Moving from Baldimore

While Alyssia was busy taking care of her two children, training the two new sea creatures and taking them out to sea, the ship was nearing completion after many ship builders put most of their time and effort into it.

As it was reaching completion, many things were starting to be moved over and installed around the ship or within the research room below the deck so many things were being disassembled from the laboratory within Baldimore.

Alyssia and Alfred were discussing plans for a place to set up a new temporary laboratory so they could move most of the other projects and equipment along with her science team away from Baldimore.

Although the laboratory would remain as it was and the main business deal with those who remained was still valid, most that followed Alyssia would be involved in the more important projects and research while those that remained would be mainly working as they had been before.

However those that remained had to keep up with the overall production of goods to provide funds for their research and for the improvement of Baldimore while those that followed would follow Alyssia and remain a permanent member of the Creation Union.

Dr Tsukimi was given the right to handle and monitor the activities within the laboratory after she had left since most of the main founders were following along with her including Ein.

Since Dr Tsukimi had a couple more years left and was still enthusiastic enough to help, she did not deny him as he took up that role and since Enel was no longer a problem, there should not be an accident leading to an early death for him unless he was just plain unlucky.

After some negotiations, Alfred was able to purchase a previously abandoned castle which could easily be converted into a new and temporary laboratory once everything was moved.

The island itself had a low population of humans and human civilisation as the humans, plants and beasts seemed to have rebuilt on the ruins of an old country but many tougher structures remained intact.

While the stone castle was the perfect place to keep secrets hidden within, had big walls around it and had an underground space beneath it, there was danger for those that purchased it because of the state of the island.

The previous owners were tired of keeping up the stronghold and wasting resources fighting the many tribes and beasts on the island so they had sold their deed on the black market upon escaping the island.

Since they had left it, it was the new owners responsibility to take it back from those that occupied it and defend it.

There were also other tribes, families or a much larger community on the island that occupied a small town or city sized stronghold or a lone castle or building of their own but when the humans were not united against other threats, they would start wars with each other so everyone had their work cut out for them.

Then there was the problem with pirates that visited and those that settled there who forcefully took land or strongholds from others by force and turned part of the island into a lawless zone as they caused trouble to the original residents of the island.

While preparing for everything to be moved, Alyssia made the trip there first along with Ness and Ghost.

The rest of the crew were tasked with a special mission that had great importance to Alyssia and her research but also the expansion of her mercenary group.

Somewhere within the Grand Line, The Straw Hat Pirates met a pirate group named the Foxy Pirates that had many types of different races and abilities.

The Foxy Pirates had constantly been splitting up many pirate, exploration, merchant or even marine crews as they started the Davy Back Fight and the crew had a bounty of at least twenty four million berries.

After being defeated, many had defected from the crew and one their own way as a couple of them still remained by Foxy's side.

Among the Groggy Monsters of the crew, Big Pan and Groggy were both scouted and samples had been taken from them which helped Alyssia gain samples from those with half a giant bloodline and a man of a large build suited for tackling.

Many types of human tribes, Fishmen, animal people and some devil fruit users among them were successfully recruited and some samples had been acquired whether it be a small drop of blood or a piece of hair.

Alyssia continued her journey on the back of Ness along with Ghost who kept close to her and let herself be used as a seat, pillow or bed to help Alyssia relax a little.

In front of her was the view of many types of stone fortresses, buildings and castles but most of the architecture was slightly worn down and damaged.

Trees and vines grew all around the stone buildings and walls in front of her as if they had been returned to nature but she did not look the least bit displeased or disappointed upon viewing the sight before her since it was quite secluded even if it was quite a rough area.

The heat was not as bad as Alabasta but she could tell that the overall layout and weather conditions would be just enough to make a Mink uncomfortable because of their weakness to strong heat.

However Alyssia did not mind it as she wished to build up her resistance in a hot environment.

As she stepped onto the island, she stepped onto the shallow water around island and spoke. "Ness, you can go play or keep yourself busy underwater but come back if Ghost comes to find you."

Ness may be an excellent mount for her but she was better on the sea rather than land and Ghost was an excellent tracker so there were no problems with Ness suddenly going too far away and getting lost or trying to escape since she had made them both obedient and Ghost could find Ness and lead her back to Alyssia after picking up on their scent or trail.
