"Book of Wisdom," Lireesa muttered. Her eyes scanned the floating book full of golden brilliance. It seemed this was an item she brought along into this world.
"I don't know much detail about it." A voice beside came into her ears. It was Lireesa II's. "There was a voice inside which warned me not to hurt you back at that time and the aura came from the same existence in front. You seem to be protected by this divine being."
"Let's ignore trying to find out the identity. What does this book do?" Lireesa asked for further descriptions as she was amazed after hearing it from her predecessor.
"As the name suggests, this book is formed through some kind of law. When you breakthrough into Legend, it delivered me some introductions." Lireesa II paused reorganizing her words to simplify her explanation. "It's related to the law of wisdom and as the description suggests, it meant omniscience. Any knowledge just by touching this book, you can search for it. I know, it's hard to believe but this is its main function."
Lireesa had her mouth open and she was elated afterward. This was a charcoal given in the winter for the current Lireesa who thirsted for more knowledge. Her ambition for enchanted equipment, creating a new profession, and her business empire, a dream she had in a previous life, could all be realized.
This wasn't just a cheat; it was a godsend opportunity. She didn't know which deity helped her but she gave a bow in silence. Afterward, she contemplated for a moment and discovered there was also a famous deity back on Earth. She upheld the same godhood and was renowned in Greek mythology—Athena, Goddess of Wisdom and War.
Lireesa shook her head and denied this possibility. There was no way she was related to this goddess. Not to mention, she wasn't even a Greek. Well, not sure if a small portion of the gene wasn't included.
What would come will come? There was no need to delve further. Her strength was still weak at this point; one day when she had sufficient strength, she would be able to find the mystery of her transmigration.
"And to be honest, I'm really jealous of you. Based on this 'Book of Wisdom', you could automatically become a Demigod and God in this world after more than 300 years." Lireesa II said in an envious tone and there wasn't a slight moment of greed from her.
This was indeed a surprise for Lireesa. She could lay down like a salted fish and achieve Godhood systematically. Of course, Lireesa never sank into the sea of laziness because what could this cheat do? Before becoming a Demigod, she was most likely buried under the soil after 300 years because Azeroth was never once peaceful after 200 years. Without reaching Demigod, her Legend might be slapped to death by various enemies.
Uncountable wars, numerous conspiracies, chessboard under big bosses. Lireesa gave a middle finger toward Lireesa II's enviousness. Although Lireesa drooled at the benefits given by her cheats, she lamented its uselessness apart from knowledge.
Perhaps Lireesa's expression was too obvious, her identical clone beside was pissed and slapped at the back of the head.
"Ouch! What's that for?" Lireesa groaned from the pain and it wasn't light.
"What's with your disgusted face? Do you know how many strived for your opportunities but didn't go well and stride toward evil path?" Lireesa's shoulder tensed from the harsh scolding and felt she was back in front of her parents. "You're too lucky and you should cherish it. At least you find the pathway to strive for rather than being lost after reaching the Legend realm."
"But I'm not wrong, it's really no use. If the timeline is within a hundred years, I'll be hopping up and down nonstop." Lireesa said while shrugging to express her innocence. "I'm sure Azeroth will produce many Demigods by then. So, this one is a chicken rib."
Even though Lireesa said in annoyance, she must nod her head at the 'Book of Wisdom's' usefulness. It alleviated her pressure and many ideas could be implemented. This contribution by her cheats couldn't be denied.
However, Lireesa II beside her didn't insist on arguing because the words were the truth. She who had read Lireesa's previous life memories knew what the future trend was. Orcs and humans even produced Demigods. Jaina Proudmoore was one and Thrall was another, despite being the weakest among Demigods. Lireesa could already be GG at the moment her time for Demigod arrived.
'The Book of Wisdom' wasn't the only thing that attracted both of their attention. There was a colossal gate behind the book artifact. It was huge as if the door was for Titan race.
Around 150 meters tall, and 20 meters wide. Ancient runes and decorations embedded in the thick silver metal door. A large heavy metal gate indeed. Lireesa even doubted if her strength could even push the heavy-looking door.
Looking at the magnificence in front of her eyes, Lireesa had a hard time swallowing and was speechless for a very long time. But she wasn't embarrassed as Lireesa II beside her also had the same expression. Both of them only saw this gigantic gate after gliding near the book. The book's golden brilliance shrouded the existence behind and only after a closer look, the gate came into their vision.
Both drew a long breath as they looked upward slowly until the top although there was air inside the soul realm. Strangely, they couldn't fly upward as if a prohibition was set up and must walk ahead. As their feet touched an invisible floor, a ripple echoed and a large silver metal land emerged.
A gravitational pull appeared, making them feel like being on real land. They strode toward their destination without a word while their eyes were curious at the grand wonder. Enthralled by the treasure in front, Lireesa tried to knock over the door but her hands were stopped.
"Don't touch anything if you aren't sure of its existence," Lireesa II explained. "Although my gut told me it wasn't dangerous, you should control yourself. I don't know why I always hear their clarifications in my mind unlike you."
"What did you hear? It seems I'm the only one who is blind." Lireesa's face puzzled. "I mean the first treasure; you seem to have an idea what the book's function was. Now, you also know what this huge gate is meant for. It's annoying I'm always oblivious."
"Well, I'm also not clear. It's more like some inner voice whispering to me what these treasures are for. For example, the book was the epitome of the law for any knowledge. This gate in front is connected to several worlds and we could use it to travel to different planes."
"What! Traveling different universe!" Lireesa's face blushed and her eyes reddened. The breathing became rapid. Her excitement wasn't without reason and Lireesa II also understood her exasperated feeling.
Nobody missed her home as Lireesa did right now. Separated across several worlds, Lireesa had given up and kept the longing in her heart. Realizing this might be the opportunity to return, Lireesa's mood became uncontrollable even if her memory had more than 2600 years duration. She quickly calmed down after noticing her extreme gaffe.
"I'm sorry. I lost control." Lireesa's voice sounded ups and downs.
"I understand but don't have your hope too high because I've got a feeling it's going to take a very long time until you reached the pinnacle; at that time, you could return. For now, it's still far away."
"But there's hope. Better than without a possibility. Now my heart is full of passion after I find a new goal to pursue. Before it was more of a responsibility. Now in addition to guarding our family, I had a new reason to seek strength."
"Hmm. I'm glad to hear from you. You must not forget to create a new body for me. Since Godhood is possible, I hope to live on my own rather than inside your mind." Lireesa II's eyes glittered and said solemnly.
"Naturally, who in the world wanted someone listening to my inner thoughts?" Lireesa replied clicking her tongue.
"Now you better return to your world and complete your business. It's unsafe to leave your daughter alone for a long time." Lireesa II smiled and warned Lireesa to go back, after receiving a promise from her. "In the meantime, I'll be studying these artifacts and we can discuss them together when you're free."
She waved her hand as a gesture of shooing away Lireesa, who was about to laugh but was astounded in the next second. Lireesa felt empty flying away like being kicked out and quickly distanced from Lireesa II. Her vision turned white again.
Afterward, Lireesa opened her eyes and saw the forest lush with trees and grasses. Leaves slowly fell around her and Lireesa glanced at Alleria who was leaning against her mount and looking back at her. Lireesa's mouth twitched at the thought even inside her own soul realm, she was thrown off. Who was the real owner? And the tone that urged her to beat someone as if the treasure belonged to her. Lireesa shook her head helplessly.
Seeing Alleria smile and hopping along her path, Lireesa's mouth turned into a curve. Before she spoke with her daughter, she checked herself and discovered her power was enormous, incomparable prior to her breakthrough.
Her sense, agility, strength, and mana had all been boosted. Especially the amount of mana stored inside her body almost dumbfounded Lireesa into an open mouth. In other words, Lireesa could beat her previous one who abused the troll Legend, effortlessly without taking a breath.
Her current combat power should be able to fight and abuse Legend advance tier; she could exchange a few rounds with Legend pinnacle although she would be on the losing side. But if Thas'dorah bolstered her, she could easily deal with Legendary peak and Lireesa didn't even know her limits.
In addition, she only needed to accumulate more mana in order for her other profession to become an Archmage. Although she only knew a few spells, Lireesa wasn't worried after she discovered 'The Book of Wisdom' could provide her with such help.
"Mother, You're already a Legend, right?" Alleria asked in anticipation and after receiving a nod from Lireesa, she clapped her hand vigorously. "Congratulations! Mother, you've become the first Legendary ranger in history."
Being acclaimed by her own daughter, she could help being proud. She wasn't denying, it was refreshing to see her daughter's admiring gaze.
"You will also reach this stage, my dear." Lireesa stood up and patted Alleria's head. Her reply was regarded as comfort by Alleria, because since her mother was the first for a millennium, it appeared ranger upgrading toward legend realm involved huge difficulties. Alleria wasn't too hopeful.
Lireesa saw through Alleria's thoughts but didn't speak up. The results would prove in the future. For now, she should fly toward Silvermoon and must not forget what she wished for. Because of her cheats, her desires went down as she didn't know what to ask for from the king.
As her hand grasped Alleria's, Lireesa walked toward her mount and almost stumbled. It was a voice from Lireesa II.
'I'm relieved, you didn't have perverted thoughts at my daughters. At least, you have principle.'
Lireesa's forehead grew big and her face went blank. 'Please, it's my own daughter anyway. I might admire their beauty but I'm not such low grade.'
'You sure? Why is incest popular in your old world? I even found several in your memories.'
'Stop reading my memory. Please! It's all nonsense. I swore I'm very a man…ahem… a woman of culture with code of conduct.' Lireesa scolded inwardly at her curious another and her change in facial expression confused Alleria feeling explicable why her mother patted her own chest.
Ignoring her daughter's piercing gaze, Lireesa hopped onto the dragonhawk and made space for Alleria, who climbed up afterward. She motioned her mount to lift off and flew in the air. The destination was Silvermoon.
I hope it's not confusing though. Lireesa and Lireesa II.
Don't worry most of the time, they would be in innermonologue.
