Kella was still on the way to the source of the sound. "Still haven't seen anything besides trees and grass."
Kella's mind wandered as she walked. 'Is that hologram thing just gone? I Want to see it again.'
'Well, anything besides trees really...' Kella glanced around at the repetitive scenery.
'What, is it voice-activated or something, what was it called?' Kella felt like the name was on the tip of her tongue.
"Oh, it was Status." It reappeared in front of her as the words left her mouth, Pleasantly surprising her.
Kella tilted her head looking at the screen in front of her. 'It came back because I said it? Nice.'
As Kella looked at the screen questions popped into her mind. 'Is it solid or is it like a mirage?'
Kella then started to prob the window. her finger went through the screen with no resistance. "Nothing... Will tapping something on it do anything then?"
Kella then tapped VIT making a smaller screen in the window.

Vitality shows how hardy a creature is and its resistance to dying.
>Increases how durable and how fast you can heal naturally.
>Improves chances of resisting being cursed or poisoned.
+×+×+
Kella's thoughts raced as she stared at the description. 'Resistance to dying huh.'
Kella tapped some more Pieces of text but only worked with the stats and skills. "I'll look at the skills first."

Usually acquired by beings with sharp, brittle claws.
Claws are vital to many monsters so some developed a way to regrow them for when they break.
>Claws slowly but constantly grow back.
>Use mana to regrow claws at a much faster rate.
>Claws get stronger as proficiency increases.

"How strong are my claws?" Kella looked at descriptions while walking then stopped in front of a tree.
"Man these are big." Now that Kella was less focused on walking properly she realized the trees were so big in diameter she couldn't even wrap her arms around them.
Kella looked at the end of her fingers which more resembled claws than nails now. "I wonder how much it would hurt to break them and how long it takes to regrow?"
'I should find out now rather than when I'm getting attacked.' Kella closed her eyes then raised her hand and swiped at the tree with locked fingers.
Kella braced for the pain but it never came. opening her eyes she saw 5 shallow but long gashes marking the tree. "That's the only thing here and my claw cut through it effortlessly... great."
Kella looked at her hand which looked completely fine with interest in her eyes. "I can't test what happens when my na- claws break right now."
"Is it just that the trees are soft?" Kella mumbled as she used a claw to scratch the tree, she couldn't tell if the tree was soft or her claws were just that sharp.
*Slop... Slosh*
Kella's head snapped to the sound as she backed up and fell, not used to backing up while her heels were not touching the ground.
"Got a bit too distracted there." Kella got up as she heard steps that were followed by a sloshing.
"Where is it?" Kella looked around and realized that whatever was approaching her was hidden behind the trees in the way of whatever she was going to.
"Who's there?" Kella called out to see if it was a person but got no response and the sloshing steps got closer.
Kella was about to about back up further when She saw the source of the noise. "A wolf. But what's wrong with it?"
What resembled a blue-furred wolf that was as tall as her but its unsteady steps betrayed its illusion as its paws and legs compressed its way to show there were no bones in its legs. 'Is it made out of slime?'
'Is it aggressive?' Kella just stood there for 15 seconds looking at it and nothing, it stopped moving after it made eye contact with her.
"I should just go around it." Kella started to go around keeping her eyes set on it as she did so.
Its legs compressed even more than uncompressed leading it to pounce at Kella with an open maw showing a neon blue insides and see-through teeth. 'What is that?!'
Kella clumsily rolled out of the way in time for it to swish passed her. "Ok, not friendly!"
*Splat* Kella watched in interest and panic as what she thought was a boneless wolf splatted into the ground turning into a puddle only for it to slowly reform into its wolf shape. 'Is it actually made out of slime!?'
The wolf tried to pounce at Kella again but was slow in its wind up letting Kella get out of the way with little difficulty. 'I need to know how to get rid of these things'
'so how do I get rid of it.' She looked at her claws. then saw the wolf start compressing its legs again and got ready to Dodge again but had a different thought.
As it pounced again Kella sidestepped it and slashed it with her claws.
When Kella's claws connected, the wolf's skin split open and gushed a neon blue slime-like substance. 'What the...'
The slime that leaked out looked like it tried to go back into the body some successfully going back in and some failed, falling to the ground and stopped moving.
The wound closed soon after but the wolf was noticeably smaller.
"Good, that seemed to work." Kella went on the offensive and started hacking at it with her claws before it could pounce again and soon, it turned into a puddle but didn't reform. Just then a window popped up.

"Slime wolf huh, I don't think we're in Kansas anymore Toto." Kella looked at the puddles on the ground.
"Well, that wasn't too bad at least there was only one." *Slop* *Slop* Kella turned around to see 2 rabbits with the same traits as the wolf had letting her know they weren't rabbits.
"Just had to say it but on the bright side they are about half the size as the wolf." Kella looked around to check for more but didn't see any.
"I should probably take the initiative this time." Kella pounced at one of the slimes and slashed it 3 times with her claws and got the slime all over her hands but the slime dissipated into the grass before it knew what happened.
"They aren't Ah... Why do my hands hurt?" Kella looked down and saw that the slime on her hands and claws were bubbling and causing her skin and claws to melt.
'The slime is acidic?!' Kella flicked her hands rapidly to get the slime off.
Kella felt something heading towards her and jumped to the side and rolled. "What was that?"
*Splat* Kella looked back to where she was and saw that the rabbit was reforming there. "That was close. How did I... oh yeah that skill said something like that."
"Let's get rid of this thing first before thinking about it." Kella ran at the rabbit and slashed it.
Kella stared at the point she sliced. "That's bad."
Kella's claws weren't sharp enough to pierce the rabbit skin anymore because of the acid eating away at them. "Well...Do you think we can stop for a bit?"
The rabbit jumped at Kella but missed. *Splat* "Nope, ok... Claw Growth?"
Kella hoped the skill would activate like a game but nothing happened. *Splat* 'I can use mana to grow it faster but how!?'
Kella dodged the slime rabbit pounces while trying to figure out how to regrow her claws.
Luckily the slime rabbit was repetitive in its attacks and easily dodgeable for Kella.
'It said I have mana.' Kella's mind raced as she tried to think of how to use or at least find the mana. *Splat*
'Maybe I have to move it with my imagination or something.' Kella tried to imagine a blue liquid moving to her claws from her head but she felt nothing.
'Shit, maybe I can use a conduit for the mana to travel?' Kella then tried to imagine her blood as Mana and felt something leave her heart. *Splat*
"This feels disgusting but this is most likely mana." Kella felt something similar to a small worm squirm through a artery towards her left hand. *Splat*
The mana flowed into her claws but the change was barely noticeable. "More? Alright, should be easier now."
'Mana might just be stored in my heart.' Kella tried again and felt a solid stream of mana coming from her heart.
"Well it doesn't feel that bad but why is this exhausting." Kella had to put her entire mind to properly move the mana.
*Splat* "What? Dammit!" Kella got too focused on moving mana that she forgot to dodge.
The slime rabbit hit her abdomen, losing shape and covering her shirt in the area. 'I need to hurry up before it gets to my skin!'
Kella's mind rushed the mana to her claws but it was slow. "Just a bit-haaaa more."
The slime melted ate through the lower part of her shirt and started to slowly eat her skin. 'Few more seconds.'
Kella Felt the mana finally reach the claws in her left hand and they grew in 3 seconds in those seconds She was put through excruciating pain. 'Can't stop now.'
Kella felt her adrenaline kick in as she slashed the slime which spattered all over her making the burning spread all over. "I should have expected this."
Kella struggled to get the slime off because of its gelatinous nature and took so long that the acid part of the slim faded leaving her stomach to her waist drenched in inactive slime. "God it stings."
*Slop* Kella turned her head to see another wolf in the way of the sound again. "You know what wolfy?"
"I'm done with this, I'll be back to get you. " Kella Ran as fast as her mind could handle her new limbs.
Kella glanced back and saw she was much faster than the slime wolf. "Let's go further to be safe
Kella ran for a solid 15 minutes before she ran into a wall of trees. "Oh, of course. I should be safe for now."
*Ding-Ding-Ding* Kella turned her attention to the screen in front of her. 'Why did it wait until now?'

"I guess some windows are combined with each other. A Mythology? Nevermind I don't care right now." Kella felt her adrenaline fade and the pain become even worse as she slumped down against the wall of trees.
Kella looked down and inspected her wound. "Oh... did I run like this?"
The skin on Kella's abdomen is almost gone and you can see organs underneath the fat and the blood vessels leaking blood underneath the slayer of slime coating everything. "Is the slime stopping me from completely bleeding out? Maybe the new skill can do something about... This."
Kella was about to rip her pants but stopped. "The slime is doing that already and probably better than these thin and dirty rags."
*Ding-Ding-Ding*

"Wait their actual people? And their assholes to boot. Status" Kella felt annoyed at the so-called Myths.

"30 percent? I need to find something close to this." Kella pressed the skill she just got but got blocked by messages.
+×+×+
+×+×+
Kella glanced through the messages before dismissing them. "I'm aware Myth."
+×+×+
A skill given to those who have taken their first step in becoming a wielder of mana.
Mana is capable of anything so many learn to use it to their advantage but only half can go further than this.
>Allows a small amount of control over the mana in your body.
>The amount and speed of mana you can use is reflected in your proficiency.
+×+×+
Kella read through the text as she felt herself starting to get tired. "Nothing... Wait, if mana can do anything then shouldn't it help?"
Kella moved some mana to the wound but the mana just seeped into some of the slime making whatever it touched disappear letting more blood out. "Shit!"
Kella put pressure on the spot leaking blood to slow it down and saw that her heath stat went down to 24%. "Should I just try to let it heal itself?" *Ding*
+×+×+
+×+×+
Kella read the advice as she was getting lightheaded. "Yeah, your right, I don't think I'll wake up if I sleep now. Should I be more precise?"
Kella didn't wait for a response and tried to hold her mana in the artery next to the wound making it glow. "Wait, light?"
Kella noticed her blood start to glow underneath her hand. "That's good right?"
Kella got her confirmation as that glowing blood then repaired some of the blood vessels that were bleeding. "Maybe it needs to be mixed with something?" *Ding*
+×+×+
+×+×+
"Let's try deliberately mixing it with blood then." Not caring for what the Myth said Kella pulled more mana and tried to push mana into blood.
The effects felt slow to Kella but her blood vessels grew back first letting her remove her hand with no bleeding. "Finally."
"I can sleep after this." Kella fought off the wave of drowsiness that hit her and continued mixing blood and mana.
Kella watched as the fat thinned out to cover whatever organ was visible. "To think this is happening."
Skin grew over the wound like it never happened amd Kella rubbed the spot stunned. "Wow mana is helpful." *Ding Ding*

[Why did you do it?] 'Do what?'
"I was running down the sidewalk through my neighborhood." 'Why am I running?'
"I glanced at my phone and saw was getting closer hoping I was just being paranoid." 'Paranoid about what?'
[What happened next?]
"I reached the spot and saw my mom's phone on the ground." 'No.. Not this.'
[Where was she?]
"..." 'Stop.'

"Stop!" Kella shot up screaming.
Kella looked around and saw the familiar scenery of bare trees and flat grass. "Haaa."
"Damn it..." Kella covered her face with her hands and took a deep breath. *Ding*
