Legend Of A Sword

Look, we're gonna skip most of the before reincarnation stuff alright? Adrian, the Mc gets reincarnated into 'The World' or Solsticia, and goes on an adventure. He becomes a host for the system, meets new people, and although slowly, will become a legend throughout the planes. Please note that the synopsis is not the full story. Please actually read first before rating this story...Thank you! *** Also I'm using this as a mere practice novel right now to improve on some of my skills. There will be grammar errors, plotholes, and details that I will be missing. This novel will have a crap ton of plotholes. This novel will be used for a decent amount of time before I drop it unless you all think it becomes good enough for me to keep going.

Sensing that Adrian was awake, Alice was also woken up due to their [Soul Bond]. Going into their individual modern-like bathrooms, they cleaned themselves and wore their uniforms, and put on their masks.

Coming out of their dorms, they hid their presence when they found a crowd coming to the coliseum. Seeing that they all had their red uniforms on, they knew that this was the time for registering for the tests today.

Going to the back of the line, they gave the guards their ID cards before going into the coliseum for their test. They saw a small group of students and a few professors and a few orbs on the table, which was most likely the items used for testing one's magic affinity.

There was one problem though. For the combat test, the professor makes the student come into a room for their test so he couldn't study their moves at all. Though it was good for the privacy of the students when they have their class tournament.

Adrian and Alice were looking around for the average attributes but were quite surprised at the attribute difference between the students. The weaker people all had at least 1,000 points per attribute, the average students had at least 2,600 points per attribute while the few of the strongest students all had at least 5,000 points per attribute.

Seeing how some of the students were around Alice's level, she would be able to go all out without any worries. Looking at the results for magic affinity and aptitude, the color change of the orb determines your magic affinity while the brightness of the color determines how much potential you have with it.

Buying his own 2 magic orbs for 400 Sp, he gave one to Alice while using the system to make them invisible to compare the results of them and the students. Alice's potential with her divine affinities was much brighter than any of the students, so to keep themselves out of trouble, Adrian told her to suppress it to the level of some of the top students.

Testing his own affinity, due to the fact he didn't use his full nature affinity, but only a part of it, his shone in a bright yellow and green, around top 7 out of everyone. Using his control over his body, he weakened himself to a little over 6,200 points per attribute, barely stronger than Alice with his new overall stats. The problem was that he'll have to fake some damage as his health and mana are even better than some professors, which could make him suspicious to everyone else.

Doing all of this, Adrian convinced Alice that instead of standing out and making trouble for themselves, they could just be within the top 10 students, plus it'll be good to hide their abilities in case something goes wrong. He also told Alice that because of the fact they aren't 'The Best', they won't be watched over as much and would have more freedom so they could gain strength in secret slightly easier.

"Alright, alright. You convinced me." Alice shooed him away.

"Good, don't worry, even if I fail to control my powers, you at least could actually fight at your full power." Adrian gave Alice a thumbs up and smiled.

Seeing the students were slowly all leaving, the duo knew it was time to do down for their own test. Being one of the last few students, they were noticed by other people, though they ignored them as they were also commoners and didn't want to cause unnecessary trouble.

"Student Alice, please come to the orb for your magic affinity and aptitude test." The floating disc said as if it were a speaker.

Getting up from her seat, Alice walked down the aisle down and arrived at the platform in the middle of the coliseum. She placed her hands on the transparent orb before it started to glow a bright red, yellow, and green, surprising everyone as people with three affinities or more are usually in a century geniuses!

'Oh...Fuck...by their expression, she's probably a rare genius. There goes half of my plans.' Adrian's eyes twitched a bit as he thought about the troubles coming to him.

'Oops...sorry Adrian, looks like I really do have to go all out now...' Alice showed a bitter smile as she walked to the large portal, teleporting her to a large arena.

"Please begin when you are ready..." The professor in front of her said.

The middle-aged professor had a white lab coat with the Orutorth badge on him. Other than that, he had round black glasses, brown hair, and an expectant smile as he saw her magic aptitude & affinity results.

Seeing that the professor had no openings, she quickly threw her daggers quickly and drew her sword, waiting for him to move. What she didn't expect was that he appeared in front of her immediately when she had her eyes on him the entire time.

Instinctively reacting, she swung her sword skillfully before using her [Lumination] to blind him. Seeing him with his eyes already closed, she summoned her fox fires around her to trail the professor to corner him.

Using her wind magic, she was able to control the flow of the foxfire and turned it into a small cage before appearing in front of the professor and swinging her sword down before she felt pressure on her stomach to make her fly back to the edge of the room.

Panting, she stood back up before glaring at the professor as she needed to fight with people stronger than her so her adaptation could grow. Seeing him disappear again, she quickly swung her sword to the right where he appeared, slightly shocking the professor as he knew he was faster than her.

'Was she holding back? Or was she adapting to my movements that quickly?' The professor was ordered to not use any more than 10% of his real power on students, so even he felt some pressure fighting this student.

Using [Mana Bond] to sense the movements the professor was making, Adrian knew that he might as well go all out as it wasn't the tournament yet. 'Though I can't inspect him as he isn't in my sight, his speed is incredible...but he's most likely holding back.' Adrian was analyzing the movements of the professor from the impacts and wounds Alice had received.

Seeing how he was being stared at by the other students as he was very intently staring at the portal, Adrian closed his eyes and focused on the orb in the middle of the platform instead. Because of how he didn't pay attention to the names on the disc speaker, he forgot almost all of their names.

Seeing that another portal was freed up, another announcement came. "Student Adrian, please come to the orb for your magic affinity and aptitude test."

'Looks like I'm finally up....'
