Rice Island’s War #5

Jester patted Alfred on his shoulder as he stepped out from the cover confidently as he threw two daggers up into the air as he juggled them. "Let me show you something fun!"

A series of complicated and tricky movements followed with his hands as he caught his daggers in each hand and threw one forward towards a person in the crowd.

Alfred showed a look of confusion. "Isn't this just the same thing?"

However Jester did not stop as his next movement followed as he swiped his dagger in a line sideways and with his other hand he turned it towards the dagger and said. "Snatch!"

A flying wind blade formed from his attack which flew towards the crowd who had started to close the distance while another one followed behind it after Jester retrieved his dagger.

As he continued to juggle and use his snatch in between his flying wind blades, he stole the weapons nearby and added them to what was in the air or to what was thrown by him in between releasing flying wind blades.

Many of his attack patterns became unpredictable the more the variety of weapons increased and the damage done by the flying wind blades increased depending on the weapon used.

Alfred sighed. "He has been keeping himself busy."

Alfred then joined in to assist Jester so that he did not get surrounded and captured so many enemies were cut up by flying wind blades, pierced by throwing weapons or larger weapons that were thrown or they just cut up by Jester after they had gotten within range of his daggers as he switched back to both of his daggers again while evading any type of attack before counterattacking.

The remaining people were either captured by Alfred and thrown from the wall or were beaten up by him but more just kept on coming up the stairs due to the chaos they had created.

Even some of Jester's attacks had signs that his weapons were coated in Armament Haki when he faced off against people that wore tough armour or had stronger bodies.

They had not caught the attention of many people within the walls before many explosions were heard from closer to the other corner where Sunila was on the other side of the wall as they explosions started to get much closer.

While Alfred and Jester attracted the attention of the many people on one side, Sunila infiltrated the other and made her way towards the gate and destroyed the means of holding the gate shut securely and preventing anyone from breaking in.

Alfred showed a smirk as he recalled the battle plans. 'Everything is coming together, to be honest I thought that we could do this with just a small group but that would be too wasteful. What we need is to experience a proper battle and learn from it. We cannot just power through everything like we have in many situations.'

As the explosions went off nearby, Jester started laughing comically. "Aha aha ahaa ahahaha! It has been done!"

Many types of ball shaped objects appeared in his hands as he stretched he hands towards the box outside the wall. "Snatch!"

A variety of different effects followed as some had a fuse lit before he juggled them and tossed them below him inside the walls where the enemy was while some did not have any kind of mechanism.

A couple released a simple burst of smoke or powder upon making contact with the ground or a person which caused people to become weak or disoriented while the others set off a small explosion or released a colourful smoke as the contents inside the ball was ignited.

Many of the enemies were helpless in the face of the many things that they had to deal with so many of the weaker people were unable to stand after a while after being affected by what they had breathed in.

Some of the other round things turned out to be shiruken type Pop Green and upon being released from his hand as he threw them, they cut up anything in their path.

Jester stretched out his hands and two masks appeared in his hands as he handed one over to Alfred. "Time to cause some more trouble!"

They both placed the gas masks on their faces and walked down the stairs as they dealt with anyone they came across.

Jester's use of his acrobatics and Observaton Haki allowed him to stroll among the gas and smoke as he passed by many enemies that were struggling to find their way or struggling to even stand up.

Each time he passed by, his daggers would cut or stab them as he quietly continued forward and Alfred bumped into many others due to his inability to use Observation Haki.

Even without that ability, Alfred could confidently walk forward without fear of being injured as they started clearing the area of the enemies and started making their way towards the wall nearby that would be one of the ones that would be used for the enemies escape.

Alfred and Jester continued to cause trouble for the enemy within the walls as they attracted a lot of attention to themselves and defeated many enemies one after another.

After a while it was difficult to count the humber of lives that they had ended, anyone that still had the will to fight would be killed right away while a lucky few surrendered after realising how useless their struggle was.

Not everyone in the walls could be considered a bad person but in times of war, even the most innocent looking individual could not be overlooked by Alfred and Jester because many were still loyal to the Lawless King and were carrying out their duties.

Two sides were opposing each other and it was difficult to show mercy unless the enemy was thoroughly subdued and no longer able to resist or become a danger to their allies.

While they both tried not to cause an absolute massacre inside the walls, some of it could not be helped since they were the invaders and enemies of those people who followed the Lawless King who had ordered the attack on the Sunken Castle and triggered the war in the first place.
