Stop running away

Higanbana immobilized Gabi from escaping her grasp by twisting his arm to prevent him from crawling away from her. Seeing this brings back memories of what she kept deep buried inside her mind. For a long time, she hasn't felt this thrilling sensation of seeing a person underneath her faltering in their movements but still trying to break free from her murderous tendencies.

Higanbana pov

(He needs to mature because, in the long run, he will realize that this world is cruel. But I need to control my strength even though this little nuisance deserves it. However, after this he probably will understand how serious I am and not mess around.)

Higanbana walks up to the unpleasant scene that's displayed in front of her. She sees the deformed boy plead for help with the little breath he has left to beg his master to save him. She fondles his hair with an amusing look that's revealed on her face. She began healing his shattered bone back to brand new but while she was healing him her heart was contradicting her decision. She wanted him to suffer more, she wanted him to know his place, and she wanted to show her power to him to let him know he would always be inferior to her but she decided to not let her desires win over her logical mindset.

" I expect you to do what you've been told to do, " Higanbana reminds the boy about his responsibilities.

Gabimaru didn't want to get on her bad side again so he just nodded at her and began to walk away to start his training. He's been prolonging it ever since he got there. The further he was walking his small body figure soon faded away in Higanbana's vision.

(I need you to take this seriously Gabimaru because what's in store for us is going to blow your mind.)

Gabi pov

Gabimaru has been carefully wandering around the frightening forest until his movements come to a halt when he hears a blood-curdling cry to the far right of him. Gabimaru rushed to the direction where he heard the wailing noise. when he finally arrived at the site he didn't see the culprit but he witnessed a middle-aged man pinned down by a huge lumps of spiderwebs. Gabi went to the wounded man.

" Are you okay?" Gabi was worried about him

The middle-aged man was weeping while holding his lower abdomen. Gabi can see how petrified the man was to the point he couldn't speak. Gabimaru tries to examine the man's body but he smacks his hand away.

"D..don't. Just Run ..away " the man lightly but strainly spoke out.

Soon the entire forest was enclosed by a soothing melody from the biwa that came out of nowhere. Then there were ominous dark clouds gathering above him. Gabi was looking around his surroundings because he could feel something was going to happen leaving his focus off the man. The man who was imprisoned in the strong webs gave an eldritch screech that caught Gabi's attention from the sky. An eerie black color took over the man's abdomen becoming swelling like something from within wanting to escape from his body. The incapacitated man started to scream in agony while his stomach grew bigger in seconds. Gabi fell backward when the man's belly burst out causing blood to splatter everywhere including all over Gabi's face. Shortly after, a large amount of black baby spiders came rushing out of the man's belly. Gabi was too stunned to move from his position trying to process what was going on, not knowing an unknown being was standing right behind him enjoying the show.

" It's dangerous out here." the mystery voice grabs the scared boy's attention. Gabi swiftly turns his head back to see the person and blows away when he sees an exquisite individual right before his eyes. She was wearing a red kimono while having her luscious black hair flowing down her body reaching past her bottom. She was slightly strumming the biwa giving Gabi worrisome eyes. His troublesome mind was slowly soothing his nerves away. The gentle being was coming in close contact with the boy and started to sing. Gabi thought an angel finally come to rescue him from his suffering. But it was the complete opposite.

The spiders that came out from the unknown man's belly earlier laced Gabi's body up with super sticky webs without him knowing that it was impossible to get away from. While the beautiful creature was singing the deeper the trance was for the boy. In Gabimaru's head, he felt like it was heaven but in reality, he was still in hell about to be devoured by a shapeshifter creature. When she stopped singing that's when Gabi's mind came back from fantasy. He knew something was not right at all when he didn't see the prepossessing individual from earlier that's now become a hybrid with the bottom being spider legs and the top being a human.

"Time for my meal," the abomination beast opened her wide jaws showing her outrageous mouth that showed him her hideous cariosity teeth with the smell of her vile breath. She was one centimeter away, almost consuming the boy until a nakiri bōchō was thrown directly at the Jorōgumo mouth, destroying her front teeth.

" That boy belongs to me, I've been tracking him down to kill," The Kappa came out of the trees and proceeded to throw two dangers at his opponent.

The Jorōgumo went into defense mode and had her spider army attack the kappa. " Tsk, don't get in my way you slimy fish, " Jorōgumo charged after him when the kappa was too occupied stomping on the spiders but then jumped 10 meters in the air having the jorōgumo run into the enormous bark having the tree fall in the middle of the forest causing a loud disturbance.

Gabi watches the two creatures fighting each other trying to claim his life as the victory.

( Is my life nothing but a sick game to everyone? )

Gabi was in deep thought and his mind had been taken over by his past. He thought about how his family abandoned him off the jump. He thought about Ms. Bushida's reaction when he activated his power and how scared she was of him. He thought about what his mother said to him in her last moments and finally, he remembered what Higanbana said.

" How the hell would you get strong when all you do is run away?"

( Yes, I always run away from my problems and never try to get past them.)

"Didn't it feel good when you demonstrated your power on your mother?"

( It's sad to say but I indeed enjoyed killing her.)

Gabimaru began bitterly chuckling at himself because he thought it was pathetic to always take the high road every time he got screwed over. Now he's in a situation where he's trapped in. He looked at the two blood-lusting creatures and thought.

( I'm tired of being toyed around.)

Gabimaru's anger was building up to the point his presence alone was sending bloodthirsty signals to everyone within his reach causing the two beings to put a stop to their battle and having all the crows fly away from the area. Gabi's eyes started to change red while his strength was increasing to rip off the web that was stuck on him. He got off the web trap and looked in front of him with a sinister smirk taking over his face.

" How about I kill both of you so I can be the true victor in this battle? " Gabi cracked his neck and bolted to the kappa and seized his cleaver and did a surprise blow onto the Kappa's neck to decapitate him. When the kappa's head was on its way to falling onto the ground, Gabi quickly snatched it and thrust forcefully toward the Jorōgumo face before she could react to it. To not lose this fight Gabi rushed to the Jorōgumo when she fell onto the ground ripped off two of her legs and lunged it into her eyes making her shriek in terror.

" It's time for you to be part of me, you revolting critter," Gabi whispers in her ears while jabbing his hand into her chest to squeeze her heart with all his might to take away her life.
