  It forces you to become someone you are not and taken all your freedom for you.

In her case, she doesn't have a choice. Ji Lin was offered as a payment in full for a massive debt her father couldn't pay. All her freedom and rights stripped away, to live a life as a servant to a master for the rest of her life.

Such is cruel fate.

She was once rich, daddy's princess, she went to private school with nanny to boot. Now, she tore the stained sheets off her master's bed. The waft of sex filled the air making her stomach lurch.

Ji Lin ripped the pillow cases next and toss the pillows to the floor, moving around to the other side of the bed, finding a stray jewel in the mattress, it's a chandelier earing made of gold and ruby. Ji Lin picked it up and based on the glint on the metal, she determined it's made of cheap gold barely worth a few hundred yuans. She saw it dangling on Sarah's ears last night. She new it was cheap but the woman who wore it made it look expensive none the less.

Ji Lin placed it on Li Jun's dresser where a handsome pearl necklace had been displayed. She saw it, and she was captivated by the beauty of it. That necklace, Ji Lin knew was expensive.

"It's pretty isn't it?" Came Li Jun's husky voice, he spoke so low in his bedroom, that it almost sounded like a whisper.

Ji Lin glanced over and met his stare, he walks out of his closet tightening the sleeve on his wrist. Li Jun wore black slacks and white collar shirt. His usual attire. He wore the combination so much almost like a uniform.

"It is." She answered. The pearl twinkled at her, she knew right then and there she wanted to try it on. "Was it your dead wife's?"

Li Jun nodded, he knew Ji Lin had admired the pearl each time she came up to his room to clean. He stalked towards her picking up the necklace off display. "Move your hair out of the way. I'd like to see how it looks on you."

She did so obediently.

Li Jun guided the necklace to her neck, letting it settle nicely on her skin. "What do you think?" He said whirring her to the mirror.

"It's pretty." She answered admiringly, picking up a bead and rolling it on her fingers.

Li Jun watched her for a few seconds and noticed the soft shape of her slender neck, her beautiful collar bone, her lips, her sharpening features, everything. Li Jun pulled his gaze away, aware of her presence all of a sudden, forcing a step away just so he can keep himself in check.

Now, it all made sense. Shin's fascination with her. Li Jun had never really given himself a chance to stop and look at her before. She was just a child then, but now she's a woman and he had  never noticed it til now.
