Sota's heart raced, his eyes never leaving the ball as it arced toward its intended receiver.
But before the ball could reach its destination, Kazuma leaped into the air, his body stretching out impossibly far. His fingers brushed the leather, and with a final push, he knocked it off course.
The ball tumbled to the ground, incomplete. It's thud felt and sounded louder than usual as the play was stopped.
"Kazuma!" Kaminari let out a scream as he rushed towards Kazuma, giving him a huge pat on the back. The others followed suit, celebrating as the play had been killed.
Seiryuu's side of the stadium erupted once more, the defense celebrating the critical stop. Fujisato's offense, meanwhile, looked rattled, their confidence shaken.
