Chapter 20

The second round, ninth arena. Jim is facing his second opponent in the competition. Hary Marlin use his air blade to attack Jim. Jim dodges the attack and spray his flame at Hary. Hary stomp the ground with his left leg, a wall of wind blocks the flame spray. He then stomp his right leg, powerful wave of wind hits Jim, pushing him backward. He then rush to Jim to attack with his air blade. Jim blocks the attack with his fire fist. "It should have slice your hand in real battle, brat."

Hary kick Jim, Jim get pushed backward. Second point for Hary. Jim tries to concentrate his mana to fires a second flame spray. But the wind wall block the attack. Meanwhile the meantime Jim reached the opposite site as the flame interrupted Hary's vision. Jim launch a punch on Hary's back. 2-1 points. Hary tries to attack with his air blade. Jim punch the ground, the concentrated mana in his hand forms a fire wall between Jim and Hary. Hary get a direct hit from the fire wall but the effect of the barrier nullify the damage caused by the fire wall. 2 points for Jim.

Hary summoned a tornado and direct it towards Jim. Jim tries to nullified the attack but the tornado was very powerful and it spinning force pulled Jim towards itself. Jim get a hit by the tornado. Hary secured a point for him. Tornado stops and Jim fell down to ground. Hary stomp his right leg and attack Jim with wind wave. Hary scores a total of 4 points. He attack Jim with his air blade to score the last point. Jim punches his fist on the ground and summoned a fire wall. The wall block Hary's attack and Hary dash towards the left side of the wall to attack Jim.

But Jim wasn't there, he look his sides and the back. Jim attacked him from above, Hary tries to dodge the attack. But he noticed Jim very late. Jim throws two punches on Hary, first one on his forehead. Second one on his chest. Hary fall down. Jim punches him third time while he is above Hary. But Hary block his punch and push him back. 4-4. Only one more perfect hit, Hary or Jim can win the match. Jim balance his body to not fall down. Hary jump back to his feet.

Jim fire flames at Hary, he dodge the flames. Hary uses wind wave at Jim. Jim dodge the attacks. Each of them attacks and dodge the opponent's attacks while closing their distance. The ranged combat became a close melee fight. Jim punches Hary. Hary blocks his punch. He used air blade to Jim's chest but Jim bend his body to dodge it. Jim kick Hary's stomach with his leg. It was a direct hit. Jim scores 5 points. Hary loses the match. He came to Jim and congrats him for his victory. "It was a good fight."

The second round of E rank competition with only 20 competitor remaining.The third round began at afternoon, meanwhile everyone went to eat thier meal. Jim meet up with his uncle and other adventurer. "It was a good match, Jim." An adventurer congrats Jim for winning the match. Arthur introduced the adventurer to Jim. Ryuga, a B rank water elementalist, who talked to Jim. Milena, C rank female adventurer who talks a lot. Saurus, a D rank adventurer who only like to eat. Saurus is fat but he is enough strong to defeat a C ranked monster. Lastly is Ryumin, Ryuga's sister who accompanied them.

Ryumin told Arthur that it will take 3 days to complete one ranked competition. She tells Jim to vary of five people in the E rank competition. "Jim you should vary Aqua from Miraid City. Her water element attack give you a disadvantage in the fight. Second is Reans from Mishra, who uses deviant power which creates a flower with special power. Kyler, a rock type elementalist, who body is tough as steel. Vivian whose swordmanship is top among E rank and her element is not known during the competition. Bail from Forst City who element is Ice."

"You shouldn't ignore Ryumin advice as she is a elemental researcher." Arthur asked Jim to take her suggestions seriously. Ryumin is a researcher of Moonshines at Merlin Fortress. They research on element and how to use it in various way. She is the chief researcher of Moonshines. She start her research with her father at a young age while her brother focus on fighting. Her research mainly focus on the deviant power or she call it as the tenth element. She came to Union Conference for her research on deviants power. She take care of the adventurer of the Loton town until Arthur came.

The third round is about to began. The Judges take their seat and the spectators also came to see the match. The announcer announces the fixtures of the matches. In the first Arena the match betwen Kyler from Rocker's Raven and Titus from Skyline City was about to began. Kyler enhance his body. A stone guanlet formed around his both hands. He stomp the ground with his left leg, a rock fly from the ground. He punches the rock towards Titus. Titus hit the rock coming towards him with his hand using fire power.

He shattered the stone and dash towards Kyler and punches him. Kyler withstand the punch with his bare body. One point for Titus. Kyler punch back. Titus dodge the punch. Titus concentrate his power in his hand. His hand began to burn, the flame gave him enough power. As Titus punch Kyler, his hand emit a thunder and the effect of thunder and fire to his punch. Kyler couldn't withstand Titus and got knocked out of the arena. The Red Queen and Dragon Hunter were in a shock. As Titus was a dual elementalist. An elementalist who weild the power of two elements like Legendary adventurer Zi Kun.
